The set-up ‘energy plus transmutation’, consisting of a thick lead target and a natural uranium blanket, was irradiated by relativistic proton beams with the energy from 0.7 GeV up to 2 GeV. Neutron field was measured in different places of this set-up using different activation detectors. The possibilities of using the obtained data for benchmark studies are analyzed in this paper. Uncertainties of experimental data are shown and discussed. The experimental data are compared with results of simulation with MCNPX code.   相似文献

A plenty of different programming techniques and instrument solutions are used in the development of Mössbauer spectrometers. Each of them should provide a faster spectrum accumulation process, increased productivity of measurements, decreased nonlinearity of the velocity scale, etc. The well known virtual instrumentation programming method has been used to design a computer-based Mössbauer spectrometer. Hardware solution was based on two commercially-available PCI modules produced by National Instruments Co. Virtual Mössbauer spectrometer is implemented by the graphical programming language LabVIEW 7 Express. This design environment allows to emulate the multichannel analyzer on the digital oscilloscope platform. This is a novel method based on Waveform Peak Detection function which allows detailed analysis of the acquired signal. The optimal treatment of the detector signal from various detector types is achieved by mathematical processing only. As a result, the possibility of an increase of signal/noise ratio is presented.  相似文献

The concept of the Gibbs energy balance is used to derive the evolution equation of both surfaces of a hollow nanosphere. The process is driven by reducing the surface energy and the elastic energy stored in the bulk. A semianalytical solution is provided for the time period during which a hollow nanosphere shrinks to a compact nanospherical particle. This paper presents and briefly discusses recent observations of dynamics associated with isolated generalized bipolar transistor cells. A mathematical model of this simple system is considered on the highest level of abstraction such that it comprises many different network topologies. The key property of the analyzed structure is its bias point since the transistor is modeled via two-port admittance parameters. A necessary but not sufficient condition for the evolution of autonomous complex behavior is the nonlinear bilateral nature of the transistor with arbitrary reason that causes this effect. It is proved both by numerical analysis and experimental measurement that chaotic motion is miscellaneous, robust, and it is neither numerical artifact nor long transient motion.  相似文献

For the first time, domains with twisted structures have been established in planar samples of achiral compounds in tilted smectic C phase. This evidences separation of molecular conformers differing in the sense of axial chirality and confirms polar C(2) symmetry of these domains. A simple model considering polar surface anchoring energy and bulk energy of the twist can account for this finding. Conditions for coexistence of twisted and homogeneous domains are discussed.  相似文献

Proteolysis is a central component of most proteomics methods. Unfortunately much of the information relating to the structural diversity of proteins is lost during digestion. This paper describes a method in which the native proteome of yeast was subjected to preliminary fractionation by size exclusion chromatography (SEC) prior to trypsin digestion of SEC fractions and reversed phase chromatography-mass spectral analysis to identify tryptic peptides thus generated. Through this approach proteins associated with other proteins in high molecular mass complexes were recognized and identified. A focus of this work was on the identification of Hub proteins that associate with multiple interaction partners. A critical component of this strategy is to choose methods and conditions that maximize retention of native structure during the various stages of analysis prior to proteolysis, especially during cell lysis. Maximum survival of protein complexes during lysis was obtained with the French press and bead-beater methods of cell disruption at approximately pH 8 with 200 mM NaCl in the lysis buffer. Structure retention was favored by higher ionic strength, suggesting that hydrophobic effects are important in maintaining the structure of protein complexes. Recovery of protein complexes declined substantially with storage at any temperature, but storage at -20°C was best when low temperature storage was necessary. Slightly lower recovery was obtained with storage at -80°C while lowest recovery was achieved at 4°C. It was concluded that initial fractionation of native proteins in cell lysates by SEC prior to RPC-MS/MS of tryptic digests can be used to recognize and identify proteins in complexes along with their interaction partners in known protein complexes.  相似文献

The design and principles of potentiometric and voltammetric electronic tongues are discussed together with applications in food and environmental analysis. Different approaches towards bioelectronic tongue are presented. Several methods for evaluation and interpretation of the measured data are described. Differential scanning calorimetry and dc conductivity measurements were used to study structural relaxation of Se70Te30 glass. A single set of Tool-Narayanaswamy-Moynihan (TNM) parameters was obtained from the curve-fitting procedure. The value of apparent activation energy Δh∗ was further confirmed by two non-fitting techniques. Results of the Δh∗ evaluation from the Tg dependence on cooling rate are discussed in terms of how the Tf determination might be influenced by the material’s structure type and by the interference of the crystallization process.  相似文献
