We present a novel concept for microscopic imaging. The proposed microscope-like device does not include an objective lens neither a condenser. Instead, a metallic plate of sub-wavelength hole-array with a varying pitch is used to illuminate the inspected object that is mounted very close to it. As a result, the transmitted spectrum through each hole differs from the others and therefore, each spot of the detected object is illuminated with a unique spectrum. By measuring a single spectrum that is the sum of all the spectra that are transmitted through the sample and by using spectral decomposition algorithms, the spatial transmission pattern of the object can be extracted.  相似文献

In this paper the influence on sound reduction index of the length and the depth of sound leaks at the perimeter of lightweight partitions was examined. It was shown that the most important decrease on sound reduction index is caused by the first slit between lightweight partition and one of the structural members. When the length of the slit is increased, the decrease on sound reduction index is less significative. Calculated results show the same effects as measured ones.  相似文献

Electrically contacted gold-nanocluster arrays formed within electromigration-induced break junctions exhibit bright, field-dependent electroluminescence in the near infrared (650-800 nm). Intensity autocorrelation of spatially isolated individual nanocluster emission driven at high electrical frequency (f(ac)= approximately 200 MHz) reveals antibunched electroluminescence at room temperature. These results demonstrate the single quantum nature of several-atom gold molecules and suggest their use as room-temperature electrically driven single-photon sources.  相似文献

Wavelet-based ultra-high compression of multidimensional NMR data sets   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The application of a lossy data compression algorithm based on wavelet transform to 2D NMR spectra is presented. We show that this algorithm affords rapid and extreme compression ratios (e.g., 800:1), providing high quality reconstructed 2D spectra. The algorithm was evaluated to ensure that qualitative and quantitative information are retained in the compressed NMR spectra. Whilst the maximum compression ratio that can be achieved depends on the number of signals and on the difference between the most and the least intense peaks (dynamic range), a compression ratio of 80:1 is affordable even for the challenging case of homonuclear 2D experiments of large biomolecules.  相似文献

We present a generic regularized formulation, based on robust half-quadratic regularization, for unwrapping noisy and discontinuous wrapped phase maps. Two cases are presented: the convex case and the nonconvex case. The unwrapped phase with the convex formulation is unique and robust to noise; however, the convex function solution deteriorates as a result of real discontinuities in phase maps. Therefore we also present a nonconvex formulation that, with a parameter continuation strategy, shows superior performance.  相似文献

Silica glass samples containing CdSe/Eu3+ ions were prepared by sol-gel route. Size distribution and optical band gap of the nanoparticles were calculated from absorption spectrum. It is observed that the presence of CdSe nanocrystallites enhances the fluorescence of europium in silica glass. The phonon sideband spectrum associated with the excitation transition 7F0-5D2 is used to analyze the electron-phonon coupling and nonradiative deexcitiation of the rare earth ions in the glass host, The observed fluorescence enhancement is discussed on the basis of phonon assisted energy transfer from electron-hole recombination of the CdSe nanocrystallites to the rare earth ion and multiphonon relaxation.  相似文献

We have measured the 4He(e, ep)3H reaction at missing momenta of 130-300 MeV/c using the three-spectrometer facility at the Mainz microtron MAMI. Data were taken in perpendicular kinematics to allow us to determine the response function RLT and the asymmetry term ATL. Recent analyses of cosmological data suggest the presence of an extra relativistic component beyond the Standard Model content. The Higgs–Dilaton cosmological model predicts the existence of a massless particle – the dilaton – associated with the spontaneous symmetry breaking of scale invariance and undetectable by any accelerator experiment. Its ultrarelativistic character makes it a suitable candidate for contributing to the effective number of light degrees of freedom in the Universe. In this Letter we analyze the dilaton production at the (p)reheating stage right after inflation and conclude that no extra relativistic degrees of freedom beyond those already present in the Standard Model are expected within the simplest Higgs–Dilaton scenario. The elusive dilaton remains thus essentially undetectable by any particle physics experiment or cosmological observation.  相似文献
