A new process to control the distribution of metal nanoparticles is proposed. It involves the use of complexing microcapsules obtained by interfacial polycondensation. The latter are hollow spheres constituted of a polymer membrane, containing an insoluble active ingredient, such as a polyacrylic acid, which can complex Co2+ ions. These capsules are dispersed in a silica sol followed by thermal treatments and reduction under H2 which results in metallic Co nanoparticles confined in the capsules domains. The particles do not diffuse in the matrix.  相似文献

Cytochrome c (cyt c) is an electron-transfer heme protein that also binds nitric oxide (NO). In resting cyt c, two endogenous ligands of the heme iron are histidine-18 (His) and methionine-80 (Met) side chains, and NO binding requires the cleavage of one of the axial bonds. Previous femtosecond transient absorption studies suggested the photolysis of either Fe-His or Fe-Met bonds. We aimed at unequivocally identifying the internal side chain that is photodissociated in ferrous cyt c and at monitoring heme structural dynamics, by means of time-resolved resonance Raman (TR3) spectroscopy with approximately 0.6 ps time resolution. The Fe-His stretching mode at 216 cm-1 has been observed in photoproduct TR3 spectra for the first time for a c-type heme. The same transient mode was observed for a model ferrous cyt c N-fragment (residues 1-56) ligated with two His in the resting state. Our TR3 data reveal that upon ferrous cyt c photoexcitation, (i) distal Met side chain is instantly released, producing a five-coordinated domed heme structure, (ii) proximal His side chain, coupled to the heme, exhibits distortion due to strain exerted by the protein, and (iii) alteration in heme-cysteine coupling takes place along with the relaxation of the protein-induced deformations of the heme macrocycle.  相似文献

New tripodal gem-(bis-phosphonates) uranophiles were discovered by a screening method that allowed for the selection of ligands with strong uranyl-binding properties in a convenient microtiter-plate format. The method is based on competitive uranium binding by using Sulfochlorophenol S as chromogenic chelate. This dye compound was found to present high uranyl complexation properties and allowed to highlight ligands presenting association constants for UO(2+)(2) up to 10(18) at pH 7.4 and 10(20) at pH 9. A collection of 40 known ligands including polycarboxylate, hydroxamate, catecholate, hydroxypyridonate and hydroxyquinoline derivatives was tested. Also screened was a combinatorial library prepared from seven amine scaffolds and eight acrylates bearing diverse chelating moieties. Among these 96 tested candidates, a tripod derivative bearing gem-bis-phosphonates moieties was found to present the highest complexation properties over a wide range of pH and was further studied.  相似文献

A joint theoretical-experimental investigation has been carried out to unravel the details of the complexation of cations by fluoroionophores based on coumarin 343 and to interpret the modifications in the ligand and also in the coumarin structural, electronic, magnetic, and vibrational properties. It is confirmed that C343-dea (1) complexes the cations by both the lactone and the amide oxygen atoms whereas for C343-crown (2) and C343-dibenzocrown (3), the cations are complexed by the oxygen atoms of the lactone as well as those of the crown ligand. These complexations induce geometric modifications, which are delocalized over the coumarin backbone and are related to electronic reorganizations that modify the spectroscopic signatures. This paper analyzes these signatures and shows how they are related as well as how they can be used to monitor the complexation process. Upon complexation, the UV-visible absorption spectra display a bathochromic shift of the most intense electronic transition; this shift is generally larger for the most flexible compound 1 as well as when complexing divalent cations. NMR spectra bear many signatures of the complexation, of which the most remarkable ones are the large shielding of C(1) and the large deshieldings of C(9) and C(16). Additional makers of complexation are highlighted in the IR vibrational spectra, in particular the bands associated with the lactone and amide CO vibrations, which are downshifted when the corresponding CO is involved in the complexation mode and, otherwise, upshifted. A high degree of consistency characterizes the different geometrical, electronic, magnetic, and vibrational signatures, which substantiates the assignment of the modes of complexation in 1-3. In addition, the agreement between the experimental data and the theoretical values is rather satisfactory, in that it at least enables us to interpret the spectral signatures.  相似文献

The ground state, oxidized ground state, (3)MLCT and (3)MC excited states have been studied by DFT and TDDFT for two Ru(II) complexes bearing an N(6) or N(5)C coordination sphere. The effect of replacing one Ru-N dative bond by one Ru-C covalent bond have been studied and quantified on their ground state by the means of geometry optimization, NBO analysis and calculation of their IR vibrations. IR fingerprints of the Ru-C bond have been found at 945 and 1113 cm(-1). In addition, this study confirmed and quantified the effects of N→C(-) substitution on the spectroscopic properties of the [RuN(5)C](+) complex: a broader and bathochromically-shifted absorption spectrum, a smaller ground-(3)MLCT energy gap and a highly energetic (3)MC state are the major characteristics of the carbon-containing monocationic complex.  相似文献

Differentiation therapy could be one strategy for stopping cancer cell proliferation. A plant steroid, diosgenin, is known to induce megakaryocytic differentiation in human erythroleukemia (HEL) cells. In recent studies, the use of sedimentation field-flow fractionation (SdFFF) allowed the preparation of subpopulations that may differ in regard to sensitivity to differentiation induction. The specific goal of this study was to determine the relationship between cell cycle stage and sensitivity to megakaryocytic differentiation induction of HEL cells. After first confirming the capacity of diosgenin to specifically select targets, hyperlayer SdFFF cell sorting was used to prepare fractions according to cell cycle position from crude HEL cells. The sensitivities of these fractions to diosgenin-induced differentiation were then tested. The coupling of SdFFF cell separation to imaging flow cytometry showed that G1-phase cells were more sensitive to differentiation induction than S/G2M-phase cells, confirming the relationship between cell status at the start of induction, the extent of the biological event, and the potential of SdFFF in cancer research.  相似文献

The 3'-N-sulfamate analogue of thymidylyl(3'-5')thymidine (TnsoT, 1) exhibits a preference for a C3'-endo conformation in the solution and solid states. Its photochemical behavior in solution is compared to that of its natural counterpart, thymidylyl(3'-5')thymidine (TpT, 2), to get further insight into the significance of the C3'-endo conformation on the photoproduct formation at the single-stranded dinucleotide level. Irradiation at 254 nm of 1 led to the same type of photoproducts as observed with 2. However, 1 was significantly more photoreactive than 2, and accordingly, the initial rate of photoproduct formation was enhanced in accordance with its propensity to base stack compared to 2. The corresponding quantum yields were determined and showed that the enhancement factor (1 compared to 2) is moderate for the cyclobutane pyrimidine dimer (CPD) (1.26) and much higher for the (6-4) photoproduct (1.8). These data strongly suggest that the CPD and (6-4) photoproduct arise from distinct minor stacked conformations.  相似文献

The nonlinear dielectric response due to the application of a strong dc bias electric field superimposed on a weak ac electric field is considered in the context of the anomalous diffusion (subdiffusion). A perturbation procedure is used to derive analytical expressions for the first three harmonic components of the electric polarization of an assembly of both polar and anisotropically polarizable symmetric-top molecules. To accomplish that, an infinite hierarchy of multiterm (21) differential-recurrence equations of noninteger order for the moments is established and solved for the stationary regime. The results so obtained are illustrated in the form of Argand diagrams and three-dimensional relaxation spectra for the complex nonlinear dielectric increment extracted from the first harmonic component of the electric susceptibility. These plots show the role and importance played by the fractional exponent and the parameter P measuring the influence of the dipole moment over the permanent one.  相似文献
