Ultra-bright and high-coherence X-rays are now being used in synchrotron radiation facilities and X-ray free electron laser facilities. X-ray focusing techniques are essential to take full advantage of these excellent X-ray light sources. To meet the strong demand, high-quality X-ray focusing optics have been developed owing to the advancement of ultraprecision machining and measurement. State-of-the-art refractive lenses [1 C.G. Schroer, Applied Physics Letters 87, 124103 (2005).[Crossref], [Web of Science ®] [Google Scholar]], zone plates [2 T. The ground state of the frustrated equilateral triangular spin tube CsCrF4 is still hidden behind a veil though NMR spectrum broaden into 2 T at low temperature. In order to investigate the spin structure in an ordered state by 19F-NMR, we have determined the anisotropic hyperfine coupling tensors for each three fluorine sites in the paramagnetic state. The measurement field was raised up to 10 T to achieve highest resolution. The preliminary analysis using the obtained hyperfine tensors has shown that the archetypal 120°-type structure in ab-plane does not accord with the NMR spectra of ordered state.  相似文献

A neutron beam line for multiple prompt gamma-ray analysis was constructed at the Japan Atomic Energy Agency. A detector system for the MPGA was constructed at the C2-3-2 beam line in January 2005. It comprised eight (upgraded in March 2007) clover Ge detectors with a BGO Compton suppressor. High efficiency detector system provides an advantage in terms of the detection limit of MPGA when compared to the result of PGA. The supermirror neutron bender was improved and a supermirror neutron guide was installed upstream of the sample position.  相似文献

Apoptosis is an important cell death system that deletes damaged and mutated cells to prevent cancer. We have previously reported that a certain dose of UVB irradiation inhibited the apoptosis induced by serum starvation and cell detachment, leading to cell transformation. This antiapoptotic effect was partially inhibited by phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3-kinase) inhibitors. UVB irradiation is known to cause the phosphorylation of Akt via the activation of PI3-kinase; however, the Akt isoform-specific relationship has not yet been clarified. Notably, the role in antiapoptotic effect of UVB has yet to be elucidated. In this study, the role of Akt1 in the UVB-induced inhibition of apoptosis was examined by Akt1 knockdown using small interfering RNA (siRNA). NIH3T3 cells showed typical apoptotic cell death by serum starvation and cell detachment, which was significantly inhibited by UVB irradiation. Akt1 knockdown decreased the antiapoptotic effect of UVB. Hydrogen peroxide-induced suppression of cell death was also decreased in Akt1 knockdown cells. An antioxidant, N-acetylcysteine, inhibited the antiapoptotic effect by UVB irradiation, whereas no inhibition was observed in Akt1 knockdown cells. Furthermore, UVB-induced intracellular peroxidation was not observed in the knockdown cells, indicating that Akt1 played an important role in mediating the intracellular redox status. Treatment with insulin had a similar antiapoptotic effect as UVB irradiation involving intracellular peroxidation, which was also attenuated in Akt1 knockdown cells. These findings suggest that appropriate intracellular oxidation after UVB irradiation prevented apoptosis, a process which might be partially regulated by the production of reactive oxygen species mediated by Akt1.  相似文献

Total synthesis of pyranicin and its deoxygenated analogues was achieved using Cl2Pd(CH3CN)2 catalyzed diastereoselective cyclization of the allylic ester as the key step. The inhibitory activity of these compounds for mitochondrial NADH-ubiquinone oxidoreductase (complex I) was poorer than those of ordinary mono-THF acetogenins such as annonacin.  相似文献

An interconversion system between imidazolium and imidazolinium has been proposed for the first time. Imidazolium and imidazolinium cations exhibit different reactivity due to the difference in the aromaticity and charge localization structure, which is successfully controlled by means of photoirradiation in the present system. A 4,5-dithiazolylimidazolium salt was prepared and studied as a new class of photochromic materials modulating electrostatic interactions and chemical reactivities. The photochromic 4,5-dithiazolylimidazolium showed reversible photoconversions between imidazolium open-form and imidazolinium closed-form upon successive irradiation with UV and visible light. The imidazolinium closed-form exhibited characteristic solvato- and ionochromisms in which the absorption maximum shifted by more than 80 nm depending on the solvent polarity and counteranions, whereas the imidazolium open-form showed no such solvent-dependent property. Because the corresponding nonionic 4,5-dithiazolylimidazole also did not exhibit the solvent-dependent absorption profile both in open- and closed-forms, the appearance of these chromisms in imidazolinium closed-form was attributed to the change in the extent of ionic interaction, which was brought about by the photoconversion of imidazolium to imidazolinium. The photoderived strong ionic interaction of imidazolinium with counteranion was further applied to the photocontrolled nucleophilic reaction system. Whereas the imidazolium open-form was inert to nucleophiles such as sodium methoxide, the imidazolinium closed-form was reactive to the nucleophilic reaction, demonstrating a photogated reaction system.  相似文献
