The influence of 8 MeV electrons on the crystalline structure of HgTe and Hg1-xCdxTe thin films was studied. HgTe and Hg1-xCdxTe layers were obtained by thermal evaporation and condensation in vacuum on optically flat silica glass substrates heated at different temperatures. One finds that the results of irradiation of HgTe and Hg1-xCdxTe thin films with 8 MeV electrons depend on the preparation conditions of the samples, and therefore on the level of perfection of the crystalline structure and the quantity of nonstoichiometric atoms. 相似文献

The characteristics and performance of an ionic polymer–metal composite (IPMC), prepared with an anion‐exchange acrylic copolymer, was examined. The acrylic copolymer was synthesized by the radical copolymerization of fluoroalkyl methacrylate and 2‐(dimethyl amino)ethyl methacrylate(AMA). Effects of the AMA repeating unit's content in the copolymer and effects of the anion type present on the actuation of the IPMC were observed. The optimal content of 19.4 wt% AMA in the IPMC copolymer yielded the best actuation. The steady-state fluorescence (SSF) technique was introduced for studying swelling of disc-shaped polyacrylamide (PAAm) gels containing various amount of κ?carrageenan (κC). They were prepared by free-radical cross-linking copolymerization. N,N′-methylenebisacrylamide (BIS) and ammonium persulfate (APS) were added as a cross-linker and an initiator, respectively. Composite gels were prepared at 80°C with pyranine as a fluorescence probe. After drying of these gels, swelling kinetics were performed in water at 60°C by real-time monitoring of the pyranine fluorescence intensity, I, which decreased as swelling proceeded. The Li–Tanaka equation was used to determine the swelling time constants, τ 1, and cooperative diffusion coefficients, D 0, from fluorescence intensity, weight, and volume variations of the gels during the swelling processes in all cases. It was observed that τ 1 decreased and D 0 increased as the κC concentrations in the composites were increased indicating that high κC gels swell faster than low κC gels. 相似文献

Bay leaves (BL) (Laurus nobilis L., Family: Laureceae) are traditionally used to treat some symptoms of gastrointestinal problems, such as epigastric bloating, impaired digestion, eructing and flatulence. These biological properties are mainly attributed to its phenolic compounds. In this paper, ultrasound-assisted extraction of phenolic compounds from Laurus nobilis L. (Laureceae) was studied.Effects of several experimental factors, such as sonication time, solid/liquid ratio and concentration of solvent on extraction of phenolic compounds were evaluated through a randomized complete block design with factorial treatment arrangement (33). The best extraction conditions were: 1 g plant sample with 12 mL of 35% ethanol, for 40 min, obtaining a yield of phenolic compounds of 17.32 ± 1.52 mg g?1 of plant. In addition, free radical-scavenging potential of DPPH and lipid oxidation inhibition, by linoleic acid peroxidation of the selected extract was measured in order to evidence their antioxidant properties. Results indicated that high amounts of phenolic compounds can be extracted from L. nobilis by ultrasound-assisted extraction technology. 相似文献

The activity concentrations of gamma emitting radionuclides were measured in surface soil samples from the Thrace region. 232Th, 238U, 226Ra, 40K and 137Cs activities and physico-chemical parameters of the soil samples were determined in samples collected from 73 sampling stations. Radionuclide concentrations measured were compared with those found in the samples from other locations of Turkey and from different countries. The average activity concentrations of 232Th, 238U, 226Ra, 40K and 137Cs were found to be 24.71 ± 8.79, 22.30 ± 7.93, 32.09±12.44, 509.00±160.05, 32.74±29.24 Bq kg?1, respectively. The mean value of the annual effective dose equivalent from the outdoor terrestrial gamma radiation was calculated as 57.2 μ Sv. 相似文献

Experimental results on dc and ac susceptibility, magnetization and magnetic relaxation, specific heat, electrical resistivity and magnetoresistivity up to 8?T are reported for the novel ternary uranium aluminide U3Co4.55Al11.45. The temperature dependence of the dc susceptibility shows a cusp at a characteristic temperature T f?=?8–10?K that depends weakly on the applied magnetic field. The observed pronounced difference between the ZFC and FC magnetizations, as well as the decay in the remanent, both give evidence that a highly irreversible, frozen state is formed below T f which is reminiscent of spin-glass behaviour. The real and imaginary parts of the ac susceptibility show that the corresponding T f peaks are only slightly dependent on frequency. Electrical resistivity measured at zero and in fields up to 8?T indicates that the Kondo-like state becomes dominant at temperatures above T f. 相似文献

