The question of the anisotropy of the electron scattering in high temperature superconductors is investigated using high resolution angle-resolved photoemission data from Pb-doped Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 (Bi2212) with suppressed superstructure. The scattering rate of low energy electrons along two bilayer-split pieces of the Fermi surface is measured (via the quasiparticle peak width), and no increase of scattering towards the antinode (pi,0) region is observed, contradicting the expectation from Q=(pi,pi) scattering. The results put a limit on the effects of Q=(pi,pi) scattering on the electronic structure of this overdoped superconductor with still very high T(c). 相似文献

Using the improved brick-wall model, we have calculated the first quantum correction to the entropy of non-static black holes, Vaidya-Bonner black holes, due to the gravitational, electro-magnetic and neutrino fields. The result shows that both bosonic entropy and fermionic entropy are exactly proportional to the area of the event horizon. Thus, the entropy-area law still holds in such a non-static case. 相似文献

The influence of polyolefin elastomer (POE) content on the fracture behavior of injection-molded polypropylene (PP)/POE blends was evaluated by means of the essential work of fracture (EWF) method. The results indicated that the EWF approach worked well for the PP/POE blends when POE content was 0~7.5 wt% of the blends. The specific essential work of fracture (w e) increased with increasing POE content, and the dominant factor that affected w e was the necking and subsequent fracture process. The specific nonessential work of fracture (βw p) slightly decreased with increasing POE content, while the specific plastic work (w p) showed an increasing trend with the decrease of the shape factor (β) of the specimen. A triblock copolymer of styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) was blended with a high and a low molecular weight polybutadiene [designated as PB(H) and PB(L), respectively]. Electron micrographs of these blends show that PB(L) was solubilized into the butadiene domains of the SBS, while PB(H) was present in a separate phase. Dynamic mechanical data of the SBS&PB(L) blends indicate the presence of an intermediate loss peak between those of the glass transitions of the styrene and butadiene blocks in SBS, which can be attributed to the slippage of untrapped entanglements of PB(L) chains. Similar data for blends containing PB(H) also show an intermediate loss peak, which is, however, due to crystallization and melting of the polycisbutadiene chains. The peak due to the primary glass transition of the butadiene phase was shifted to lower temperatures upon incorporation of PB(L) as a result of plasticization effect of PB(L). The same transition for PB(H) blends is split into a doublet because of the presence of the homopolymer in a separate phase. Freeform optical surfaces (FOSs) will be the best elements in the design of compact optical systems in the future. However, it is extremely difficult to measure freeform surface with sufficient accuracy, which impedes the development of the freeform surface. The design and fabrication of computer-generated hologram (CGH) , which has been successfully applied to the tests for aspheric surfaces, cannot be directly adopted to test FOSs due to their non-rotational asymmetry. A novel ray tracing planning method combined with successively optimizing even and odd power coefficients of phase polynomials in turn is proposed, which can successfully design a non-rotational asymmetry CGH for the tests of FOSs with an F-θ lens. A new eight-step fabrication process is also presented aiming to solve the problem that the linewidth on the same circle of the CGH for testing freeform surface is not uniform. This problem cannot be solved in the original procedure of CGH fabrication. The test results of the step profiler show that the CGH fabricated in the new procedure meets the requirements. 相似文献

Cladding-ring-equivalent effective index method (CREEIM) is proposed to analyze the propagation characteristics in the multi-cladding photonic crystal fibers (MCPCFs). The effective indices and dispersions of the step index two and three-cladding structures are calculated with the Sellmeier formula. The accuracy of CREEIM is competitive to the results calculated by the multipole method (MPM). With different structure parameters, the differences between two methods are evaluated with the relative error RE of effective index and relative difference RD of dispersion. This method is also used to analyze the mode cut-off and nonlinear characteristics in the three-cladding structure PCFs by calculating the mode effective index neff instead of complex mode field distribution. 相似文献

We report the fabrication of one-dimensional (1D) Bi nanowires grown on Ag(1 1 1) with average lateral width from 9 to 20 nm by physical vapor deposition in ultra high vacuum conditions. In situ low-temperature scanning tunneling microscopy analyses reveal that the preferred growth of 1D Bi nanostructures is driven by the highly anisotropic bonding in the crystallographic structure of the Bi(1 1 0) plane. The Bi nanowires grow along direction and align with the directions on Ag(1 1 1). The growth of the Bi nanowires proceeds in a bilayer growth mode resulting from the layer pairing in Bi(1 1 0) which saturates the dangling bonds and lowers the total energy. 相似文献

The magnetization behavior in nanocrystalline permanent magnets has been investigated using mean field Stoner–Wohlfarth model. The model is comparatively simple but allows the numerical treatment of extended nanostructures. The predominant intergrain exchange coupling is expressed by a mean field constant Nm in spite of no explicit relationship between Nm and the microstructure. By this model, the experimental phenomena, such as the remanence enhancement, the shape of demagnetization curve, the irreversible magnetization, the exchange bias field and their respective temperature dependence, can be well explained.
