A total synthesis of millingtonine A, a diglycosylated alkaloid, has been accomplished. Millingtonine A possesses a unique racemic tricyclic core structure not known from any other natural or synthetic source until now. Composites of poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) of varying aspect ratio and carboxylic acid functionality were prepared using melt mixing. The extent of dispersion and distribution of the MWCNTs in the PMMA matrix was investigated using a combination of high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), wide-angle X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman spectroscopy. The electrical resistivity and oscillatory shear rheological properties of the composites were measured as a function of MWCNT geometry, functionality, and concentration. The fundamental ballistic conductance of the pristine free-standing MWCNTs was investigated using a mechanically controlled break-junction method. The electrical conductivity of PMMA was enhanced by up to 11 orders of magnitude for MWCNT concentrations below 0.5 wt.%. MWCNTs having higher aspect ratio, above 500, or functionalized with carboxylic acid groups readily formed rheological percolated networks with thresholds, determined from a power law relationship, of 1.52 and 2.06 wt.%, respectively. The onset of pseudo-solid-like behaviour and network formation is observed as G′, η∗, and tan δ−1 are independent of frequency as MWCNT loading increased. Sufficiently long and/or functionalized tubes are required to physically bridge or provide interfacial interactions with PMMA to alter polymer chain dynamics. Carboxylic acid functionalization disrupts the crystalline order of MWCNTs due to a loss of π-conjugation and electron de-localisation of sp2 C-C bonds resulting in non-ballistic electron transport in these tubes, irrespective of how highly dispersed they are in the PMMA matrix.  相似文献

The development of enhanced conditions for Lewis acid catalysed Leimgruber-Batcho indole synthesis using microwave acceleration is described. This approach has permitted the preparation of a variety of heteroaromatic enamine intermediates in good yield and high purities. Subsequent catalytic hydrogenation reactions, under various conditions including the use of a solid-phase encapsulated catalyst, furnish the corresponding indole derivatives in good yields.  相似文献

独居石微晶玻璃由偏磷酸盐玻璃和独居石两相组成。玻璃和独居石的红外吸收谱带彼此不相重叠,且1275和616cm~(-1)谱带的吸收强度随玻璃相的含量变化而变化。两谱带的对数吸光度比值与玻璃相含量(w%)的相关系数r=0.9975,其回归方程为y=48.356 25.93x。合成独居石的IR谱中952和616cm~(-1)谱带的吸光度比值也随不同的Ce_2O_3/La_2O_3比值规律变化。其r=0.9917,回归方程为y=0.2211exp(0.0221x)。高的相关性表明IR技术可在磷酸盐微晶玻璃物相定量分析中得到实际应用。  相似文献

In this paper we wish to report on a variety of expedient chemical transformations and purifications achieved via a generic "catch and release" methodology, based on a synthetically inert bipyridyl chelating tag that can be selectively captured with a resin-bound copper(II) species. Utilising this approach we are able to derive many of the same benefits associated with both solid phase synthesis and supported reagent methods.  相似文献
