A fast mesh deformation method using explicit interpolation 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
A novel mesh deformation algorithm for unstructured polyhedral meshes is developed utilizing a tree-code optimization of a simple direct interpolation method. The algorithm is shown to provide mesh quality that is competitive with radial basis function based methods, with markedly better performance in preserving boundary layer orthogonality in viscous meshes. The parallelization of the algorithm is described, and the algorithm cost is demonstrated to be O(n log n). The parallel implementation was used to deform meshes of 100 million nodes on nearly 200 processors demonstrating that the method scales to large mesh sizes. Results are provided for a simulation of a high Reynolds number fluid–structure interaction case using this technique. 相似文献

Low-temperature property investigation of the lead indium-niobate-lead nickel-niobate solid solution

The complex perovskite solid solution (1−x) Pb(In1/2Nb1/2)O3-(x) Pb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3 has been successfully prepared by the Columbite precursor method. The temperature dependencies of the dielectric constant and pyroelectric coefficient were measured between −261 and 200 °C. Relaxor ferroelectric behavior has been noticed in all compositions across the solid solution. The room-temperature electrostrictive coefficient, Q33, was 1.83×10−2 C2/m4 for x=0.10. No room-temperature piezoelectric activity was detected; however, upon cooling to −261 °C the maximum coupling coefficients kp=29%, kt=11%, and k33=31% were observed for the composition x=1.00. 相似文献

The energy-dependence of charged particle mean multiplicity and pseudorapidity density at midrapidity measured in nucleus–nucleus
and (anti)proton–proton collisions are studied in the entire available energy range. The study is performed using a model,
which considers the multiparticle production process according to the dissipating energy of the participants and their types,
namely a combination of the constituent quark picture together with Landau relativistic hydrodynamics. The model reveals interrelations
between the variables under study measured in nucleus–nucleus and nucleon–nucleon collisions. Measurements in nuclear reactions
are shown to be well reproduced by the measurements in pp/[`(p)]p{\bar{\mathrm{p}}}{\mathrm{p}} interactions and the corresponding fits are presented. Different observations in other types of collisions are discussed

The problem of stimulated emission of photon excitations by external currents is studied inspacetime by making use of the concept of localized photon excitations in configuration space. An explicit expression is derived for the amplitude that an arbitrary number of photon excitations are produced and found in arbitrary localized regions in space when there are an arbitrary number of photon excitations prior to the switching on of the intervening current. Considered as an application is the reaction of a photon splitting to any number of photon excitations as the latter emerge spatially within a cone in the presence of a strong external electromagnetic current. The purpose of this work was to compare diagnostic accuracy of Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI), dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE MRI) and their combination in diagnosing prostate cancer. Twenty-five patients with clinical suspicion of prostate cancer underwent MRI, prior to transrectal ultrasound-guided biopsies. MRI data were correlated to biopsy results. Logistic regression models were constructed for the DTI parameters, DCE MRI parameters, and their combination. The areas under the receiver operator characteristic curves (AUC) were compared between the models. The nonparametric Wilcoxon signed rank test was used for statistical analysis. The sensitivity and specificity values were respectively 81% (74–87%) and 85% (79–90%) for DTI and 63% (55–70%) and 90% (85–94%) for DCE. The combination “DTI or DCE MRI” had 100% (97–100%) sensitivity and 77% (69–83%) specificity, while “DTI and DCE MRI” had 44% (37–52%) sensitivity and 98% (94–100%) specificity. The AUC for DTI+DCE parameters was significantly higher than that for either DTI (0.96 vs. 0.92, P=.0143) or DCE MRI parameters (0.96 vs. 0.87, P=.00187) alone. In conclusion, the combination of DTI and DCE MRI has significantly better accuracy in prostate cancer diagnosis than either technique alone. 相似文献

