A polymer-anchored Pd(II) Schiff base complex has been synthesized by reacting a polymeric amine with 2-pyridinecarboxaldehyde
to get the polymer-anchored Schiff base, which was then reacted with palladium acetate. The catalyst was characterized by
physicochemical and spectroscopic methods. It shows excellent catalytic activity in the Sonogashira coupling of phenylacetylene
with aryl halides using triethylamine as a base and copper iodide as a co-catalyst in water under open air at 70 °C. We have
also studied the effects of base and solvent on the coupling reaction. Sonogashira reactions of phenylacetylene with a variety
of functionalized aryl halides were performed under the optimized reaction conditions. This catalyst gives excellent yields
without the use of phosphine ligands. Further experiments showed that the catalyst can be used five times without much loss

The paper investigates the effect of radiation on Darcy's buoyancy induced flow of an optically dense viscous incompressible fluid along a heated inclined flat surface maintained at uniform temperature placed in a saturated porous medium with Rosseland diffusion approximation employing the implicit finite difference method together with Keller box elimination technique. Both the streamwise and normal components of the buoyancy force are retained in the momentum equations. The numerical results show that as the buoyancy parameter, ξ, increases the local Nusselt number increases. The results for the locally nonsimilar solutions are compared with the locally similar solutions for small angle of inclination and approximate similar solutions along vertical surface. The effect of the conduction-radiation parameter, R d , and the surface temperature excess ration, θ w , on the local Nusselt number, the tangential velocity distribution and the temperature distribution are also shown graphically. 相似文献

and spectroscopic techniques. The complex was found to be a highly active catalyst for the oxidation of various organic substrates
including alkenes and alcohols using H2O2 as oxidant. The reaction conditions were optimized with respect to temperature, solvent, oxidant, catalyst amount, and substrate
to peroxide ratio. The heterogeneous catalyst was reused five times without significant loss of activity. A comparison between

The effect of temperature on the surface phase behavior of tetradecanoyl N-ethanolamide (NHEA-14) in Langmuir monolayers at the air-water interface has been investigated by film balance and Brewster angle microscopy (BAM). It has been observed that dendritic domains are formed in the coexistence region between liquid-expanded (LE) and liquid-condensed (LC) phases at different temperatures. At 10 and 15°C, the domains are four-armed dendrites having wide arms which have a tendency to be fractal while growing in size. At 20°C, five-armed dendritic domains are formed. At a temperature higher than 20°C, the domains are mainly six-armed dendrites having very narrow and sharp arms. The formation of dendritic domains should be due to the presence of interfacial hydrogen bonding among the head groups of the amphiphile. Increased dehydration of the head groups with an increase in the temperature should be responsible for the temperature dependency of the dendritic domain shapes in the monolayers of NHEA-14. 相似文献

The anisotropic correlation between buckled dimers on Si(100) was investigated by scanning tunneling microscopy. A bidentate ligand molecule was used to pin two neighboring dimers at 300 K. The current study attempted, for the first time, to qualitatively and quantitatively determine the phytochemical components of Elatostema papillosum methanol extract and their biological activities. The present study represents an effort to correlate our previously reported biological activities with a computational study, including molecular docking, and ADME/T (absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion/toxicity) analyses, to identify the phytochemicals that are potentially responsible for the antioxidant, antidepressant, anxiolytic, analgesic, and anti-inflammatory activities of this plant. In the gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy analysis, a total of 24 compounds were identified, seven of which were documented as being bioactive based on their binding affinities. These seven were subjected to molecular docking studies that were correlated with the pharmacological outcomes. Additionally, the ADME/T properties of these compounds were evaluated to determine their drug-like properties and toxicity levels. The seven selected, isolated compounds displayed favorable binding affinities to potassium channels, human serotonin receptor, cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1), COX-2, nuclear factor (NF)-κB, and human peroxiredoxin 5 receptor proteins. Phytol acetate, and terpene compounds identified in E. papillosum displayed strong predictive binding affinities towards the human serotonin receptor. Furthermore, 3-trifluoroacetoxypentadecane showed a significant binding affinity for the KcsA potassium channel. Eicosanal showed the highest predicted binding affinity towards the human peroxiredoxin 5 receptor. All of these findings support the observed in vivo antidepressant and anxiolytic effects and the in vitro antioxidant effects observed for this extract. The identified compounds from E. papillosum showed the lowest binding affinities towards COX-1, COX-2, and NF-κB receptors, which indicated the inconsequential impacts of this extract against the activities of these three proteins. Overall, E. papillosum appears to be bioactive and could represent a potential source for the development of alternative medicines; however, further analytical experiments remain necessary. 相似文献

The heterocyclic ligand is coordinated through the C(8) carbon and nitrogen atoms in a new -1,8-2-bonding mode.
