Synthesis of Glycoside Derivatives Employing the Ferrier Rearrangement 1

Abstract

Various glycals underwent smooth Lewis acid-catalysed allylic rearrangement reactions with O-nucleophiles to yield 2,3-unsaturated glycoside derivatives. In the hexose series predominantly α-D-, and in the pentose series β-D-anomers resulted. Among others Ω-cyano- as well as Ω-benzyloxycarbonylamino functionalised alcohols could be used successfully. With diols the corresponding 1,1′-bridged disaccharides could be obtained.

     

On the interior regularity of weak solutions to the non-stationary Stokes system

In this paper, we prove that any weak solution to the non-stationary Stokes system in 3D with right hand side -div f satisfying (1.4) below, belongs to C( ]0, T[; C ^α (Ω)). Monotonicity properties of the quantum mechanical particle density: an elementary proof

The negative quantum mechanical particle density in its dependence on the potential in the Hamiltonian is a nonlinear operator. We give an explicit proof of the monotonicity of this operator for a large class of admissible thermodynamic equilibrium distribution functions. In particular the zero temperature case is included.