The idea of entropy was introduced in thermodynamics, but it can be used in time series analysis. There are various ways to define and measure the entropy of a system. Here the so called Theil index, which is often used in economy and finance, is applied as it were an entropy measure. In this study the time series are remapped through the Theil index. Then the linear correlation coefficient between the remapped time series is evaluated as a function of time and time window size and the corresponding statistical distance is defined. The results are compared with the the usual correlation distance measure for the time series themselves. As an example this entropy correlation distance method (ECDM) is applied to several series, as those of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in order to test some so called globalisation processes. Distance matrices are calculated in order to construct two network structures which are next analysed. The role of two different time scales introduced by the Theil index and a correlation coefficient is also discussed. The evolution of the mean distance between the most developed countries is presented and the globalisation periods of the prices discussed. It is finally shown that the evolution of mean distance between the most developed countries on several networks follows the process of introducing the European currency — the Euro. It is contrasted to the GDP based analysis. It is stressed that the entropy correlation distance measure is more suitable in detecting significant changes, like a globalisation process than the usual statistical (correlation based) measure. 相似文献

Temperature-dependent photoluminescence (PL) from Si nanodots with Al2O3 surface passivation layers was studied. The Si nanodots were grown by low pressure chemical vapor deposition and the Al2O3 thin films were prepared by atomic layer deposition (ALD), respectively. The BOE (Buffer-Oxide-Etch) treatment resulted in the damaged surface of Si nanodots and thus caused dramatic reduction in the PL intensity. Significant enhancement of the PL intensity from Si nanodots after the deposition of Al2O3 thin films was observed over a wide temperature range, indicating the remarkable surface passivation effect to suppress the non-radiative recombination at the surface of Si nanodots. The results demonstrated that the Al2O3 surface passivation layers grown by ALD are effectually applicable to nanostructured silicon devices. 相似文献

We introduce a Virtual Studio Technology (VST) 2 audio effect plugin that performs convolution reverb using synthetic Room Impulse Responses (RIRs) generated via a Genetic Algorithm (GA). The parameters of the plugin include some of those defined under the ISO 3382-1 standard (e.g., reverberation time, early decay time, and clarity), which are used to determine the fitness values of potential RIRs so that the user has some control over the shape of the resulting RIRs. In the GA, these RIRs are initially generated via a custom Gaussian noise method, and then evolve via truncation selection, random weighted average crossover, and mutation via Gaussian multiplication in order to produce RIRs that resemble real-world, recorded ones. Binaural Room Impulse Responses (BRIRs) can also be generated by assigning two different RIRs to the left and right stereo channels. With the proposed audio effect, new RIRs that represent virtual rooms, some of which may even be impossible to replicate in the physical world, can be generated and stored. Objective evaluation of the GA shows that contradictory combinations of parameter values will produce RIRs with low fitness. Additionally, through subjective evaluation, it was determined that RIRs generated by the GA were still perceptually distinguishable from similar real-world RIRs, but the perceptual differences were reduced when longer execution times were used for generating the RIRs or the unprocessed audio signals were comprised of only speech. 相似文献

The purpose of this work was to characterize the spray delivered by a modulated liquid fuel injector designed for active combustion control applications. A novel actuator is used to create a time-varying liquid fuel flow rate upstream of a commercially available injector. In order to be useful in existing burners, the actuator must not degrade the spray, by changing either the size or velocity distributions of the droplets produced by the injector. The amplitude of the induced modulations in flow rate must be strong enough to induce the required periodicity in heat release rate. This paper reports the results obtained from particle imaging velocimetry and phase Doppler anemometry used to characterize the spray, plus hot-film anemometry and pressure transducer measurements used to characterize the response of the fuel line to the induced flow rate fluctuations and to measure the excitation amplitude. It is found that the actuator response time is sufficiently rapid to modulate the liquid flow rate without changing the spray characteristics. Strong modulation of the flow rate is possible at low forcing frequencies, but the time-averaged flow rate is reduced. At higher forcing frequencies, the actuator response time cuts off, leading to a smaller amplitude flow rate modulation, and a relatively unchanged time-averaged fuel flow rate. For these reasons, this actuator is well suited to the control applications envisaged. 相似文献
