In an effort to design efficient low‐cost polymers for use in organic photovoltaic cells the easily prepared donor–acceptor–donor triad of a either cis‐benzobisoxazole, trans‐benzobisoxazole or trans‐benzobisthiazole flanked by two thiophene rings was combined with the electron‐rich 4,8‐bis(5‐(2‐ethylhexyl)‐thien‐2‐yl)‐benzo[1,2‐b:4,5‐b′]dithiophene. The electrochemical, optical, morphological, charge transport, and photovoltaic properties of the resulting terpolymers were investigated. Although the polymers differed in the arrangement and/or nature of the chalcogens, they all had similar highest occupied molecular orbital energy levels (?5.2 to ?5.3 eV) and optical band gaps (2.1–2.2 eV). However, the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital energy levels ranged from ?3.1 to ?3.5 eV. When the polymers were used as electron donors in bulk heterojunction photovoltaic devices with PC71BM ([6,6]‐phenyl C71‐butyric acid methyl ester) as the acceptor, the trans‐benzobisoxazole polymer had the best performance with a power conversion efficiency of 2.8%. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A series of vinylene‐linked copolymers based on electron‐deficient benzobisthiazole and electron‐rich fluorene moieties were synthesized via Horner–Wadsworth–Emmons polymerization. Three different polymers P1 , P2 , and P3 , were prepared bearing octyl, 3,7‐dimethyloctyl, and 2‐(2‐ethoxy)ethoxyethyl side chains, respectively. The polymers all possessed moderate molecular weights, good solubility in aprotic organic solvents, and high fluorescence quantum efficiencies in dilute solutions. P2 , which bore branched 3,7‐dimethyloctyl side chains, exhibited better solubility than the other polymers, but also exhibited the lowest thermal decomposition temperature of all polymers. Overall, the impact of the side chains on the polymers optical properties in solution was negligible as all three polymers gave similar absorption and emission spectra in both solution and film. Guest‐host light‐emitting diodes using dilute blends of the polymers in a poly(N‐vinylcarbazole) host gave blue‐green emission with P2 exhibiting the highest luminous efficiency, 0.61 Cd/A at ~500 nm. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Room-temperature, high-pressure (1–30 atm) measurements of CO2 absorption are carried out near 2.7 μm to study line mixing and finite duration collision effects on transitions in the ν1+ν3 and 2ν2+ν3 vibrational bands. Two distributed feedback diode lasers are used to measure CO2 transitions near 3631–3635 cm?1 and 3644–3646 cm?1, and an FTIR spectrometer covers the entire ν1+ν3 and 2ν2+ν3 bands from 3500 to 3800 cm?1. The experiments are carried out in CO2–air and CO2–Ar mixtures to observe the non-ideal effects under the influence of different perturbers. Measurements are compared with simulations using the Voigt line shape to analyze the deviation from the Lorentzian behavior with increasing gas density, and show significant deviation from this model at high gas densities. Line shape models using empirical corrections or dynamically based scaling laws are evaluated by comparison to the measured high-density spectra. Although none of the models is able to predict the measured spectra accurately, the line mixing model of Niro et al. [24] does an overall good job but overestimates the band centers by about 4–9%. In light of these observations, challenges of developing a CO2 sensor for high-pressure combustion applications are discussed.  相似文献

The 12 best NIR water transition line pairs for temperature measurements with a single DFB laser in flames are determined by systematic analysis of the HITRAN simulation of the water spectra in the 1–2 μm spectral region. A specific line pair near 1.4 μm was targeted for non-intrusive measurements of gas temperature in combustion systems using a scanned-wavelength technique with wavelength modulation and 2f detection. This sensor uses a single diode laser (distributed-feedback), operating near 1.4 μm and is wavelength scanned over a pair of H2O absorption transitions (7154.354 cm-1 & 7153.748 cm-1) at a 2 kHz repetition rate. The wavelength is modulated (f=500 kHz) with modulation amplitude a=0.056 cm-1. Gas temperature is inferred from the ratio of the second harmonic signals of the two selected H2O transitions. The fiber-coupled-single-laser design makes the system compact, rugged, low cost and simple to assemble. As part of the sensor development effort, design rules were applied to optimize the line selection, and fundamental spectroscopic parameters of the selected transitions were determined via laboratory measurements including the temperature-dependent line strength, self-broadening coefficients, and air-broadening coefficients. The new sensor design includes considerations of hardware and software to enable fast data acquisition and analysis; a temperature readout rate of 2 kHz was demonstrated for measurements in a laboratory flame at atmospheric pressure. The combination of scanned-wavelength and wavelength-modulation minimizes interference from emission and beam steering, resulting in a robust temperature sensor that is promising for combustion control applications.PACS 42.62.Fi; 42.55.Px; 42.60.Fc; 39.30+w  相似文献

The study of separating invariants is a recent trend in invariant theory. For a finite group acting linearly on a vector space, a separating set is a set of invariants whose elements separate the orbits of G. In some ways, separating sets often exhibit better behavior than generating sets for the ring of invariants. We investigate the least possible cardinality of a separating set for a given G-action. Our main result is a lower bound that generalizes the classical result of Serre that if the ring of invariants is polynomial then the group action must be generated by pseudoreflections. We find these bounds to be sharp in a wide range of examples.  相似文献

Planar laser-induced fluorescence (PLIF) images of NO concentration are reported in premixed laminar flames from 1–60 bar exciting the A-X(0,0) band. The influence of O2 interference and gas composition, the variation with local temperature, and the effect of laser and signal attenuation by UV light absorption are investigated. Despite choosing a NO excitation and detection scheme with minimum O2-LIF contribution, this interference produces errors of up to 25% in a slightly lean 60 bar flame. The overall dependence of the inferred NO number density with temperature in the relevant (1200–2500 K) range is low (<±15%) because different effects cancel. The attenuation of laser and signal light by combustion products CO2 and H2O is frequently neglected, yet such absorption yields errors of up to 40% in our experiment despite the small scale (8 mm flame diameter). Understanding the dynamic range for each of these corrections provides guidance to minimize errors in single shot imaging experiments at high pressure.