The mechanism of serrated grain boundary formation and its effect on liquation behaviour have been studied in a wrought nickel-based superalloy – Alloy 263. It was newly discovered that grain boundaries are considerably serrated in the absence of γ?′-phase or M23C6 at the grain boundaries. An electron energy-loss spectroscopy study suggests that serration is triggered by the discontinuous segregation of C and Cr atoms at grain boundaries for the purpose of relieving the excessive elastic strain energy. The grain boundaries serrate to have specific segments approaching one {111} low-index plane at a boundary so that the interfacial free energy of the grain boundary can be decreased, which may be responsible for the driving force of the serration. The serrated grain boundaries effectively suppress grain coarsening and are highly resistant to liquation due to their lower wettability resulting from a lower interfacial energy of the grain boundary. 相似文献

This paper reports the feasibility of nano-oxide precipitate formation in Fe–Cr alloy by ion implantation synthesis. High contents of Al+ and O+ ions were implanted into thin films of high purity Fe–10%Cr alloy at room temperature and were studied by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and atom probe tomography (APT). In contrast, to the common two-stage implantation/annealing scheme of precipitate ensemble synthesis by ion beams, cluster formation took place at the implantation stage in our study, requiring no subsequent high-temperature annealing. The post-implantation microstructural examination revealed in the as-implanted thin foil an array of precipitates with diameters in the range of 3–30?nm. The precipitate number density distribution was found to depend on the foil thickness. The precipitate enrichment with both Al and O was confirmed by the energy-filtered TEM analysis. Judging from the electron diffraction pattern and high-resolution TEM analysis, the crystal lattice of precipitates corresponds to some cubic modification of aluminium-rich oxide or pure aluminium oxide. The precipitate lattice alignment with the host matrix was revealed for at least a part of precipitates. The analysis of APT data using cluster detection algorithm indicates the presence of local zones enriched in Al and O, even in those areas of as-implanted samples where no clusters were visible by TEM. 相似文献

AbstractIn this work, we have studied on double-layered perovskite (Ruddlesden–Popper) manganite structure in Pr1.75Sr1.25Mn2O7 synthesised by sol–gel method. The crystal structure of the double-layered perovskite is found as tetragonal from the X-ray diffraction analysis with I4/mmm space group. A high Curie temperature, TC = 305 K is observed from the temperature dependence of magnetisation measurement. The isothermal magnetisation curves showed that magnetic phase transition is second order due to the positive slope of the Arrott plots. Maximum magnetic entropy change (ΔSM) and adiabatic temperature change (ΔTad) values are calculated as 3.99 J kg?1 K?1 and 2.1 K under external magnetic field of 70 kOe, respectively. Since our double-layered perovskite manganite sample has desired TC value and relatively high ΔSM, it can be a potential candidate as a magnetocaloric material for room temperature magnetic cooling systems. 相似文献

Resonance-line scattering in static low density media with large optical thickness has a diffusive behavior in both space and frequency because photons belonging to the Lorentzian wings of the line may be scattered almost monochromatically a very large number of times. This diffusive behavior holds on frequency scales and spatial scales, χc and τc, much larger than the scales associated with one elementary scattering of a wing-photon.A method developed for diffusion approximations in neutron transport theory, suitably generalized to handle diffusion in frequency space, is applied to the case of conservative scattering in a bounded medium with interior sources and zero incoming radiation. The method is to separate the line radiation field into an interior part and a boundary layer part which goes to zero in the interior. Each part is expanded in terms of a small parameter ?, which is the ratio of the mean free-path at frequency χc to the characteristic spatial scale τc.It is shown that the leading term in the interior asymptotic expansion is isotropic, zero on the boundary, and obeys a space and frequency diffusion equation. In the boundary-layer expansion, the leading term is of order ? and is a solution to a monochromatic transfer equation in a semi-infinite, plane-parallel medium. The emergent radiation field is shown to be of order ? and proportional to the gradient of the interior solution at the boundary. Its angular dependence, in the case of isotropic scattering in the atom frame, is given by the Ambartsoumian H-function. A comparison is presented between numerical solutions of the full transfer equation and asymptotic solutions. Non-conservative scattering and time-dependent problems are briefly discussed. 相似文献
