A morphological analysis is presented for Langmuir films of the diazo dyes Sudan 4 (S4), Sudan 3 (S3), and Sudan red (SR), using Brewster angle microscopy. Stable nonmonomolecular structures are formed at the air-water interface denoted as a plateau in the pressure-area isotherms. Monolayer domains are evident by the contrastless image even before the pressure onset, which grow in size until it reached a condensed monolayer. This behavior resembles that of Langmuir films from simple aromatic fatty acids. Films from all the azo dyes display similar features, according to the surface potential isotherms and in situ polarized UV/vis spectroscopy except for the larger area per molecule occupied by S4 and SR. This is attributed to the presence of CH(3) groups that cause steric hindrance modifying the organization of diazo dye molecules at the air-water interface. UV/vis polarized absorption spectroscopy showed preferential orientation of S4 and S3 on the water surface, while SR molecules lie isotropically. For these three diazo dyes, film absorption was negligible at very large areas per molecule, becoming nonzero only at a critical area coinciding with the onset of surface potential. The critical area is ascribed to the formation of a H-bonded network between water molecules and diazo dye headgroups. 相似文献

Six new ent-kaurane-type diterpenoids were isolated from the leaves of the endemic Vietnamese medicinal plant Croton tonkinensis GAGNEP. (Euphorbiaceae) together with three known ent-11alpha-acetoxy-7beta,14alpha-dihydroxykaur-16-en-15-one (1), ent-kaur-16-en-15-one 18-oic acid (5) and ent-18-hydroxykaur-16-ene (7). Their structures were determined by spectroscopic analyses to be ent-7beta-acetoxy-11alpha-hydroxykaur-16-en-15-one (2), ent-18-acetoxy-11alpha-hydroxykaur-16-en-15-one (3), ent-11alpha-acetoxykaur-16-en-18-oic acid (4), ent-15alpha,18-dihydroxykaur-16-ene (6), ent-11alpha,18-diacetoxy-7beta-hydroxykaur-16-en-15-one (8), and ent-(16S)-1alpha,14alpha-diacetoxy-7beta-hydroxy-17-methoxykauran-15-one (14). ent-Kaurane-type diterpenoids from Croton tonkinensis 2-4, 6, and 9-13, were tested for toxicity in the brine shrimp lethality assay. Kinetically stabilized 2‐lithio‐1‐(2,4,6‐tri‐t‐butylphenyl)‐1‐phosphapropene was allowed to react with a bulky phosphaalkyne Mes*CP (Mes* = 2,4,6‐t‐Bu3C6H2) followed by quenching with iodomethane or benzyl bromide to give the corresponding 1,3‐diphosphabuta‐1,3‐dienes. The presence of the bulky Mes* group on the 1‐phosphorus atom prevents intramolecular [2+2] cyclization and gave the PC PC skeleton, whereas Mes*CP reacted with half an equivalent of nucleophile to afford the PCPC four‐membered ring compounds. Intramolecular pi-pi and CH-pi interactions between the bpy and PR3 ligands of fac-[Re(bpy)(CO)3(PR3)]+ affect their structure, and electrochemical and spectroscopic properties. Intramolecular CH-pi interaction was observed between the alkyl groups on the phosphine ligand (R =nBu, Et) and the bpy ligand, and intramolecular pi-pi and CH-pi interactions were both observed between the aryl group(s) on the phosphorus ligand (R =p-MeOPh, p-MePh, Ph, p-FPh, OPh) and the bpy ligand, while no such interactions were found in the trialkylphosphite complexes (R = OiPr, OEt, OMe). The intramolecular interactions distort the pyridine rings of the bpy ligand as long as 3.7 x 10(-2)A in crystals. Molecular orbital calculations of the bpy ligand suggest that this distortion decreases the energy gap between its pi and pi* orbitals. An absorption band attributed to the pi-pi*(bpy) transition of the distorted rhenium complexes, measured in a KBr pellet, was red-shifted by 1-5 nm compared to the complexes without the distorted bpy ligand. Even in solution, similar red shifts of the pi-pi*(bpy) absorption were observed. The redox potential E1/2(bpy/bpy*-) of the complexes with the trialkylphosphine and triarylphosphine ligand are shifted positively by 110-120 mV and 60-80 mV respectively, compared with those derived from the electron-attracting property of the phosphorus ligand. In contrast with these properties, three nu(CO) IR bands, which are sensitive to the electron density on the central rhenium because of pi-back bonding, were shifted to higher energy, and a Re(I/II)-based oxidation wave was observed at a more positive potential according to the electron-attracting property of the phosphorus ligand. 相似文献

