Determination of inosine 5′-monophosphate and guanosine 5′-monophosphate in pig feed by capillary zone electrophoresis

A capillary zone clectrophoresis method was developed for the determination of IMP and GIMP, commonly used as flavor enhancers in poultry feed, in a real sample of complex composition. A baseline separation of inosine 5′-monophosphate and guanosine 5′-monophosphate was achieved within 10 min and the other components in the sample did not interfere with the separation. Quantitative results obtained from pig feed samples are presented. The separation conditions and experimental reproducibility are also discussed.     

Bang-bang optimal control for the dam problem

The dam problem with general geometry is considered. Fluid is drawn from the bottomS ₁ at a ratek where 0 k N, _{S 1} k M; the objective is to minimize the total pressure of the fluid in the dam. A bang-bang principle is established for any optimal controlk ₀, that is,k ₀ = 0 on a setA andk ₀ =N on the complement setS ₁ A. In the case of a rectangular dam the structure ofA is determined and the uniqueness of the minimizerk ₀ is established.This work is partially supported by National Science Foundation Grants DMS-8501397 and DMS-8420896.     

Shortening of travelling-wave-amplified spontaneous emission by a transversal pumping scheme

An experimental investigation on shortening of travelling-wave ASE employing a transversal pumping is presented. A N₂ laser with =337.1 nm, pulsewidth: 700 ps is used as a pump source. An ASE pulse with duration of 45, 55 and 45 ps from dye solution of Rh 6G, Rh B and C311, respectively, is obtained. Pulse shapes of output signals generated from these solutions in three different pumping schemes are compared.     

四磺酸基酞菁锌在水和非水溶剂中的电化学性质研究

在非水溶剂（二甲基亚砜（ＤＭＳＯ）及Ｎ,Ｎ＿二甲基甲酰胺（ＤＭＦ））中的伏安曲线．呈现三对电流峰,表明存在三个可逆或准可逆酞菁配体的单电子转移过程,而在水溶液中则不呈现准可逆行为,且波形改变很大．此外,还比较了四磺酸基酞菁锌的水溶液在自然光和红光（６００～７００ｎｍ）照射下的循环伏安曲线,其氧化还原峰的数目和峰电位基本不变,但在红光照射下比自然光照射下的峰电流明显增大．
