Background  

In recent years scientists have been trying both to increase the efficiency of solar cells, whilst at the same time reducing dimensions and costs. Increases in efficiency have been brought about by implanting carbon nanotubes onto the surface of solar cells in order to reduce the reflection of sunrays, as well as through the insertion of polymeric arrays into the intrinsic layer for charge separation.  相似文献

The catalytic effect of manganese(II) on the oxidation of barium diphenylamine sulfonate (BDAS) with potassium bromate in sulfuric acid was studied. Progress of the reaction was monitored, spectrophotometrically, by measuring absorbance changes at 547.5 nm. A highly sensitive, selective and simple method was accordingly developed for the determination of trace amounts of Mn(II), with no need for a separation or pre‐concentration step. Effects of reaction time, concentration of reagents, temperature and ionic strength on the reaction rate were studied. In the optimized conditions, manganese could be determined in a range of 1 to 60 ng mL?1 with a detection limit of 0.2 ng mL?1. The proposed method was successfully applied to the determination of manganese in tea leaves.  相似文献

In this study, the interaction between (2,2?-bipyridine)(pyrrolidinedithiocarbamato) platinum(II) nitrate, [Pt(bpy)(pyr-dtc]NO3, and human serum albumin (HSA) was investigated by various spectroscopic methods (UV–vis, fluorescence, CD and FT-IR) and molecular docking technique at three temperatures. UV–vis absorption spectroscopy showed that Pt(II) complex can denature the protein at moderate concentrations. The results of emission quenching at two temperatures has revealed that the quenching mechanism of Pt(II) complex with HSA was static quenching mechanism. Binding constants (K), binding site number (n) and corresponding thermodynamic parameters ?G?, ?H? and ?S? were calculated and revealed that hydrophobic forces played a major role when Pt(II) complex interacted with HSA. The binding distance (r) between above complex and HSA based on Förster?s theory of non-radiation energy transfer was calculated as 3.22 nm. Alterations of HSA secondary structure induced by complex were confirmed by FT-IR and CD measurements. Also, a molecular docking study was performed for identification of key structural features of binding of the Pt complex into the receptor and predicting bioactive conformers. Our results may provide valuable information to understand the mechanistic pathway of drug delivery and to pharmacological behavior of drug.  相似文献

Polyelectrolyte complexes between poly(methacrylic acid, sodium salt) and poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride) (PDADMAC) or poly[2‐(methacryloyloxyethyl)trimethylammonium chloride] (PMOETAC) form gels, liquid phases, or soluble complexes depending on charge ratio, total polymer loading, polymer molecular weight, and ionic strength. Increasing the ionic strength of the medium led most polyelectrolyte pairs to transition from gel through liquid complexes (complex coacervate) to soluble complexes. These transitions shift to higher ionic strengths for higher molecular weight polymers, as well as for PMOETAC compared to PDADMAC. The complex phases swelled with increasing polymer loading, ultimately merging with the supernatant phase at a critical polymer loading. The isolated liquid complex phases below and above this critical loading were temperature‐sensitive, showing cloud points followed by macroscopic phase separation upon heating. Incorporating 5 mol % lauryl methacrylate into the polyanion led to increased complex yield with PDADMAC, and increased resistance to ionic strength. In contrast, incorporating 30 mol % of oligo(ethylene glycol) methacrylate into the polyanion led to decreased complex yield, and to lower resistance to ionic strength. Two polyelectrolyte systems that produced liquid complexes were used to encapsulate hydrophobic oils, and in one case were used to demonstrate the feasibility of crosslinking the resulting capsule walls. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this study, a new and simple homogeneous liquid-liquid extraction (HLLE) method based on a pH-independent phase-separation process was developed using a ternary solvent system [water-tetrabutylammonium ion (TBA +)-chloroform] for the preconcentration of Zn2+ ions. A Schiff’s base ligand was used as the chelating agent prior to Zn2+ ions extraction. Flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry using acetylene-air flame was used for the quantification of analyte after preconcentration. The phase separation occurred due to ion-pair formation of TBA and perchlorate ion. The sedimented phase was then separated using a 100 μL micro-syringe and diluted to 1.0 mL with ethanol. The sample was introduced into the flame by conventional aspiration. After the optimization of complexation and extraction conditions such as pH 9.0, [ligand] = 1.0 × 10−5 M, [TBA+] = 2.0 × 10−2 M, 100.0 μL of [CHCl3] and [CLO4] = 2.0 × 10−2 M, a preconcentration factor of 100 was achieved for only 10 mL of the sample. The relative standard deviation was 2.3% (n = 10). The limit of detection was sufficiently low and at ppb level. The proposed method was applied to the extraction and determination of Zn2+ in natural water samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

In this work subtleties of application of BET isotherm for liquid phase adsorption is presented. It has been shown that direct use of the classical BET equation (which was developed for gas phase adsorption) to liquid phase adsorption leads to ambiguous and erroneous results. Some cases of misuse of BET equation for liquid phase adsorption have been revisited. By close examination of the development of the classical equation, the causes of misunderstandings were elucidated and the suitable form of the BET equation for liquid phase adsorption was developed. As case studies, the classical form of the BET equation along with the correct form of the equation for liquid phase have been applied for modeling liquid phase adsorption of methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) on perfluorooctyl alumina, phenol on activated carbon and pentachlorophenol on carbonized bark. It has been shown that direct application of the classical BET isotherm to liquid phase adsorption results in poor and erroneous estimation of the equation parameters. For example, in aqueous phase adsorption of MTBE on perfluorooctyl alumina, the monolayer adsorption capacity of the adsorbent was calculated as 9.7 mg/g instead of 3.3 mg/g or the saturation concentration of MTBE in water was calculated as 1212 mg/L instead of 42000 mg/L.  相似文献

In this paper, with the use of Chiral Perturbation theory (χPT), we have studied the η′ decays in to 3π and 2πη, after performing these reactions. The Scattering amplitude and decay width are calculated for different modes up to NLO. The Dalitz plot expansion and parameter fixing for each of them is also calculated. Experimental results are in good agreement with the obtained results. We compare our results with charged and neutral decay parameters with the most recent Particle Data Group results of these observables. At next-to-leading order, our results for decay widths of the charged (neutral) channel are Γ(η′→2πη)=83.6±0.8 (43.0±2.2) keV and Γ(η′→3π)=0.716±0.072 (0.320±0.079) keV. These results are in agreement with several other theoretical determinations and experimental findings.  相似文献
