Nanomaterials based on zirconium tungstate (ZrW2O8) exhibit numerous outstanding properties that make them ideal candidates for the development of high‐performance composites. Low coefficient of thermal expansion for advanced materials is a promising direction in the field of insulating nanocomposites. However, the agglomeration of zirconium tungstate (ZrW2O8)‐based nanomaterials in the polymer matrix is a limiting factor in their successful applications, and studies on surface functionalization ZrW2O8 for advanced nanocomposites are very limited. In this work, ZrW2O8 nano‐rods were synthesized using a hydrothermal method and subsequently functionalized in a solvent‐free aqueous medium using dopamine. Both pristine and functionalized nano‐rods were thoroughly characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, X‐ray diffraction, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and transmission electron microscopy techniques, which confirmed the successful functionalization of the nanomaterials. Polymer nanocomposites were also prepared using epoxy resin as a model matrix. Polymer nanocomposites with functionalized ZrW2O8 nano‐rods exhibited low coefficient of thermal expansion and enhanced tensile properties. A palladium-catalyzed asymmetric [4+2] cycloaddition of 2-methylidenetrimethylene carbonate with alkenes derived from pyrazolones, indandione, or barbiturate has been successfully developed, affording pharmacologically interesting chiral tetrahydropyran-fused spirocyclic scaffolds. The target compounds were generated in good to excellent yields and with high enantioselectivity (up to 99 % ee). Furthermore, this cycloaddition reaction could be efficiently scaled up, and several synthetic transformations were accomplished for the construction of other useful chiral spiropyrazolone and spiroindandione derivatives. 相似文献

Double hydrophilic brush copolymer poly(ethylene oxide)-graft-poly(N,N-dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate) (PEO-g-PDMAEMA) was successfully prepared via atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP). We investigated the pH/thermoresponsive behaviors of PEO-g-PDMAEMA brush-shaped copolymer concentrated aqueous solutions by rheology. The observed LCST strongly decreased with increasing pH of the solutions, which was lower than that of linear block copolymer for different pH, indicating rapid thermoresponsiveness of the brush PDMAEMA chains. An unexpected shear thickening behavior was observed and could be tuned by the pH, resulting from the mobile nature and tractive force of the densely grafted hydrophobic chains of PDMAEMA at high pH. Self-assembly of the brush copolymer in a different pH and ionic strength environment was studied by transmission electron microscopy. A wormlike cylinder structure was formed at low pH. Fractals were observed for the brush copolymer aqueous solution in the presence of NaCl. The results showed that by adjusting the pH and NaCl concentration of the dispersions fractal aggregates with different topology were obtained. The observations reported here can supply a better understanding of the molecular self-assembling nature and be used to develop responsive materials with better performance. 相似文献

The laser produced plasma in air by Q-switch Nd:YAG pulses with 50 mJ and 7 ns was analyzed using Mach-Zehnder interferometer. The interferograms were taken at various delay times after single pulses induced gas breakdown. The 3D electron density distribution at early times of the plasma is investigated. To determine the 3D electron density distribution of the plasma, the FFT analysis is applied to extract the phase of the reconstructed interferograms and the numerical inverse Abel transformation is used to calculate the refractive index. The results provide an understanding of the electron density temporal and spatial evolution of laser induced plasma in air from 18 ns and up to 100 ns of plasma lifetime. 相似文献
