We report the realization of a monolithic vertical-cavity, surface emitting micro-optical parametric conversion nanostructure, triply resonant with the parametric frequencies, allowing parametric oscillation with ultra-low pump power threshold. The photonic phase-space naturally provides triple resonance for the parametric frequencies, together with built-in cavity phase-matching for the pump wave at normal incidence. Parametric oscillation is observed in both the strong and weak exciton–photon coupling regime, allowing a high operating temperature. Signal and idler beams can be collected at 0° or at finite angles. The OPO threshold is low enough to envisage the realization of an all-semiconductor electrically-pumped micro-parametric oscillator. The coordination chemistry of the Schiff base polypyrrolic octaaza macrocycle 1 toward late first-row transition metals was investigated. Binuclear complexes with the divalent cations Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) and with the monovalent cation Cu(I) were prepared and characterized. A tetranuclear iron cluster is the principal component of the purple coatings produced by treating a mild steel surface with a salicylaldoxime corrosion inhibitor. Diced Roma tomatoes were treated with gamma irradiation and evaluated for changes in microbial, physical, chemical and sensory properties. Dosages for Trial 1 were 0.0, 0.39, 0.56 and 1.82 kGy and in Trial 2, 0.0, 0.50, 1.24 and 3.70 kGy. Irradiation at 3.70 kGy resulted in no aerobic populations through day 12 and significantly fewer colonies through day 15 whereas yeast and mold populations experienced a 2 log reduction through day 12. Color, titratable acidity, and °Brix were not significantly affected by irradiation. Tissue firmness decreased with increasing dose but not with storage time. Treatment with 3.7 kGy decreased firmness by 50% and 20% with 0.5 kGy, however, the reduced firmness induced by 0.50 kGy was undetected by a 9 member trained sensory panel. A significant (p0.05) inverse correlation between changes in texture and water-soluble pectin (WSP) was determined while total pectin remained relatively constant and oxalate soluble pectin content decreased slightly with irradiation dose. The significant inverse correlation between the loss of firmness and WSP indicates that the changes in WSP play an important role in the tissue softening of tomatoes, This study indicates that irradiation at 0.5 kGy can reduce microbial counts substantially to improve microbial shelf life without adverse effects on sensory qualities. 相似文献

Several novel pentamethylcyclopentadienyl complexes of general formula [(C5Me5)IrL3][BF4]2 were prepared including the tris(solvent) precursors [(C5Me5)M(acetone)2(H2O)][BF4]2 (M = Rh, Ir) (1a,b). The X-ray molecular structures of 1a,b were determined at low temperature. Complexes 1a,b are isostructural, and both compounds crystallize in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with a = 10.157(3) A, b = 14.038(9) A, c = 16.335(2) A, beta = 99.73(2) degrees, and Z = 4 for 1a and with a = 10.107(9) A, b = 13.994(16) A, c = 15.996(34) A, beta = 99.61(12) degrees, and Z = 4 for 1b. The coordinated water molecule is hydrogen bonded to both BF4(-) anions. Reaction of 1a,b with pyridine (py) afforded the related tris(pyridine) complexes [(C5Me5)M(eta1-(N)-py)3][BF4]2 (M = Rh, Ir) (2a,b). Complex 2b was characterized by X-ray crystallography, monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with a = 8.665(3) A, b = 19.687(7) A, c = 18.408(5) A, beta = 94.17(3) degrees, and Z = 4. Moreover, we prepared the novel neutral compounds (C5Me5)M(eta2-NO3)(eta1-NO3) (M = Rh, Ir) (4a,b) where the anions are bonded to the metal center instead of a coordinating solvent as confirmed by X-ray study on the iridium complex 4b. The latter crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pcab with a = 13.032(4) A, b = 14.370(11) A, c = 14.839(18) A, and Z = 8. 相似文献
