We consider gapped systems governed by either quantum or Markov dynamics, with the low-lying states below the gap being approximately degenerate. For a broad class of dynamics, we prove that ground or stationary state correlation functions can be written as a piece decaying exponentially in space plus a term set by matrix elements between the low-lying states. The key to the proof is a local approximation to the negative energy, or annihilation, part of an operator in a gapped system. Applications to numerical simulation of quantum systems and to networks are discussed. 相似文献

The B meson decay modes B-->Dpp; and B-->D(*)pp; have been studied using 29.4 fb(-1) of data collected with the Belle detector at KEKB. The B;(0)-->D(0)pp; and B;(0)-->D(*0)pp; decays have been observed for the first time with branching fractions B(B;(0)-->D(0)pp;)=(1.18+/-0.15+/-0.16)x10(-4) and B(B;(0)-->D(*0)pp;)=(1.20(+0.33)(-0.29)+/-0.21)x10(-4). No signal has been found for the B+-->D(+)pp; and B+-->D(*+)pp; decay modes, and the corresponding upper limits at 90% C.L. are presented. 相似文献

The lifetimes of the B(0) and B- mesons are extracted from 29.1 fb(-1) of data collected with the Belle detector at the KEK B factory. A fit to the decay length differences of neutral and charged B meson pairs, measured in events where one of the B mesons is fully reconstructed in several hadronic modes, yields tau(B(0)) = 1.554+/-0.030(stat)+/-0.019(syst) ps, tau(B-) = 1.695+/-0.026(stat)+/-0.015(syst) ps, and tau(B-)/tau(B(0)) = 1.091+/-0.023(stat)+/-0.014(syst). 相似文献

We report the first observation of chi(c2) production in B meson decays. We find an inclusive B-->chi(c2)X branching fraction of (1.80(+0.23)(-0.28)+/-0.26) x 10(-3). The data set, collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB e(+)e(-) collider, consists of 31.9 x 10(6) BB events. We report observations of the Cabibbo suppressed decays B-->D((*))K- using a 10.4 fb(-1) data sample accumulated at the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB e(+)e(-) storage ring. We find that the ratios of Cabibbo suppressed to Cabibbo favored branching fractions are B(B--->D0K-)/B(B--->D0pi(-)) = 0.079+/-0.009+/-0.006, B(B(0)-->D+K-)/B(B(0)-->D+pi(-)) = 0.068+/-0.015+/-0.007, B(B--->D(*0)K-)/B(B--->D(*0)pi(-)) = 0.078+/-0.019+/-0.009, and B(B(0)-->D(*+)K-)/B(B(0)-->D(*+)pi(-)) = 0.074+/-0.015+/-0.006. The large-N infinite-range spin glass is considered, in particular, the number of spin components k needed to form the ground state and the sample-to-sample fluctuations in the Lagrange multiplier field on each site. The physical significance of k for the correlation functions is discussed. The difference between the large-N and spherical spin glass is emphasized; a slight difference between the average Lagrange multiplier of the large-N and spherical spin glasses is derived, leading to a slight increase in the energy of the ground state compared to the naive expectation. Further, there is a change in the low-energy density of excitations in the large-N system. A form of level repulsion, similar to that found in random matrix theory, is found to exist in this system, surviving interactions. Even though the system is an interacting one, a supersymmetric formalism is developed to deal with the problem of averaging over disorder. 相似文献

Abstract Metosulam (DE-511), N-(2,6-dichloro-m-tolyl)-5,7-dimethoxy-[1,2,4] triazolo [1,5a]pynmidine-2-sulphonamide is a new selective herbicide developed for the control of broadleaf weeds in cereals and maize. The application of new generation low use rate herbicides, such as metosulam, has in turn created the need for the development of ultra-trace residue methodologies. To help investigate the environmental impact of metosulam, levels at sub-part per billion (μg/kg) in soil were determined. Application of capillary gas chromatography, with various injector systems, was unable to analyse metosulam methyl derivative due to the inherent thermal instability of the molecule. Liquid chromatography with ultraviolet detection (LC-UV) was used to quantify residues of the herbicide following a series of selective clean-up procedures. The chosen methodology used simple reagents plus standard equipment and although the molar absorbtivity of metosulam is poor, analysis of soils of various texture classes at the desired sensitivity level, was achieved. Thermospray Liquid chromatography with mass spectrometry (TSP-LC-MS) was used as a confirmatory technique for the analysis of metosulam in the same soils. Excellent agreement between the two techniques was observed. Details of the clean-up procedures used to produce desired selectivity and the relative merit of the two detection systems are discussed. 相似文献

0. These bands are separated from the rest of the spectrum and from each other by a constant gap. The width of the band originating
from the smallest eigenvalue of H
