The transition path sampling (TPS) method is a powerful approach to study chemical reactions or transitional properties on complex potential energy landscapes. One of the main advantages of the method over potential of mean force methods is that reaction rates can be directly accessed without knowledge of the exact reaction coordinate. We have investigated the complementary nature of these two differing approaches, comparing transition path sampling with the weighted histogram analysis method to study a conformational change in a small model system. In this case study, the transition paths for a transition between two rotational conformers of a model disaccharide molecule, methyl beta-D-maltoside, were compared with a free energy surface constrained by the two commonly used glycosidic (phi,psi) torsional angles. The TPS method revealed a reaction channel that was not apparent from the potential of mean force method, and the suitability of phi and psi as reaction coordinates to describe the isomerization in vacuo was confirmed by examination of the transition path ensemble. Using both transition state theory and transition path sampling methods, the transition rate was estimated. We have estimated a characteristic time between transitions of approximately 160 ns for this rare isomerization event between the two conformations of the carbohydrate. We conclude that transition path sampling can extract subtle information about the dynamics not apparent from the potential of mean force method. However, in calculating the reaction rate, the transition path sampling method required 27.5 times the computational effort than was needed by the potential of mean force method.  相似文献

A highly efficient synthesis of the potent and selective NK-1 receptor antagonist 1 is described. The key transformation involved the etherification reaction between cyclopentanol 12 and chiral imidate 30 which was catalyzed by HBF4 to initially give ether 14 as a 17:1 mixture of diastereomers and in 75% combined yield. The diastereoselectivity was upgraded to 109:1 by crystallization of the triethylamine solvate 44 which was isolated in 54% yield from 12. Mechanistic studies confirmed that the etherification reaction proceeds through an unprecedented S(N)2 reaction pathway under typical S(N)1 reaction conditions.  相似文献

We construct infinite dimensional spectral triples associated with representations of the super-Virasoro algebra. In particular the irreducible, unitary positive energy representation of the Ramond algebra with central charge c and minimal lowest weight h = c/24 is graded and gives rise to a net of even θ-summable spectral triples with non-zero Fredholm index. The irreducible unitary positive energy representations of the Neveu-Schwarz algebra give rise to nets of even θ-summable generalised spectral triples where there is no Dirac operator but only a superderivation.  相似文献

In a recent paper we studied general properties of super-KMS functionals on graded quantum dynamical systems coming from graded translation-covariant quantum field nets over ${\mathbb{R}}$ , and we carried out a detailed analysis of these objects on certain models of superconformal nets. In the present article, we show that these locally bounded functionals give rise to local-entire cyclic cocycles (generalized JLO cocycles) which are homotopy-invariant for a suitable class of perturbations of the dynamical system. Thus we can associate meaningful noncommutative geometric invariants to those graded quantum dynamical systems.  相似文献

Deprotonation of O‐allyl, O‐propargyl or O‐benzyl carbamates in the presence of a lithium counterion leads to carbamate‐stabilised organolithium compounds that may be quenched with electrophiles. We now report that when the allylic, propargylic or benzylic carbamate bears an N‐aryl substituent, an aryl migration takes place, leading to stereochemical inversion and C‐arylation of the carbamate α to oxygen. The aryl migration is an intramolecular SNAr reaction, despite the lack of anion‐stabilising aryl substituents. Our in situ IR studies reveal a number of intermediates along the rearrangement pathway, including a “pre‐lithiation complex,” the deprotonated carbamate, the rearranged anion, and the final arylated carbamate. No evidence was obtained for a dearomatised intermediate during the aryl migration. DFT calculations predict that during the reaction the solvated Li cation moves from the carbanion centre, thus freeing its lone pair for nucleophilic attack on the remote phenyl ring. This charge separation leads to several alternative conformations. The one having Li+ bound to the carbamate oxygen gives rise to the lowest‐energy transition structure, and also leads to inversion of the configuration. In agreement with the IR studies, the DFT calculations fail to locate a dearomatised intermediate.  相似文献

Adventitious hydrolysis of a number of different complexes with the molecular formula Ln(Tp(Me2))(2)X [Tp(Me2) = (HB(dmpz)(3)), where X is a basic anionic ligand] in various solvents, yielded crystals of highly insoluble dimers of the general formula [Ln(Tp(Me2))(mu-BOp(Me2))](2) (1) [Ln = La, Ce, Sm; BOp(Me2) = (HBO(dmpz)(2))(2)(-); dmpzH = 3,5-dimethylpyrazole]. The results of several single-crystal X-ray determinations are reported. One metal nitrogen distance, that lying across from the two negatively charged bridging oxygen atoms, is 0.06 A longer than the others, suggesting an unusual trans influence at a lanthanide center. The formation of 1 is proposed to involve the intermediacy of Ln(Tp(Me2))(2)OH formed by protonolysis with adventitious water.  相似文献
