The role of electronic factors in reagents in controlling thestereochemistry of arylsulfenyl chlorides addition

For a series of substituted arylsulfenyl chlorides the stereochemistry of Ad_E-reactions with a series of substituted Z- and E-β-deuterostyrenes has been elucidated. Non-stereospecific reaction was observed only for the pair 2,4-dinitrobenzenesulfenyl chloride-p-methoxystyrene; for all the other reactants the reaction proceeded in a strictly stereospecific manner.     

Investigation of the reduction of methylenequinones by methods of polarography and EPR spectroscopy

EPR spectra of halogenonitromethane anion radicals

Reactivity of Arylhydrazones toward Molecular Oxygen

The kinetics and mechanism of reaction of arylhydrazones with molecular oxygen were studied by gas volumetry. The reaction rate was studied in relation to the structure of arylhydrazone and kind of the solvent. The inhibiting power of the compounds toward initiated oxidation of ethylbenzene was evaluated, and the most effective compounds were found, judging from the ratio of the rate constants of the reactions with molecular oxygen and with peroxy radicals arising in the course of ethylbenzene oxidation.     

Reactions of diterpenoids on solid supports II. Behavior of di- and tricyclic diterpenoids on alumina containing oxidants

The behavior of epimanool (1), epimanool oil, larixol (2), cis-abienol (3) and methyl dehydroabietate (4) on alumina impregnated with oxidants (H₂CrO₄ and KMnO₄) has been studied. Calculation of the gas hydrate HS-1 framework structure and its energy estimation

Using the Zimmennan-Pimentel potential, we have calculated the basic atomic coordinates of the unit cell of the gas hydrate HS-lframework. A minimum change in the strain energy of hydrogen bonh U_H fakes place in formation of this framework from ice Ih.
