应用双面电极的PLZT横向电光调制器电场的精确解

使用保角变换方法导出了横向电光调制器中双面电极结构的电场和电容的解析表达式，给出了用于ＰＬＺＴ电光陶瓷介质中二次电光效应分析的电场分布的物理图像。通过计算对比表明，双面电极结构电极边级区域由于过剩双折射引起的强度调制非均匀性较单面电极有所改善。     

Employing dual-saturable-absorber-based filter for stable and tunable erbium-doped fiber ring laser in single-frequency

In this demonstration, a stable and wavelength-tunable erbium-doped fiber (EDF) ring laser using dual-saturable-absorber-based (DSAB) filter inside loop cavity is proposed and experimentally investigated. The proposed DSAB filter not only can filter the side-mode in single-frequency output, but also can obtain the flattened output power spectrum within 1 dB variation in the effectively range of 1529 to 1563 nm. In addition, the output stabilities of wavelength and power are also measured experimentally and discussed.     

Structural and mechanical properties of multi-element (TiVCrZrHf)N coatings by reactive magnetron sputtering

In this study, (TiVCrZrHf)N multi-component coatings with quinary metallic elements were deposited by reactive magnetron sputtering system. The composition, structure, and mechanical properties of the coatings deposited at different N₂ flow rates were investigated. The (TiVCrZrHf)N coatings deposited at N₂ flow rates of 0, 1, and 2 SCCM showed an amorphous structure, whereas those deposited at N₂ flow rates of 4 and 6 SCCM showed a simple face-centered cubic solid solution structure. A saturated nitride coating was obtained for N₂ flow of 4 SCCM and higher. By increasing N₂ flow to 4 SCCM, the hardness and modulus reached a maximum value of 23.8 ± 0.8 and 267.3 ± 4.0 GPa, respectively.     

Strain-induced pseudo-magnetic fields and charging effects on CVD-grown graphene

Atomically resolved imaging and spectroscopic characteristics of graphene grown by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) on copper are investigated by means of scanning tunneling microscopy and spectroscopy (STM/STS). For CVD-grown graphene remaining on the copper substrate, the monolayer carbon structures exhibit ripples and appear strongly strained, with different regions exhibiting different lattice structures and electronic density of states (DOS). In particular, ridges appear along the boundaries of different lattice structures, which exhibit excess charging effects. Additionally, the large and non-uniform strain induces pseudo-magnetic field up to ~ 50 T, as manifested by the DOS peaks at quantized energies that correspond to pseudo-magnetic field-induced integer and fractional Landau levels. In contrast, for graphene transferred from copper to SiO₂ substrates after the CVD growth, the average strain on the whole diminishes, so do the corresponding charging effects and pseudo-magnetic fields except for sample areas near topological defects. These findings suggest feasible nano-scale “strain engineering” of the electronic states of graphene by proper design of the substrates and growth conditions.     

Magneto resistance due to domain wall scattering and magneto size effect of thin Ni and Co films at low temperatures

Nickel and cobalt films illustrate alternative Bloch lines with cap switches. The strip magnetic domains become zigzag and bubbling cells for Ni and Co films, respectively, under an external field of 1.5 T. The magnetoresistances (MR) for currents parallel (CIW) to the domain walls is 15% less than those of the perpendicular (CPW) case. We also studied the magneto size effect by applying the magnetic field normal to the surface, from which the Sondheimer oscillation appears attributing to periodic striking of the surface for electrons traveling in circular motion on a plane canting to the surface. The experiments can be expressed by the magneto size effect inherited with very small specularity parameters.     

Ising model with mixed boundary conditions: Universal amplitude ratios

In the vicinity of boundaries the bulk universality class of critical phenomena splits into several boundary universality classes, depending upon whether the tendency to order in the boundary is smaller or larger than in the bulk. For Ising universality class there are five different boundary universality classes: periodic, antiperiodic, free, fixed and mixed (mixture of the last two). In this paper we present the new set of the universal amplitude ratios for the mixed boundary universality class. The results are in perfect agreement with a perturbated conformal field theory scenario proposed by Cardy [J. Cardy, Nucl. Phys. B 270 (1986) 186].     

Synthesis of Biomorphic ZrO2-CeO2 Nanostructures by Silkworm Silk Template

以桑蚕丝为模板制备多级生物形态结构ZrO₂-CeO₂. 整个合成过程是由桑蚕丝模板的导向作用决定的. 分析结果表明ZrO₂-CeO₂结晶良好,呈多级网络中空纤维结构,直径为16～28μm,800 oC煅烧后ZrO₂-CeO₂晶粒尺寸约为14 nm.

Correspondence between the classical and quantum canonical transformation groups from an operator formulation of the wigner function

An explicit expression of the Wigner operator is derived, such that the Wigner function of a quantum state is equal to the expectation value of this operator with respect to the same state. This Wigner operator leads to a representation-independent procedure for establishing the correspondence between the inhomogeneous symplectic group applicable to linear canonical transformations in classical mechanics and the Weyl-metaplectic group governing the symmetry of unitary transformations in quantum mechanics.
