J/psi production in d + Au and p + p collisions at square root of S(NN) = 200 GeV has been measured by the PHENIX experiment at rapidities -2.2 < y < +2.4. The cross sections and nuclear dependence of J/psi production versus rapidity, transverse momentum, and centrality are obtained and compared to lower energy p + A results and to theoretical models. The observed nuclear dependence in d + Au collisions is found to be modest, suggesting that the absorption in the final state is weak and the shadowing of the gluon distributions is small and consistent with Dokshitzer-Gribov-Lipatov-Altarelli-Parisi-based parametrizations that fit deep-inelastic scattering and Drell-Yan data at lower energies.  相似文献

A nanometer scale redox active biomolecular architecture has been successfully synthesized through an efficient chemoselective oxime based coupling between ferrocenyl groups and a regioselectively addressable cyclodecapeptide. This molecular tool exhibits electronic, structural, and chemical properties driven by the biomimetic recognition activity of the polypeptide skeleton associated to the well-defined electrochemical activity of metallocenyl probes. Biomolecular materials obtained by confinement of the redox cyclopeptide in self-assembled monolayers on gold surfaces shows efficient through-bond electron transfer from the ferrocenes to the electrode surface via the peptidic backbone, as well as markedly improved sensing properties toward anionic species in organic electrolyte, as compared to those observed in homogeneous solution.  相似文献

A series of imidazole-containing peptidomimetic PFTase inhibitors and their co-crystal structures bound to PFTase and FPP are reported. The structures reveal that the peptidomimetics adopt a similar conformation to that of the extended CVIM tetrapeptide, with the imidazole group coordinating to the catalytic zinc ion. Both mono- and bis-imidazole-containing derivatives, 13 and 16, showed remarkably high enzyme inhibition activity against PFTase in vitro with IC50 values of 0.86 and 1.7 nM, respectively. The peptidomimetics were also highly selective for PFTase over PGGTase-I both in vitro and in intact cells. In addition, peptidomimetics and were found to suppress tumor growth in nude mouse xenograft models with no gross toxicity at a daily dose of 25 mg kg(-1).  相似文献

Conditions for mean square stability of a two-degree-of-freedom system have been obtained for the case of sum combinational resonance due to sinusoidal parametric excitation with constant amplitude and white-noise random temporal variations in the instantaneous frequency. Analysis is based on the asymptotic Krylov–Bogoliubov averaging method. The resulting set of ten deterministic differential equations for second-order moments of the four new state variables (inphase and quadrature modal responses) was solved analytically for its neutral stability boundary. The imperfections in periodicity may lead to either stabilization or destabilization of the system and the corresponding conditions have been clearly established from the solution obtained. Furthermore, conditions for almost sure stability have been obtained for a special symmetric case of identical modal damping factors and identical modal excitation amplitudes.  相似文献

Two mononuclear ferric complexes are reported that respond to a pH change with a 27- and 71-fold jump, respectively, in their capacity to accelerate the longitudinal relaxation rate of water-hydrogen nuclei, and this starting from a negligible base value of only 0.06. This unprecedented performance bodes well for tackling the sensitivity issues hampering the development of Molecular MRI. The two chelates also excel in the fully reversible and fatigue-less nature of this phenomenon. The structural reasons for this performance reside in the macrocyclic nature of the hexa-dentate ligand, as well as the presence of a single pendant arm displaying a five-membered lactam or carbamate which show (perturbed) pKa values of 3.5 in the context of this N6 N5O1 coordination motif.  相似文献

Monte Carlo methods are most versatile regarding applications to the reliability analysis of high-dimensional nonlinear structural systems. In addition to its versatility, the computational efficacy of Monte Carlo method is not adversely affected by the dimensionality of the problem. Crude Monte Carlo techniques, however, are very inefficient for extremely small failure probabilities such as typically required for sensitive structural systems. Therefore methods to increase the efficacy for small failure probability while keeping the adverse influence of dimensionality small are desirable. On such method is the asymptotic sampling method. Within the framework of this method, well-known asymptotic properties of the reliability index regarding the scaling of the basic variables are exploited to construct a regression model which allows to determine the reliability index for extremely small failure probabilities with high precision using a moderate number of Monte Carlo samples.
