The application of natural products and supplements has expanded tremendously over the past few decades. Clinacanthus nutans (C. nutans), which is affiliated to the Acanthaceae family, has recently caught the interest of researchers from the countries of subtropical Asia due to its medicinal uses in alternative treatment for skin infection conditions due to insect bites, microorganism infections and cancer, as well as for health well-being. A number of bioactive compounds from this plant’s extract, namely phenolic compounds, sulphur containing compounds, sulphur containing glycosides compounds, terpens-tripenoids, terpens-phytosterols and chlorophyll-related compounds possess high antioxidant activities. This literature search yielded about one hundred articles which were then further documented, including the valuable data and findings obtained from all accessible electronic searches and library databases. The promising pharmacological activities from C. nutans leaves extract, including antioxidant, anti-cancer, anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-venom, analgesic and anti-nociceptive properties were meticulously dissected. Moreover, the authors also discuss a few of the pharmacological aspect of C. nutans leaves extracts against anti-hyperlipidemia, vasorelaxation and renoprotective activities, which are seldom available from the previously discussed review papers. From the aspect of toxicological studies, controversial findings have been reported in both in-vitro and in-vivo experiments. Thus, further investigations on their phytochemical compounds and their mode of action showing pharmacological activities are required to fully grasp both traditional usage and their suitability for future drugs development. Data related to therapeutic activity and the constituents of C. nutans leaves were searched by using the search engines Google scholar, PubMed, Scopus and Science Direct, and accepting literature reported between 2010 to present. On the whole, this review paper compiles all the available contemporary data from this subtropical herb on its phytochemistry and pharmacological activities with a view towards garnering further interest in exploring its use in cardiovascular and renal diseases.  相似文献

Pure rotation spectra of deuterated samples of hydrogen sulfide have been recorded between 25 and 280 cm?1 with a Fourier transform spectrometer at an apodized resolution of 0.004 cm?1. Accurate rotational and centrifugal distortion constants have been derived from the observed line positions for the four isotopic species D232S, D234S, HD32S, and HD34S. Finally, an extensive list of calculated and observed line positions, together with their calculated intensities is presented.  相似文献

The ν3 fundamental band (CO stretch) of HDCO at 1724 cm?1 has been studied using both conventional infrared absorption and CO laser Stark spectroscopy. In addition to the excited-state (v3 = 1) rotational constants, improved constants for the ground state of HDCO have been obtained by combining previous microwave data with some infrared combination differences. A novel approach with respect to single point imaging (SPI), compressed sensing, is presented here that is shown to significantly reduce the loss of accuracy of reconstructed images from under-sampled acquisition data. SPI complements compressed sensing extremely well as it allows unconstrained selection of sampling trajectories. Dynamic processes featuring short NMR signal can thus be more rapidly imaged, in our case the absorption of moisture by a cereal-based wafer material, with minimal loss of image quantification. The absolute moisture content distribution is recovered via a series of images acquired with variable phase encoding times allowing extrapolation to time zero for each image pixel and the effective removal of contrast.  相似文献

A numerical method is described that may be used to determine the propagation characteristics of weakly non‐hydrostatic non‐linear free surface waves over a general, bottom topography. In shallow water of constant undisturbed depth, such waves are equivalent to the familiar cnoidal waves characterized by sharp crests and relatively flat troughs. For a certain range of parameters, these propagate without change of form by virtue of the weakly non‐hydrostatic balance in the vertical momentum equation. Effectively, this counters the tendency for the non‐linearity in a purely hydrostatic theory to lead to a continuously deforming surface wave profile. The realistic representation furnished by cnoidal wave theory of free surface waves in the shallow near‐shore zone has led to its utilization in evaluating their propagation characteristics. Nonetheless, the classic analytical theory is inapplicable to the case of wave propagation over a sloping beach or off‐shore sand bar topography. Under these conditions, a local change in form of the surface wave profile is anticipated before the waves break and knowing this is required in order to evaluate fully the propagation process. The efficacy of the numerical method is first demonstrated by comparing the solution for water of constant depth with the evaluation of the analytical solution expressed in terms of the Jacobian elliptic function cn. The general method described in the paper is then illustrated by experiments to determine the change in profile of weakly non‐hydrostatic non‐linear surface waves propagating over bed forms representative of those found in shallow coastal seas. Rapid surface-to-volume ratio and tortuosity measurement using Difftrain   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:1  
Analysis of diffusion measurements as a function of observation time (Delta), to calculate surface-to-volume ratios (S/V) and tortuosities (kappa), is a useful tool in the characterisation of porous media using NMR. However, using conventional pulsed field gradient (PFG) measurements, this requires long total experiment times (typically hours). Here, we show how the rapid diffusion measurement pulse sequence, Difftrain, can be used to provide the required experimental data much more rapidly (typically within minutes) with a consequential reduction in total experiment time of typically over an order of magnitude. Several novel modifications to the Difftrain pulse sequence are also presented to tailor it to this particular application; these include a variable delay between echoes (to ensure optimal echo position with respect to Delta) and a variable tip angle for the refocusing pulse (to ensure optimal use of available signal). Difftrain is applied to measure both S/V and kappa for a model glass bead pack; excellent agreement is found with both a conventional PFG measurement and with a bulk gravimetric measurement of S/V.  相似文献
