The total synthesis of (±)-3β-hydroxy-9β-pimara-7,15-diene (1), a putative biosynthetic intermediate of the momilactones, was accomplished stereoselectively. Our methodology for the synthesis of 1 featured the stereoselective construction of the C-13 quaternary carbon center via the aldol-Tishchenko reaction. 3β-Hydroxy-9β-pimara-7,15-diene (1) was identified by full-scan GC-MS analysis as an endogenous compound in elicited rice cells.  相似文献

The 1:1 ion-pair formation constants (K IP) of tetraalkylammonium (Me4N+, Et4N+, Pr4N+, Bu4N+, and Bu3MeN+) picrates in water were determined by capillary electrophoresis at 25°C. The ion-pair extraction constants (K ex,ip) of the picrates from water to m-xylene were determined by a batch-extraction method at 25°C, and the distribution constants (K D) of the neutral ion-pairs were calculated from the relationship K D = Kex,ip/K IP. The tetraalkylammonium ion having more methylene groups generally forms a slightly more stable ion-pair with the picrate ion in water, which is attributed to the lower hydration of the cation. For Me4N+, Et4N+, Pr4N+, and Bu4N+, the distribution of the ion pair into m-xylene increases in that order, and a linear relationship was found between log K D and the number of methylene groups in the cation. This is consistently explained by the regular solution theory. It was also revealed that the ion pairs have a strong specific interaction with water. The ion pair of Bu3MeN+ has a higher distribution constant than that expected from the relationship between log K D and the number of methylene groups for the symmetrical tetraalkylammonium ions. The cation dependence of the ion pair extractability is mostly governed by that of the distribution of the ion pair.  相似文献

Stability constants K ML for the 1:1 complexes of Na+, K+, Rb+, and Cs+ with dibenzo-24-crown-8 (DB24C8) and dibenzo-18-crown-6 (DB18C6) in water have been determined by a capillary electrophoretic technique at 25°C. The K ML sequence is Na+ < K+ < Rb+ < Cs+ for DB24C8 and Na+ < K+ > Rb+ > Cs+ for DB18C6. Compared with DB18C6, DB24C8 exhibits higher selectivity for K+ over Na+, but lower selectivity for K+, Rb+, and Cs+. To evaluate the solvation of the complexes in water, their transfer activity coefficients sH2O between polar nonaqueous solvents and water have been calculated. The sH2O values provide the following information: interactions with water of the metal ions and of the crown-ether oxygens are greatly reduced upon complexation and the complexes undergo hydrophobic hydration in water; the character of each alkali metal ion in solvation is more effectively masked by DB24C8 than by DB18C6, because of the larger and more flexible ring structure of DB24C8. Solvent effects on the complex stabilities are discussed on the basis of the sH2O values.  相似文献

The synthesis and “living” cationic polymerization of 3-fluoro-4′-(11-vinyloxyundecany-loxy)-4-biphenylyl (2R,3S)-2-fluoro-3-methylpentanoate ( 12-11 ) and 3-fluoro-4′-(8-vi-nyloxyoctyloxy)-4-biphenylyl (2R,3S)-2-fluoro-3-methylpentanoate ( 12-8 ) are presented. Poly ( 12-11 )s and poly ( 12-8 )s with degrees of polymerization from 4.0 to 16.5 and poly-dispersities ≤ 1.13 have been synthesized and characterized by differential scanning cal-orimetry (DSC) and thermal optical polarized microscopy. Over the entire range of molecular weights poly ( 12-11 )s and poly ( 12-8 )s exhibit an enantiotropic SA and an unidentified SX phase. In addition, regardless of its molecular weight, poly ( 12-8 ) exhibits a S*c phase in between the SA and Sx phases. Poly ( 12-11 ) and poly ( 12-8 ) show lower transition tem-peratures and broader temperature ranges of all their mesophases as compared to the corresponding polymers without a fluorine atom on the biphenyl group. The role of the connecting group between the biphenyl and chiral group of the mesogenic unit on the phase behavior of these polymers is also discussed. Copolymers of 12-8 with (2R,3S)-2-fluoro-3-methylpentyl 4′-(11-vinyloxyundecanyloxy)biphenyl-4-carboxylate ( 13-11 ) {i.e., poly-[( 12-8 )-co-( 13-11 )] (X/Y), where X/Y represents the molar ratio of monomer 12-8 to monomer 13-11 } with DP of ca. 11 and polydispersities lower than 1.23 were also syn-thesized and characterized. Their SA and S*c mesophases exhibit continuous dependences of composition and this support the assignment of the mesophases exhibited by poly ( 12-8 ). © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

To quantitatively elucidate the effects of the side chains and diluents on the extraction selectivity for sodium and potassium picrates of 15-(2,5-dioxahexyl)-15-methyl-16-crown-5 (L16C5) from the viewpoint of equilibrium, the constants for the overall extraction (K(ex)), the partition for various diluents of low dielectric constants (K(D,MLA)), and the aqueous ion-pair formation (K(MLA)) of L16C5-sodium and -potassium picrate 1:1:1 complexes were determined at 25 degrees C; the distribution constants of L16C5 were also measured at 25 degrees C. The log K(MLA) values for Na(+) and K(+) are 2.74+/-0.29 and 1.70+/-0.36, respectively. In going from 16-crown-5 (16C5) to L16C5, the side chains decrease the K(MLA) value, but do not increase the difference in K(MLA) between Na(+) and K(+). The distribution behavior of L16C5 and its 1:1:1 complexes with the alkali metal picrates closely obeys regular solution theory, except for chloroform. Molar volumes and solubility parameters of L16C5 and the 1:1:1 complexes were determined. The magnitude of K(ex) is mainly governed by the K(M(L16C5)A) value. For every diluent, L16C5 shows Na(+) extraction selectivity over K(+). The Na(+) extraction selectivity of L16C5 is determined completely by K(M(L16C5)A). The extraction ability and selectivity for sodium and potassium picrates by L16C5 are compared with those of 16C5 on the basis of the fundamental equilibrium constants.  相似文献

Ion-pair formation constants (mol–1 dm3 unit), KMX for a univalent metal salt (MX) and KMLX for its ion-pair complex (ML+X) with a crown ether (L) in water, were determined at various ionic strengths (I) and 25°C by potentiometry with ion-selective electrodes for MX=NaPic, NaMnO4, NaBPh4, KPic, and KMnO4; and MLX=Na(18C6)Pic, K(18C6)Pic, and Na(18C6)BPh4, where Pic and 18C6 denote a picrate ion and 18-crown-6 ether, respectively. Equations for analyzing I-dependence of logKMLX and logKMX were derived and fitted well to the I-dependence using a non-linear regression analysis. The equilibrium constants at I=0 mol dm–3, KMLX° and KMX°, were simultaneously obtained from the analysis. The experimental values of KMLX and KMX were only in agreement with the values calculated from KMLX° and KMX°, respectively, in the ranges of higher I.  相似文献

Crystal growth of GaAs layers and InAs quantum dots (QDs) on the GaAs layers was investigated on Ge/Si substrates using ultrahigh vacuum chemical vapor deposition. Ga-rich GaAs with anti-site Ga atoms grown at a low V/III ratio was found to suppress the diffusion of Ge into GaAs. S-K mode QD formation was observed on GaAs layers grown on Ge/Si substrates with Ga-rich GaAs initial layers, and improved photoluminescence from 1.3 μm-emitting InAs QDs was demonstrated.  相似文献
