A method for the voltammetric determination of vanadium using a carbon paste electrode (CPE) was described. The new procedure is based on the adsorptive accumulation of the V(V)‐alizarin red S(ARS) complex onto the surface of the CPE, followed by the electrochemical reduction of adsorbed species. The optimal experimental conditions include the use of 0.10 mol/L acetate buffer (pH 5.1), 1.0×10?5 mol/L ARS, an accumulation potential of ?0.10 V (versus SCE), an accumulation time of 2 min, a scan rate of 200 mV/s and a second‐order derivative linear scan mode. The reduction peak for the complex appears at ?0.52 V. The peak current is proportional to the concentration of V(V) over the range of 0.10–15.0 μg/L, and the detection limit is 0.04 μg/L for a 2 min adsorption time. The relative standard deviations(n=8) for 2.0 and 0.50 μg/L V(V) are 3.1 and 4.7%, respectively. The proposed method was applied to the determination of vanadium in water samples. 相似文献

Drought tolerance is an important breeding objective in dry and semi-dry conditions. Carbon isotope discrimination (Delta) is a tool that may be used to improve water-use efficiency (WUE) as an indirect selection criterion. The study investigated the variability for Delta in improved F7 lines and their parents (three cultivars and two mutant lines), which were sampled randomly from an F6 nursery performing well under semi-dry conditions. In total, 40 entries were grown in sand culture, arranged in three-replicated randomized complete block designs in two sets of experiments in Antalya, Turkey. There were statistically significant differences (p<0.01) among genotypes in both sets of experiments for Delta, and Delta values range from 20.14 to 21.86. Low coefficient of variation (C.V.) values, i.e. 2 and 1.65 %, for both data sets revealed efficient control of experimental error for Delta and indicated little effect of environment. Consequently, broad-sense heritability estimates for Delta were 0.63 and 0.74. As Delta showed a considerably high heritability and consistency over the two sets of experiments and low C.V. values, it was concluded that this trait could be used in breeding programmes aimed at developing drought tolerance lines. The early heading mutant, M-K-88, and the cultivar selected from land race, Tokak 157-37, showed lowest Delta values, indicating that they had the best water-use efficiency. The decay channel J/psi --> gamma(pi)(+)pi(-)eta is analyzed using a sample of 5.8 x 10(7) J/psi events collected with the BESII detector. A resonance, the Chi(1835), is observed in the pi(+)pi(-)eta invariant-mass spectrum with a statistical significance of 7.7 sigma. A fit with a Breit-Wigner function yields a mass M = 1833.7 +/- 6.1(stat) +/- 2.7(syst) MeV/c(2), a width Tau = 67.7 +/- 20.3(stat) +/- 7.7(syst) MeV/c(2), and a product branching fraction B(J/psi --> gammaChi) . B(Chi --> pi(+)pi(-)eta) = [2.2 +/- 0.4(stat) +/- 0.4(syst)] x 10(-4). The mass and width of the Chi(1835) are not compatible with any known meson resonance. Its properties are consistent with expectations for the state that produces the strong pp mass threshold enhancement observed in the J/psi --> gammapp process at BESII. 相似文献

A reconstruction algorithm for multiwavelength diffuse optical tomography is presented, where instead of using data at each wavelength separately or even simultaneously, the difference in data for multiple wavelength pairs is used to reconstruct absolute concentration maps of chromophores. The results indicate a dramatic improvement in image reconstruction and the elimination of image artifacts, which are often associated with unknown measurement errors such as coupling coefficients and external boundary variations, because these errors are often less dependent on wavelength, and are effectively removed from the data set of the first derivative of intensity with respect to wavelength. 相似文献

Because of the absence of methods for tracking RNA G‐quadruplex dynamics, especially the folding and unfolding of this attractive structure in live cells, understanding of the biological roles of RNA G‐quadruplexes is so far limited. Herein, we report a new red‐emitting fluorescent probe, QUMA‐1 , for the selective, continuous, and real‐time visualization of RNA G‐quadruplexes in live cells. The applications of QUMA‐1 in several previously intractable applications, including live‐cell imaging of the dynamic folding, unfolding, and movement of RNA G‐quadruplexes and the visualization of the unwinding of RNA G‐quadruplexes by RNA helicase have been demonstrated. Notably, our real‐time results revealed the complexity of the dynamics of RNA G‐quadruplexes in live cells. We anticipate that the further application of QUMA‐1 in combination with appropriate biological and imaging methods to explore the dynamics of RNA G‐quadruplexes will uncover more information about the biological roles of RNA G‐quadruplexes. 相似文献

A method for site‐specific intermolecular γ‐C(sp3)?H functionalization of ketones has been developed using an α‐aminoxy acid auxiliary applying photoredox catalysis. Regioselective activation of an inert C?H bond is achieved by 1,5‐hydrogen atom abstraction by an oxidatively generated iminyl radical. Tertiary and secondary C‐radicals thus formed at the γ‐position of the imine functionality undergo radical conjugate addition to various Michael acceptors to provide, after reduction and imine hydrolysis, the corresponding γ‐functionalized ketones. 相似文献
