We argue that the emission of hadrons with transverse momentum up to about 5 GeV/c in central relativistic heavy ion collisions is dominated by recombination, rather than fragmentation of partons. This mechanism provides a natural explanation for the observed constant baryon-to-meson ratio of about one and the apparent lack of a nuclear suppression of the baryon yield in this momentum range. Fragmentation becomes dominant at higher transverse momentum, but the transition point is delayed by the energy loss of fast partons in dense matter. 相似文献

A new configuration is proposed for continuously transforming aspect ratios of field-intensity distributions in optical fibers. The field aspect ratio varies in proportion to the angle between the principal axes of two cascaded graded-index oval-core fibers. The highest aspect-ratio conversion is obtained at an angle of 90 degrees. The conversion effect is numerically and experimentally confirmed, showing that a circular field is successfully transformed into an elliptical one with an aspect ratio as high as 9 at a wavelength of 0.98 microm. 相似文献

The effects of ultrasonication on the chemical polymerization of aniline leading to the formation of conducting polyaniline colloids were examined. The formation rate of the colloids was significantly increased under ultrasonication. Furthermore, it was also observed that the morphological structure of the colloids thus prepared was greatly affected by the sonication. The polyaniline colloids were further characterized by a range of techniques including electric resistance meter, gel permeation chromatography, FT-IR and cyclic voltammetry. It is noteworthy that the application of ultrasound to the polymerization resulted in a marked increase in the doping level, which reflected to the high electroconductivity of polyaniline colloids. 相似文献

The fine texture and molecular motion in rolled (draw ratios λ = 2, λ = 5), cold-drawn (λ = 6), and hot-drawn (λ = 6), linear polyethylene (Sholex 6050) films were studied by small-angle x-ray scattering, wide-line nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and dynamic viscoelastic measurements. NMR spectra of the rolled (λ = 5) and cold-drawn samples show a small narrow component at room temperature. For these cold-deformed samples, a gradual decrease in the second moment is observed well below the α relaxation temperature and a new relaxation appears in the same temperature region in the logarithmic decrement versus temperature. This relaxation is absent in the original and hot-drawn samples. It is concluded that the new relaxation arises from molecular motion in intermediate regions where molecular chains are less mobile than in the amorphous state. 相似文献

Thermosensitive polymer hydrogels were prepared by the copolymerization of three kinds of acryloyloxyethyl trialkyl phosphonium chlorides (AETRs) with alkyl chains of different lengths, with N‐isopropyl acrylamide (NIPAAm) and N,N′‐methylenebisacrylamide (MBAAm). The water content of the AETR–NIPAAm–MBAAm terpolymers obtained at molar ratios of the crosslinking agent greater than 2 decreased with increasing temperature and decreased sharply around 35 °C. However, the water contents of the AETR–NIPAAm–MBAAm (X/100/1) terpolymers obtained at a molar ratio of 1 of the crosslinking agent increased once with increasing temperature and then decreased from 3 to around 40 °C. The water contents of the AETR–NIPAAm–MBAAm (3/100/1 or 2) terpolymers decreased with the increasing length of alkyl chains in phosphonium groups in the terpolymers. The water contents of the AETR–NIPAAm–MBAAm terpolymers increased by the addition of a small amount of urea and then decreased with increasing urea concentration. However, the water contents decreased abruptly with the addition of NaCl. Novel anthranilic acid derivatives having substituted N-acyl side chains were designed and synthesized for evaluation as plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1) inhibitors. Compounds with a 4-diphenylmethyl-1-piperazinyl moiety on the acyl side chains in general exhibited potent in vitro PAI-1 inhibitory activity and good pharmacokinetic profiles after oral administration in rats.
