Sturm's chain technique for evaluation of a number of real roots of polynomials is applied to construct a simple algorithm for global optimization of polynomials or generally for rational functions of finite global minimal value. The method can be applied both to find the global minimum in an interval or without any constraints. It is shown how to use the method to minimize globally a truncated Fourier series. The results of numerical tests are presented and discussed. The cost of the method scales as the square of the degree of the polynomial.  相似文献

Summary It is shown how a self-organizing neural network such as the one introduced by Kohonen can be used to analyze features of molecular surfaces, such as shape and the molecular electrostatic potential. On the one hand, two-dimensional maps of molecular surface properties can be generated and used for the comparison of a set of molecules. On the other hand, the surface geometry of one molecule can be stored in a network and this network can be used as a template for the analysis of the shape of various other molecules. The application of these techniques to a series of steroids exhibiting a range of binding activities to the corticosteroid-binding globulin receptor allows one to pinpoint the essential features necessary for biological activity.  相似文献

Compounds of general formula Au{SSi(OR)3}(PPh3), R = Pri ( 1 ), Bus ( 2 ) or But ( 3 ), have been obtained by reaction of AuCl(PPh3) with triethylammonium salts of respective silanethiols, (RO)3SiSH. Molecular and crystal structures of 1 , 2 , and 3 have been determined by the single crystal X‐ray structural analysis. Compounds 1 and 2 are the first structurally characterized metal derivatives of hydrolytically unstable trialkoxysilanethiols (PriO)3SiSH and (BusO)3SiSH.  相似文献

The synthesis of new 1,4‐phenylene‐bis‐(N‐alkylaminomethane)‐bis‐phosphonates 3Aa–3Da by the addition of dialkyl or diaryl phosphites to the azomethine bond of 1,4‐phenylene Schiff bases is reported. Some NMR studies on the stereochemistry of dialkyl phosphite addition to terephthalic bis‐imines showing the exclusive formation of the meso‐form are presented. Medemia argun is an ancient palm rich in proanthocyanidins (PACs). These polyphenolic compounds are widely distributed in plants and are an integral part of the human diet. A sensitive high‐performance liquid chromatography and electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (HPLC–ESI–MS) method in the negative ion mode for sequencing these ubiquitous and highly beneficial antioxidants is described in order to profile different PACs in M. argun nuts. The analytical protocol based on tandem mass spectrometry was used to sequence dimers, trimers, tetramers and pentamers with different A‐type, B‐type and A/B‐type linkages. Diagnostic ions resulting from heterocyclic ring fission and retro‐Diels–Alder reaction of flavan‐3‐ol provided information on the hydroxylation pattern and the type of interflavan bond. The sequences were discovered through ions derived from quinone methide cleavage of the interflavan bond. The identification of PACs linkages through LC–MSn eliminates a number of tedious separation steps. The method was successfully applied to give a view of PAC profile in M. argun nuts. M. argun nuts contained 636.88 mg/g PACs (as equivalent of (þ)‐catechin). The data obtained in our research show that M. argun is a rich source of hydrolyzable PACs. The unsymmetrical distribution of the unpaired electron in the ground state of the DBTTFI(?-) radical anion (bi(6-n-butyl-5,7-dioxo-6,7-dihydro-5H-[1,3]dithiolo[4,5-f]isoindole-2-ylidene) is theoretically predicted using the M06-2X/6-31+G(d,p) level of calculations. The results are additionally confirmed by single point calculations at B3LYP/aug-cc-pVTZ, LC-ωPBE/aug-cc-pVTZ, and M06-2X/aug-cc-pVTZ levels. DBTTFI, containing the TTF (tetrathiafulvalene) fragment, may be used in the construction of organic microelectronic devices, similarly to the radical anion of QTTFQ. The unsymmetrical distribution of spin density in (QTTFQ)(?-) has been confirmed using M06-2X/aug-cc-pVTZ calculations, with subsequent study using topological analysis of electron localization function (ELF). The reorganization of the chemical bonds during intramolecular electron transfer in (QTTFQ)(?-) and (DBTTFI)(?-) has been analyzed using bonding evolution theory (BET). The reaction path has been simulated by the IRC procedure, and the evolution of valence basins has been described using catastrophe theory. The simple mechanisms: (QTTFQ)(?-): η-1-3-CC(+)-0: (-?)(QTTFQ) and (DBTTFI)(?-): η-1-3-[F](4)[F(+)](4)-0: (-?)(DBTTFI), each consisting of three steps, have been observed. Two cusp or 4-fold catastrophes occur immediately after the TS. Our study shows that potential future microelectronic devices, constructed on the basis of the (QTTFQ)(?-) and (DBTTFI)(?-) systems, should exploit the properties of the C═C bond.  相似文献

