Multilayer films consisting of polyethylenimine (PEI) and albumin were successfully prepared on biomedical 316L stainless steel surface via electrostatic self-assembly of the PEI and albumin. The process of electrostatic self-assembly of PEI/albumin was monitored by125I radiolabeling, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). The EIS data revealed that the multilayer coating was stable in Tris-HCl (pH 7.35) buffer solution for 21 days. 125I radiolabeling experiments indicated that less than 10% albumin was eluted by PBS in 45 days. Static platelet adhesion experiments indicated that the PEI/albumin deposited on stainless steel could resist platelet adhesion effectively. Such an easy processing and shape-independent method may have good potential for surface modification of cardiovascular devices.  相似文献

The anionic bis(pyrazolyl)(thioimidazolyl)borate ligands BpMt(R) with R = tert-butyl and isopropyl were obtained as their potassium salts by reacting potassium tris(pyrazolyl)borate with the corresponding thioimidazoles in the melt at 150 degrees C. They were applied to form some tetrahedral zinc complexes and identified by the crystal structures of (BpMt(t-Bu))ZnCl and (BpMt(i-Pr))Zn-SC(6)H(4)-p-Cl.  相似文献

The universal variation pattern of the total energy of various fullerenes including single-walled carbon nanotubes with respect to their extra charge is revealed by the density-functional-theory calculations. The parabolic energy-charge curve with its lowest energy value corresponding to a negatively charged fullerene indicates that these carbon materials have positive electron affinity and are not in the most stable state. The positive electron affinity seems to originate from the pi-electrons and is found to be related to the aggregation property of fullerenes.  相似文献

G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) play a key role in different biological processes, such as regulation of growth, death and metabolism of cells. They are major therapeutic targets of numerous prescribed drugs. However, the ligand specificity of many receptors is unknown and there is little structural information available. Bioinformatics may offer one approach to bridge the gap between sequence data and functional knowledge of a receptor. In this paper, we use a bagging classification tree algorithm to predict the type of the receptor based on its amino acid composition. The prediction is performed for GPCR at the sub-family and sub-sub-family level. In a cross-validation test, we achieved an overall predictive accuracy of 91.1% for GPCR sub-family classification, and 82.4% for sub-sub-family classification. These results demonstrate the applicability of this relative simple method and its potential for improving prediction accuracy.  相似文献

Summary. A new numerical algorithm for solving semilinear elliptic problems is presented. A variational formulation is used and critical points of a C1-functional subject to a constraint given by a level set of another C1-functional (or an intersection of such level sets of finitely many functionals) are sought. First, constrained local minima are looked for, then constrained mountain pass points. The approach is based on the deformation lemma and the mountain pass theorem in a constrained setting. In the large momentum transfer limit, generalized parton distributions can be calculated through a QCD factorization theorem which involves perturbatively calculable hard kernels and light-cone parton distribution amplitudes of hadrons. We illustrate this through the H(q)(x,xi,t) distribution for the pion and the proton, presenting the hard kernels at leading order. As a result, experimental data on the generalized parton distributions in this regime can be used to determine the functional form of the parton distribution amplitudes which has thus far been quite challenging to obtain. Our result can also be used as a constraint in phenomenological generalized parton distribution parametrizations.  相似文献

We present what is to our knowledge a new approach to generating tunable blue light by cascaded nonlinear frequency conversion in a single LiTaO3 crystal. Simultaneous quasi-phase matching of an optical parametric generation process and a sum-frequency mixing process is achieved by means of structuring the crystal with a quasi-periodic optical superlattice. The spectral (wavelength tuning and bandwidth) and power characteristics of the blue-light generation are studied with a fixed-wavelength 532-nm picosecond laser and a wavelength-tunable nanosecond optical parametric oscillator (OPO) as the pump sources. By tuning the OPO wavelength, we could tune the blue output over approximately 20 nm. Temperature tuning of the blue output at a fixed pump wavelength of 532 nm was limited to approximately 1.5 nm. A maximum blue power of 15 microW was generated at a pump power of 0.5 mW, corresponding to an efficiency of 3%.  相似文献

Evidence for a current-induced spin-transfer torque effect has been investigated in a series of point contacts to single ferromagnetic layers. At specific current densities, abrupt resistance changes, similar to those attributed to current-induced spin-wave excitations in multilayers, have been observed for one current polarity. The critical current for these resistance changes depends linearly on the external field applied perpendicular to the layer. The observed effect is interpreted as a current-driven heterogeneous instability in an otherwise uniform ferromagnetic layer.  相似文献
