The proliferation of probable prime tests in recent years has produced a plethora of definitions with the word ``pseudoprime' in them. Examples include pseudoprimes, Euler pseudoprimes, strong pseudoprimes, Lucas pseudoprimes, strong Lucas pseudoprimes, extra strong Lucas pseudoprimes and Perrin pseudoprimes. Though these tests represent a wealth of ideas, they exist as a hodge-podge of definitions rather than as examples of a more general theory. It is the goal of this paper to present a way of viewing many of these tests as special cases of a general principle, as well as to re-formulate them in the context of finite fields.
One aim of the reformulation is to enable the creation of stronger tests; another is to aid in proving results about large classes of pseudoprimes.

The synthesis and characterization of four C 60 Bingel cyclopropanation adducts incorporating bis-biphenylene (three adducts) and bis-triphenylene (one adduct) moieties are described. The thermal analysis (POM and DSC) of these materials reveals that they are not liquid crystalline. However, two of the precursor bis-biphenylene malonate esters possess monotropic mesophases. Furthermore, each of the corresponding C 60 adducts is miscible in the melts of the precursor malonate ester, and at low dopings, retains the liquid crystalline monotropic mesophases of the precursor. 相似文献

This paper assesses two different theories for explaining consciousness, a phenomenon that is widely considered amenable to scientific investigation despite its puzzling subjective aspects. I focus on Integrated Information Theory (IIT), which says that consciousness is integrated information (as ϕMax) and says even simple systems with interacting parts possess some consciousness. First, I evaluate IIT on its own merits. Second, I compare it to a more traditionally derived theory called Neurobiological Naturalism (NN), which says consciousness is an evolved, emergent feature of complex brains. Comparing these theories is informative because it reveals strengths and weaknesses of each, thereby suggesting better ways to study consciousness in the future. IIT’s strengths are the reasonable axioms at its core; its strong logic and mathematical formalism; its creative “experience-first” approach to studying consciousness; the way it avoids the mind-body (“hard”) problem; its consistency with evolutionary theory; and its many scientifically testable predictions. The potential weakness of IIT is that it contains stretches of logic-based reasoning that were not checked against hard evidence when the theory was being constructed, whereas scientific arguments require such supporting evidence to keep the reasoning on course. This is less of a concern for the other theory, NN, because it incorporated evidence much earlier in its construction process. NN is a less mature theory than IIT, less formalized and quantitative, and less well tested. However, it has identified its own neural correlates of consciousness (NCC) and offers a roadmap through which these NNCs may answer the questions of consciousness using the hypothesize-test-hypothesize-test steps of the scientific method. 相似文献

Preparation method of polyaniline/montmorillonite (PANI/MMT) nanocomposite in the form of thin layer deposited on various substrates is optimized in this work to obtain high electrical conductivity. Simple method (i.e. polymerization of anilinium sulfate in the presence of MMT) has been used for the preparation and following four conditions were varied: preparation temperature (T = 10 or 20 °C), preparation time (t = 4 or 6 h), size fraction of MMT (p < 1 or 5 µm), and type of substrate (microscope glass slides, silica glass slides, polyester foils). Therefore, 24 samples were prepared, characterized and their electrical conductivity was compared. Raman spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy were used for the characterization of the structure of samples. Thickness of layers was measured using atomic force microscopy. Based on the comparison of samples and with respect to the aim of obtaining high electrical conductivity, it was found that the most suitable substrate is polyester foil and preparation conditions are T = 20 °C, t = 6 h, p < 5 µm. To obtain highly conductive layers on glass substrates (although less conductive than layers on foil), preparation time have to be shortened to 4 h. 相似文献

Conducting polymer polyaniline which is nowadays in forefront of the interest was in our study prepared in a form of thin films from anilinium sulfate by its chemical oxidation using ammonium peroxydisulfate. During the oxidation process, the polyaniline was deposited on glass slides and immersed into reaction mixture. Two sets of polyaniline thin films were prepared with different oxidation times (10, 20, 30, and 40 min). The first set was kept dry in desiccator and the second one was freely exposed to air moisture. Raman spectroscopy, nondestructive technique which is very sensitive to changes in structure of polymers, was used for the characterization of the protonation state of prepared polyaniline thin films. It was found that storage conditions affect the protonation state which in case of samples kept in desiccator is maintained without significant changes for longer time. Raman spectroscopy also revealed the dependence of protonation state on the oxidation time and 10 min proved as not sufficient for the creation of the protonation form of polyaniline. 相似文献

The full (1)H and (13)C NMR chemical shift assignment of 2α-methyl-17α(H),21β(H)-hopane is presented. This compound is formed in mature sediments from biogenic sources of 2β-methyl-17β(H),21β(H)-hopanoids, which include several cyanobacteria. In addition, full (1)H and (13)C NMR chemical shift data of all four 17,21 isomers of 3β-methylhopane have been assigned. The thermodynamically most stable 3β-configuration corresponds to that found in bacterial sources. The data presented here suggest minor corrections to the (13)C chemical assignments reported earlier for 17α(H)-hopanes. Moreover, spectral evidence indicates an unexpected ring-D boat conformation of 17α(H),21α(H)-hopanes, which may serve to explain the steric strain reported for this isomer. 相似文献

This paper considers the propagation of Stoneley modes along the interfaces of three-layered concentric cylindrical solid media in order to assist in the design of ultrasonic transmission rods. The phase velocity dispersion curves and amplitude distributions are numerically analyzed. The modes are analogous to non-dispersive Stoneley waves and are confined to the vicinities of the two interfaces at high frequency. A key finding is that the peak amplitude location for each mode transfers between the two interfaces as a function of frequency. A simplified model is introduced, giving the peak amplitude locations of each mode in different frequency ranges efficiently. 相似文献
