A finite model property for RMImin

It is proved that the variety of relevant disjunction lattices has the finite embeddability property. It follows that Avron's relevance logic RMI _min has a strong form of the finite model property, so it has a solvable deducibility problem. This strengthens Avron's result that RMI _min is decidable. Quantization of Underdamped, Critically Damped, and Overdamped Electric Circuits with a Power Source

We have investigated the quantum mechanical effect of the underdamped, critically damped, and overdamped electric circuits with a power source. The charge of the underdamped circuit oscillates while those of the critically damped and overdamped ones don't. The wave function of the system of overdamped circuit represented parabolic cylinder function while underdamped circuit was represented by well-known Hermite polynomial. The eigenvalues of underdamped circuit is discrete while those of the critically damped and overdamped ones are given as continuously.     

Fuzzy convex sets in median algebras

The fuzzification of convex sets in median algebras is considered, and some of their properties are investigated. A characterization of finite valued fuzzy convex set is given.     

Efficient microwave induced direct α-halogenation of carbonyl compounds

A novel and direct method for the synthesis of α-halocarbonyl compounds using sequential treatment of carbonyl compounds with [hydroxy(tosyloxy)iodo]benzene followed by magnesium halides under solvent-free microwave irradiation conditions is described.     

Ternary univariate curvature-preserving subdivision

We present an interpolating, univariate subdivision scheme which preserves the discrete curvature and tangent direction at each step of subdivision. Since the polygon have a geometric information of some original (in some sense) curve as a discrete curvature, we can expect that the limit curve has the same curvature at each vertex as the control polygon. We estimate the curvature bound of odd vertices and give an error estimate for restoring a curve from sampled vertices on curves.     

Hamiltonian N2‐locally connected claw‐free graphs

A graph G is N₂‐locally connected if for every vertex ν in G, the edges not incident with ν but having at least one end adjacent to ν in G induce a connected graph. In 1990, Ryjá?ek conjectured that every 3‐connected N₂‐locally connected claw‐free graph is Hamiltonian. This conjecture is proved in this note. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. WKB Wave Function of the General Time-Dependent Quadratic Hamiltonian System

We derived the WKB wave function for the general time-dependent quadratic Hamiltonian system using a unitary transformation method. We applied our research to sinusodially drived Caldirola–Kanai oscillator and confirmed that the time evolution of our approximated WKB wave function is similar to that of the exact one. This wave function can be used to analyze the interference between the probability amplitudes contributed by the area of overlap in phase space of quantum states.     

A lithium ethyl­ene­diphos­phon­ate containing lithium chains and symmetric hydrogen bonds

In the title compound, catena‐poly[lithium‐μ₃‐ethyl­ene­diphos­phon­ato], [Li(C₂H₇O₆P₂)]_n, the supra­molecular monoclinic (C2/c) structure consists of one‐dimensional lithium chains [Li⋯Li = 2.7036 (8) Å] that are embedded within ethyl­ene­diphosphon­ate anions linked by strong symmetric hydrogen bonds [O⋯O = 2.473 (3) Å]. The Li atoms and the H atom in the symmetric hydrogen bond reside on twofold rotation axes and there is an inversion center at the mid‐point of the C—C bond of the ethylenediphosphonate ligand.