Well‐defined A3B‐, A2B2‐, and AB3‐type 4‐miktoarm star copolymers (Mn = 10,500–16,200, Mw/Mn = 1.16–1.18) consisting of poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) and polymethacrylate bearing an azobenzene mesogen (PMA(Az)) as the arms and cyclotetrasiloxane as the core unit were synthesized using a combined route composed of a thiol‐ene click reaction and atom transfer radical polymerization. Microphase‐separated structures of the star copolymers in thin films with a thickness of approximately 100 nm were investigated by GISAXS and TEM. The A3B‐type star‐(PEO)3[PMA(Az)]1 copolymer formed a more highly ordered PEO cylinder array with perpendicular alignment in the PMA(Az) matrix than that of the corresponding linear‐type block copolymer. The center‐to‐center distance of the PEO cylinders and the cylinder diameter were 13 and 4 nm, respectively. The photophysical properties and photoswitching scheme of the reversible photoswitchable green fluorescent protein-like fluorescent proteins Dronpa-2 and Dronpa-3 were investigated by means of ensemble and single-molecule fluorescence spectroscopy and compared to those of the precursor protein Dronpa. The faster response to light and the faster dark recovery of the new mutants observed in bulk also hold at the single-molecule level. Analysis of the single-molecule traces allows us to extract the efficiencies and rate constants of the pathways involved in the forward and backward switching, and we find important differences when comparing the mutants to Dronpa. We rationalize our results in terms of a higher conformational freedom of the chromophore in the protein environment provided by the beta-can. This thorough understanding of the photophysical parameters has allowed us to optimize the acquisition parameters for camera-based sub-diffraction-limit imaging with these photochromic proteins. We show that Dronpa and its mutants are useful for fast photoactivation-localization microscopy (PALM) using common wide-field microscopy equipment, as individual fluorescent proteins can be localized several times. We provide a new approach to achieve fast PALM by introducing simultaneous two-color stroboscopic illumination. 相似文献

A novel method of laser-induced plasma spectroscopy utilizing a pulsed transversely excited atmospheric CO2 laser has been developed for the high-sensitivity determination of heavy metals in soil. A coarse metal powder was used to trap the soil and to assist with plasma generation. When the CO2 laser (10.6?µm, 1.5?J, 200?ns) was irradiated on the metal and soil powder, a high-temperature and long-lifetime luminous plasma was induced. Fine particles of soil were dissociated and were excited in the plasma region. The method was used for the rapid determination of Cr, Pb, and Hg in loam. The limits of detection for Cr, Pb, and Hg were approximately 0.8, 15, and 0.7?mg/kg, respectively. 相似文献

Efficient activation of CO2 at low temperature was achieved by reverse water–gas shift via chemical looping (RWGS-CL) by virtue of fast oxygen ion migration in a Cu–In structured oxide, even at lower temperatures. Results show that a novel Cu–In2O3 structured oxide can show a remarkably higher CO2 splitting rate than ever reported. Various analyses revealed that RWGS-CL on Cu–In2O3 is derived from redox between Cu–In2O3 and Cu–In alloy. Key factors for high CO2 splitting rate were fast migration of oxide ions in the alloy and the preferential oxidation of the interface of alloy–In2O3 in the bulk of the particles. The findings reported herein can open up new avenues to achieve effective CO2 conversion at lower temperatures.Efficient activation of CO2 at low temperature was achieved by reverse water–gas shift via chemical looping (RWGS-CL) by virtue of fast oxygen ion migration in a Cu–In structured oxide, even at lower temperatures. 相似文献
