We propose and demonstrate an S-band CW dual-wavelength erbium-doped fiber (EDF) dual-ring laser using a compound-ring filter (CRF) with various coupling losses inside the gain cavity. Employing a ring filter combined within the cavity, the fiber laser can lase a dual wavelength without any filter inside the ring loop. The dual-wavelength output exhibits a good performance having optical side-mode suppression ratios (SMSRs) of 31.6 and 31.8 dB and output powers of ?9.6 and ?9.3 dBm at 1505.58 and 1506.43 nm, respectively, when the coupling loss is 30% inside the cavity. In addition, the output stabilities of the dual-wavelength laser have also been analyzed.  相似文献

We provide a seminal example of the utility of the 1,2‐azaborine motif as a 4C+1N+1B synthon in organic synthesis. Specifically, conditions for the practically scalable photoisomerization of 1,2‐azaborine in a flow reactor are reported that furnish aminoborylated cyclobutane derivatives. The C?B bonds could also be functionalized to furnish a diverse set of highly substituted cyclobutanes.  相似文献

The reacting flow in a research lean direct injection (LDI) hydrogen combustor and the static stall of NACA0012 airfoil were simulated using both Reynolds averaged Navier–Stokes (RANS) and partially resolved numerical simulation (PRNS) approaches. The concept and the main features of the PRNS approach are briefly described. The PRNS basic equations are grid independent or grid invariant; the subscale models are a dynamic equation system. We consider PRNS as an engineering tool for the very large eddy simulation of complex turbulent flows. Two CFD codes, NCC and Wind-US, with two different subscale models (i.e. two- and one-transport equation models, respectively) are used in the presented PRNS simulations. Based on the comparisons with available experimental data, the numerical results indicate that the PRNS subscale models seem to be able to capture important large scale turbulent structures and to improve the quality of numerical simulations while keeping a relatively low cost comparable to the unsteady RANS simulations.  相似文献

We report on the theoretical derivation and experimental observation of spatiotemporal modulation instability (MI) of a coherent light beam in noninstantaneous nonlinear media. We obtain analytically the MI growth rate as a function of the spatial and temporal frequencies of the perturbation and the material response time. In the experiment, we observe that the varying speed of the MI patterns increases with the decreased material response time. We also observe that increasing the material response time can arrest the MI, agreeing with our theoretical derivation.  相似文献

Thin films of Bi were grown by pulsed laser deposition on glass substrates at room temperature. The thickness and roughness of the films were characterized by grazing-incidence x-ray reflectivity, and the complex refractive indices were measured in the range from 1.5 to 4 eV by spectroscopic ellipsometry. We performed Z-scan measurements to study the third-order optical nonlinearity of the films. It was found that the Bi films exhibited an unusually large nonlinear refractive coefficient, n(I)~1.24x10(-1) cm(2)/kW and nonlinear absorption coefficient, alpha(I)~-3.97 cm/W , at low laser intensity, ~60 kW/cm(2) . This anomaly is believed to have an origin related to melting of the Bi films at the focus spot by the laser beam.  相似文献

In the photolysis of ketene with benzene in the gas phase, Cycloheptatriene (CHT) and totuene (Tol) have been observed as the products. The ratio, (CHT)/(CHT)+(Tol) are studied at various conditions. The difference of activation energy of formation between toluene and cycloheptariene is evaluated to be 4.76 kcal/mole.  相似文献

We observe stable propagation of spatially localized single- and double-charge optical vortices in a self-focusing nonlinear medium. The vortices are created by self-trapping of partially incoherent light carrying a phase dislocation, and they are stabilized when the spatial incoherence of light exceeds a certain threshold. We confirm the vortex stabilization effect by numerical simulations and also show that the similar mechanism of stabilization applies to higher-order vortices.  相似文献

We demonstrate theoretically and experimentally that induced spatiotemporal modulation instability can exist in a self-defocusing medium if the nonlinearity is noninstantaneous. We predict the growth rate as a function of the spatial and temporal frequencies of the modulation and the response time of the nonlinearity and confirm it by our experiments.  相似文献