Novel cellulose fibres (Biocelsol) were spun by traditional wet spinning technique from the alkaline solution prepared by dissolving enzyme treated pulp directly into aqueous sodium zincate (ZnO/NaOH). The spinning dope contained 6 wt.% of cellulose, 7.8 wt.% of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and 0.84 wt.% of zinc oxide (ZnO). The fibres were spun into 5% and 15% sulphuric acid (H2SO4) baths containing 10% sodium sulphate (Na2SO4). The highest fibre tenacity obtained was 1.8 cNdtex−1 with elongation of 15% and titre of 1.4 dtex. Average molecular weights and shape of molecular weight distribution curves of the celluloses from the novel wet spun cellulosic fibre and from the commercial viscose fibre were close to each other.  相似文献

Methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) is commonly used as chemical additive to increase oxygen content and octane rating of reformulated gasoline. Despite its impact on enhancing cleaner combustion of gasoline, MTBE poses a threat to surface and ground water when gasoline is released into the environment. Methods for onsite analysis of MTBE in water samples are also needed. A less common technique for MTBE detection from water is ion mobility spectrometry (IMS). We describe a method for fast sampling and screening of MTBE from water by solid phase microextraction (SPME) and IMS. MTBE is adsorbed from the head space of a sample to the coating of SPME fiber. The interface containing a heated sample chamber, which couples SPME and IMS, was constructed and the SPME fiber was introduced into the sample chamber for thermal desorption and IMS detection of MTBE vapors. The demonstrated SPME-IMS method proved to be a straightforward method for the detection of trace quantities of MTBE from waters including surface and ground water. We determined the relative standard deviation of 8.3% and detection limit of 5 mg L−1 for MTBE. Because of short sampling, desorption, and detection times, the described configuration of combined SPME and IMS is a feasible method for the detection of hazardous substances from environmental matrices.  相似文献

Systemin (Sys) is an 18‐aa plant peptide hormone involved in the regulation of plant's defensive response. Sys is considered as a fast‐spreading systemic wound signal. We developed a simple and rapid CE method to monitor the spreading of Sys peptides through tomato plant. A 1,2,3‐triazole‐linked AZT‐systemin conjugate was designed as a model to study the possibility of translocating small cargo molecules 3'‐Azido‐2',3'‐dideoxythymidine by systemin. The Sys peptides (Sys, N‐propiolyl Sys, and AZT‐systemin conjugate) were injected into the stem and leaves of mature tomato plant. Its transportation throughout the plant tissue was traced by CE. The peptides were clearly visible in the crude tomato exudates and an optimum separation was achieved in 25 mM phosphate “buffer” at pH 2.5 and a voltage of 20 kV using uncoated fused silica capillary. CE analysis showed that Sys peptides are well separated from tomato plant exudates ingredients and are stable in tomato stem and leaf exudates for up to 24 h. CE study revealed that the Sys peptides are effectively spreading throughout tomato stem and leaves and the peptides could be directly detected in the crude plant matrixes. The translocation was strongly inhibited by sodium azide. The results showed that the established CE method can be used to characterize plant peptides spreading under plant physiological conditions.  相似文献
