Chromatographic retention data and thermodynamic properties of six pine terpenes (α-pinene, β-pinene, camphene, limonene, α-phellandrene and p-cymene) on six different liquid phases, with a wide range of polarity, are reported at temperatures from 80 to 120 °C. The retention behaviour and selectivity of liquid phases for the separation of binary solute systems are discussed in terms of activity coefficients and specific interactions. Solubility parameters for the liquid phases are reported using the regular solution theory and the Takamiya equation and a good correlation between polarity and solubility parameters is observed.  相似文献

GYKI-16084 – (+)-(R)-2-{3-(benzo[1,4]dioxan-2-yl-methylamino)-1-propyl}-3(2H)-pyridazinone hydrochloride – is a new drug candidate for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. In our study the major metabolites formed in the rat and dog were isolated from dog and rat urine, then their structures were elucidated by means of MS and NMR. A two stage solid phase extraction (SPE) procedure and a semi-preparative HPLC method were developed utilizing various mechanisms of separation. The major metabolites proved to be isomeric glucuronides of the benzodioxane moiety hydroxylated at positions 6 or 7 and {2-(2-carboxyethyl)-3(2H)-pyridazinone}.  相似文献

[reaction: see text] Several benzo[d]-1,2-oxaphosphole 2-oxides were examined as potential precursors of stabilized C-centered radicals. The transient absorption spectra obtained after laser flash photolysis in the presence of di-tert-butyl peroxide showed the features of benzylic radicals with formation and decay kinetics not significantly influenced by the presence of oxygen. We have quantum chemically studied the structure and nature of alkali- and coinage-metal bonds (M-bonds) versus that of hydrogen bonds between A−M and B in archetypal [A−M⋅⋅⋅B] model systems (A, B=F, Cl and M=H, Li, Na, Cu, Ag, Au), using relativistic density functional theory at ZORA-BP86-D3/TZ2P. We find that coinage-metal bonds are stronger than alkali-metal bonds which are stronger than the corresponding hydrogen bonds. Our main purpose is to understand how and why the structure, stability and nature of such bonds are affected if the monovalent central atom H of hydrogen bonds is replaced by an isoelectronic alkali- or coinage-metal atom. To this end, we have analyzed the bonds between A−M and B using the activation strain model, quantitative Kohn-Sham molecular orbital (MO) theory, energy decomposition analysis (EDA), and Voronoi deformation density (VDD) analysis of the charge distribution.  相似文献

Carbonized polymer dots (CPDs), a peculiar type of carbon dots, show extremely high quantum yields, making them very attractive nanostructures for application in optics and biophotonics. The origin of the strong photoluminescence of CPDs resides in a complicated interplay of several radiative mechanisms. To understand the correlation between CPD processing and properties, the early stage formation of carbonized polymer dots has been studied. In the synthesis, citric acid monohydrate and 2-amino-2-(hydroxymethyl)propane-1,3-diol have been thermally degraded at 180 °C. The use of an oil bath instead of a more traditional hydrothermal reactor has allowed the CPD properties to be monitored at different reactions times. Transmission electron microscopy, time-resolved photoluminescence, nuclear magnetic resonance, infrared, and Raman spectroscopy have revealed the formation of polymeric species with amide and ester bonds. Quantum chemistry calculations have been employed to investigate the origin of CPD electronic transitions. At short reaction times, amorphous C-dots with 80 % quantum yield, have been obtained.  相似文献

Many (poly-)phenolic natural products, for example, curcumin and taxifolin, have been studied for their activity against specific hallmarks of neurodegeneration, such as amyloid-β 42 (Aβ42) aggregation and neuroinflammation. Due to their drawbacks, arising from poor pharmacokinetics, rapid metabolism, and even instability in aqueous medium, the biological activity of azobenzene compounds carrying a pharmacophoric catechol group, which have been designed as bioisoteres of curcumin has been examined. Molecular simulations reveal the ability of these compounds to form a hydrophobic cluster with Aβ42, which adopts different folds, affecting the propensity to populate fibril-like conformations. Furthermore, the curcumin bioisosteres exceeded the parent compound in activity against Aβ42 aggregation inhibition, glutamate-induced intracellular oxidative stress in HT22 cells, and neuroinflammation in microglial BV-2 cells. The most active compound prevented apoptosis of HT22 cells at a concentration of 2.5 μm (83 % cell survival), whereas curcumin only showed very low protection at 10 μm (21 % cell survival).  相似文献

The availability of recent supercomputers and massively parallel computing facilities makes possible the calculation of the electronic structure of highly extended (mesoscopic) molecular networks. Disorder, which is practically always present in these systems, causes an extreme complexity of the wave function that typically shows multifractal behavior in the intermediate length scale. Multifractal analysis, however, is possible only on systems that cover several orders of length scales. Though such calculation can be carried out on model systems, it is beyond the bounds of present ab initio or semiempirical treatments. In this contribution, a shape-analysis method of the wave function is given that is applicable both for localized and multifractal one-particle states even in moderately large networks without a regular geometrical structure. No boxing of the distributions is necessary through several orders of magnitude of scaling distances. Multifractal behavior and different regularly decaying localization shape functions can be distinguished. Finite-size multifractal distributions are also discussed. The described method is intended to serve as an easily applicable and efficient tool for bridging over the gap between the wave-function analysis of systems containing macroscopic and moderately large number of particles. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

An extensive photophysical characterization of 3-chloro-4-methylumbelliferone (3Cl4MU) in the ground-state, S(0), first excited singlet state, S(1), and lowest triplet state, T(1), was undertaken in water, neutral ethanol, acidified ethanol, and basified ethanol. Quantitative measurements of quantum yields (fluorescence, phosphorescence, intersystem crossing, internal conversion, and singlet oxygen formation) together with lifetimes were obtained at room and low temperature in water, dioxane/water mixtures, and alcohols. The different transient species were assigned and a general kinetic scheme is presented, summarizing the excited-state multiequilibria of 3Cl4MU. In water, the equilibrium is restricted to neutral (N*) and anionic (A*) species, both in the ground (pK(a) = 7.2) and first excited singlet states (pK(a)* = 0.5). In dioxane/water mixtures (pH ca. 6), substantial changes of the kinetics of the S(1) state were observed with the appearance of an additional tautomeric T* species. In low water content mixtures (mixture 9:1 v:v), only the neutral (N*) and tautomeric (T*) forms of 3Cl4MU are observed, whereas at higher water content mixtures (water mole fraction superior to 0.45), all three species N*, T*, and A* coexist in the excited state. In the triplet state, in the nonprotic and nonpolar solvent dioxane, the observed transient signals were assigned as the triplet-triplet transition of the neutral form, N*(T(1)) → N*(T(n)). In water, two transient species were observed and are assigned as the triplets of the neutral N*(T(1)) and the anionic form, A*(T(1)) (also obtained in basified ethanol). The phosphorescence spectra and decays of 3Cl4MU, in neutral, acidified, and basified solutions, demonstrate that only these two species N*(T(1)) and A*(T(1)) exist in the lowest lying triplet state, T(1). The radiative channel was found dominant for the deactivation of the anionic species, whereas with the neutral the S(1) ? S(0) internal conversion competes with fluorescence. For both N* and A* the intersystem crossing yield represents a minor deactivation channel for S(1).  相似文献
