Spectrophotometric determination of triclosan in personal care products

A spectrophotometric method for the determination of triclosan in personal care products was proposed. It was based on the reaction of sodium nitrite with p-sulfanilic acid in an acidic medium to form diazonium ion, with which triclosan further formed an azo compound in an alkaline medium. The resulting yellow colored product has a maximum absorption at 452 nm. A good linear relationship (r = 0.9999) was obtained in the range of 0–30 mg L⁻¹ triclosan. A detection limit of 0.079 g L⁻¹ was achieved and the relative standard deviation was 0.24% (n = 11) at 14 mg L⁻¹ triclosan. The proposed method has been applied to the analyses of triclosan in several personal care products and the results were in good agreement with those obtained by high-performance liquid chromatography.     

Nonlinear traveling waves in a compressible Mooney-Rivlin rod I. Long finite-amplitude waves

In literature, nonlinear traveling waves in elastic circular rods have only been studied based on single partial differential equation (pde) models, and here we consider such a problem by using a more accurate coupled-pde model. We derive the Hamiltonian from the model equations for the long finite-amplitude wave approximation, analyze how the number of singular points of the system changes with the parameters, and study the features of these singular points qualitatively. Various physically acceptable nonlinear traveling waves are also discussed, and corresponding examples are given. In particular, we find that certain waves, which cannot be counted by the single-equation model, can arise. Constructions for key distribution patterns

Key distribution patterns (KDPs) are finite incidence structures satisfying a certain property which makes them widely used in minimizing the key storage and ensuring the security of communication between users in a large network. We construct a new KDP using t-design and combine two ω-KDPs to give new (ω-1)-KDPs, which provide secure communication in a large network and minimize the amount of key storage.     

基于石墨烯的光纤湿度传感研究

将还原氧化石墨烯(r GO)沉积在侧边抛磨光纤(SPF)上制作了一种新型的光纤湿度传感器。在高湿度区域[相对温度(RH)为70%~95%],传感器的光功率变化达到6.9 d B,尤其在RH为75%~95%区域,传感器对湿度变化能实现相关系数为98.2%的线性响应,灵敏度可达0.31 d B/(%RH),响应速度快于0.13(%RH)/s,并且具有很好的可重复性。对传感机理的理论分析可以解释实验结果,并且表明这种基于石墨烯的光纤传感器亦可广泛应用于其他种类化学气体的探测。这种全新机理的光学传感器是对石墨烯电化学传感器的一种很好的补充,并将促进石墨烯在化学传感技术中的应用。     

Procurement strategies for lost-sales inventory systems with all-units discounts

Despite the prevalence of all-units discounts in procurement contracts, these discounts pose a technical challenge to analyze procurement strategies due to neither concave nor convex ordering costs. In this paper, we consider the optimal procurement strategies with all-units discounts under the lost-sales setting. By assuming log-concave demands, we find that the optimal procurement strategies have a generalized Q-jump (s, S) structure by introducing a new notion of Q-jump single-crossing. In particular, a sufficient condition is provided for degenerating the optimal procurement strategies from a generalized Q-jump (s, S) structure into a Q-jump (s, S) structure, which is definitely optimal for the single-period problem. Extensive numerical results suggest that the Q-jump (s, S) policy as a heuristic performs considerably well when its optimality sufficient condition is violated. Our results can be extended to systems with multi-break all-units discounts, and systems with all-units discounts on batch ordering.     

全三维35 GHz双阳极磁控注入式电子枪数值模拟研究

基于trade-off平衡方程组得到35 GHz双阳极磁控注入式电子枪的初始参数,通过编程对其主要参数进行优化设计,并经由自主研发的PIC粒子模拟软件CHIPIC中的电子枪计算模块对其进行全三维的数值模拟研究,最终获得了具有横纵速度比为1.5,最大速度零散约为5.4%的高性能电子枪,能够很好地满足35 GHz-100 kW回旋振荡管对电子束的要求。     

Further results on several types of generalized inverses

Let R be an associative ring with unity 1 and let a,b,c∈R. In this paper, several characterizations for hybrid (b,c)-inverses of a are given. Also, the hybrid (b,c)-inverse of a is characterized by the group inverse of ab, under certain hypothesis. In particular, existence criteria for the the inverse along an element are obtained. Finally, we get the double commutant property and the reverse order law of annihilator (b,c)-inverses.
