Synthesis and herbicidal activity of 4-chloro-2-nitroanilides of α,ß-unsaturated acids

The acylation of 4-chloro-2-nitroaniline by ,3-unsaturated acids in the presence of a threefold excess of phosphorus pentoxide has been studied. The 4-chloro-2-nitroanilides of acrylic, methacrylic, crotonic, cinnamic, ß,ß-dimethylacrylic, and ,ß,ß-trichloroacrylic acids have been obtained for the first time.     

Novel and facile synthesis of fluorinated enamino ketones and amino alcohols

Selected imines and one bis-imine react via their enamine tautomers with terminal perfluorinated epoxides, e.g. hexafluoropropene oxide to produce fluorinated enamino ketones or imino ketones. In contrast, internal perfluorinated linear epoxides and one cyclic epoxide yield intermediate imino alcohols, which in one case added hexafluoroacetone, furnishing a new imino diol investigated by X-ray diffraction.     

Benzoxazolinones. II. Synthesis of 3-vinylbenzoxazolinones and 3-vinylbenzoxazolinethione

A method has been developed for obtaining 3-vinylbenzoxazolinones and 3-vinylbenzoxazolinethione. Condensation of acetanilide and N-phenylbutyrolacatam with γ-butyrolactone

1,2,3,4-Tetrahydro-2-quinolone and -6-(1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-2-quinolonyl)butyric acid were obtained by condensation of acetanilide with -butyrolactone in the presence of aluminum chloride. -n-(N-phenylbutyrolactamyl)butyric acid was obtained by carboxyalkylation of N-phenylbutyrolactam with -butyrolactone.Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 1, pp. 77–79, January, 1973.     

Molecular structure of 6,6-dimethyl-2-dimethylamino-2-oxo-4,5; 7,8-dibenzo-1,3,6,2-dioxasilaphosphocin and 2-methyl-2,6-dioxo-4,5; 7,8-dibenzo-1,3,2-dioxaphosphocin

An x-ray structural investigation of the synthesized title compounds (1) and (2) has been performed. The heterocycle of 1 has a boat-chair conformation with the P²=O² bond in the axial position. The heterocycle of 2 has a distorted-boat conformation with the C⁶=O carbonyl in the plane of one of the fused benzene rings. The P²=O² bond is in a pseudoequatorial position.A. E. Zur Komplexierung von enantiomerenreinen cis- und trans-3-Diphenylphosphino-4-hydroxy-tetrahydrofuranen mit [Rh(COD)2]BF4

The complexation behaviour of cis- und trans-3-diphenylphosphino-4-hydroxyl-tetrahydrofurans with [Rh(COD)₂]BF₄ is studied with the help of NMR and IR spectroscopy. In dependence of the spatial arrangement of hydroxyl and phosphino group the formation of different intra- and intermolecular bridged O-P complexes has been observed.

Zusammenfassung

Das Komplexierungsverhalten von cis- und trans-3-Diphenylphosphino-4-hydroxy-tetrahydrofuranen mit [Rh(COD)₂]BF₄ wird mit Hilfe von NMR- und IR-Spektroskopie studiert. In Abhängigkeit von der räumlichen Anordnung von Hydroxy- und Phosphinogruppe zueinander wird die Bildung von intra- bzw. intermolekular verbrückten O-P-Komplexen beobachtet.     

Synthesis of formamidines from 2-amino-3-methylquinazolin-4-one and its 6-nitro derivative

The review is devoted to the study of the alkaloids of plants of the genusUngernia (Amaryllidaceae). It gives their characteristic reactions and information on the determination of their structures and stereochemistry and on the dynamics of the accumulation of alkaloids in the plants of the genusUngernia. A dependence of the physiological activity of the alkaloids on their structure is shown.
