A theorem is proven that the only possible exterior solution for a pseudostationary, rotating, electrovacuum black hole with nondegenerate event horizon is the Kerr-Newman solution withM 2-J2/M2-Q2>0. Physical aspects of an operation of the GaAs-based InGaAs/GaAs quantum-well (QW) VCSELs with the intentionally detuned optical cavities have been considered in the present paper using the comprehensive three-dimensional self-consistent optical–electrical–thermal-gain simulation. In GaAs-based structures, very good DBR resonator mirrors and a very efficient methods to confine radially both the current spreading and the electromagnetic field with the aid of oxide apertures may be applied. It has been found using the above simulation that even currently available immature technology enables manufacturing the above devices emitting radiation of wavelengths over 1.20 μm. In particular, while the room-temperature 1.30-μm lasing emission is still beyond possibilities of the InGaAs/GaAs QW VCSELs, these structures may offer analogous 1.25-μm emission, especially for the high-power and/or high-temperature operation.  相似文献

We study the Friedmann-Robertson-Walker model with dynamical dark energy modelled in terms of the equation of state p X = w X (a(z)) ρ X in which the coefficient w X is parameterized by the scale factor a or redshift z. We use methods of qualitative analysis of differential equations to investigate the space of all admissible solutions for all initial conditions on the two-dimensional phase plane. We show advantages of representing this dynamics as a motion of a particle in the one-dimensional potential V(a). One of the features of this reduction is the possibility of investigating how typical big rip singularities are in the future evolution of the model. The properties of potential function V can serve as a tool for qualitative classification of all evolution paths. Some important features like resolution of the acceleration problem can be simply visualized as domains on the phase plane. Then one is able to see how large is the class of solutions (labelled by the inset of the initial conditions) leading to the desired property.  相似文献

We study the dynamics of the vacuum Bianchi IX model with timelike singularity and compare it with the dynamics of the Bianchi IX model with cosmological singularity. We show that differences in the signs of some terms in the set of equations specifying the dynamics of both spacetimes lead to significant differences in their properties.  相似文献

For the first time, detailed decay-spectroscopic investigations were performed for the very neutron-deficientN=50 nuclide98Cd. The98Cd activity was produced in spallation reactions between 600 MeV protons and a natural tin target, yielding a98Cd beam intensity of 10 to 60 atoms/s at the collector of the ISOLDE massseparator. By means of-ray and conversion-electron spectroscopy, 19 transitions were found to follow the +/EC decay98Cd98Ag. The transitions at 61 and 107 keV were shown to beM1(+E2) andE2, respectively, and the98Cd half-life was measured as 9.2±0.3 s. TheQ EC value of98Cd is determined semiempirically and is compared to model predictions together with the measuredQ EC values of the neighbouring cadmium isotopes100,102Cd and theN=50 isotones92Mo,94Ru, and96Pd, taken from the literature. The newly established decay scheme of98Cd includes 9 excited states of98Ag. Four states at 1691, 1861, 2164, and 2544 keV are directly fed by 0+ 1+ Gamow-Teller beta transitions with a summed strength of 3.5 –0.7 +0.8 . This value corresponds to 25±5% of the strength predicted for the GT transformation of a g9/2 proton (in98Cd) into a g7/2 neutron (in98Ag) by the extreme single-particle shell model. The GT-strength splitting and quenching, observed for98Cd, are compared with the corresponding data for lighter even-even N=50 isotones, and are discussed with reference to the predictions of more sophisticated nuclear models. We find that only in some cases it is possible to explain qualitatively the observed GT strength distribution and its total magnitude without renormalizing the free-neutron value of the axial-vector coupling constant.Dedicated to Prof. P. Faddeev calculations using the chiral three-nucleon force in next-to-next-to-next-to-leading-order show that this force is too weak to provide an explanation for the low-energy A y puzzle. The large discrepancy between data and theory for the neutron–neutron quasi-free-scattering cross section in low energy neutron–deuteron breakup requires a modification of the ${^{1}S_0}$ neutron–neutron force. We discuss the consequences that a bound ${^{1}S_0}$ state of two neutrons has on neutron–deuteron scattering observables. At higher energies we compare the solutions of the non-relativistic three-nucleon Faddeev equations with three-nucleon force included to the solutions of its Poincaré invariant version.  相似文献
