We have searched for anomalous internal magnetic fields in highT
c materials which are predicted to occur in anyon and flux phase models of superconductivity. The magnitude, anisotropy and
temperature dependence of the observed fields inc-axis oriented samples of sintered YBa2CuO3O7 and of thick-film Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 are consistent with a conventional nuclear dipolar origin. An upper limit of ≲0.08 mT is set for any anomalous magnetic fields

The Q-value for the 129Xe(3He, d)130Cs reaction is measured to be +5 ± 20 keV. By combining this result with the known neutron separation energy of 130Xe, we derive the total decay energy of 130Cs130Xe to beQEC = 2974 ± 20 keV. This value agrees well with two previous positron end-point measurements but disagrees with the corresponding value derived from the 1977 atomic mass evaluation. This has significance in testing the accuracy of the calculated ratio for 130Cs decay. The mass excess of 130Cs is derived to be ?86908 ± 14 keV. An excited state in 130Cs. was also identified at 121 ± 15 keV with J < 3 and positive parity. The Q-value for 136Xe(3He, d)137Cs was measured to be 1918 ± 12 keV. 相似文献

We demonstrate that it is possible to identify which of these two states the system is in by means of local operations and classical communication alone. Structural phase transition in AgNO3 at high temperature is simulated by molecular dynamics. The simulations are based on the potentials calculated from the Gordon-Kim modified electron-gas formalism extended to molecular ionic crystals. Evidence for static alternating magnetic fields in the vortex cores of underdoped YBa2Cu3O6+x is reported. Muon spin rotation measurements of the internal magnetic field distribution of the vortex state of YBa2Cu3O6.50 in applied fields of H = 1 T and H = 4 T reveal a feature in the high-field tail of the field distribution which is not present in optimally doped YBa2Cu3O6.95 and which fits well to a model with static magnetic fields in the vortex cores. The magnitude of the fields is estimated to be 18(2) G and decreases above T = 10 K. We discuss possible origins of the additional vortex core magnetism within the context of existing theories. 相似文献

We present microwave and infrared measurements on SmLa0.8Sr0.2CuO4-delta, which are direct evidence for the existence of a transverse optical plasma mode, observed as a peak in the c-axis optical conductivity. This mode appears as a consequence of the existence of two different intrinsic Josephson couplings between the CuO2 layers, one with a Sm2O2 block layer, and the other one with a (La,Sr)2O2-delta block layer. From the frequencies and the intensities of the collective modes we determine the value of the compressibility of the two dimensional electron fluid in the copper oxygen planes. 相似文献

Background
The β3 subunit of the γ-aminobutyric acid type A receptor (GABAA-R) has been reported to be important for palate formation, anesthetic action, and normal nervous system function. This subunit has also been implicated in the pathogenesis of Angelman syndrome and autism spectrum disorder. To further investigate involvement of this subunit, we previously produced mice with a global knockout of β3. However, developmental abnormalities, compensation, reduced viability, and numerous behavioral abnormalities limited the usefulness of that murine model. We demonstrate controllable excitation of the center-of-mass longitudinal motion of a thermal antiproton plasma using a swept-frequency autoresonant drive. When the plasma is cold, dense, and highly collective in nature, we observe that the entire system behaves as a single-particle nonlinear oscillator, as predicted by a recent theory. In contrast, only a fraction of the antiprotons in a warm plasma can be similarly excited. Antihydrogen was produced and trapped by using this technique to drive antiprotons into a positron plasma, thereby initiating atomic recombination. 相似文献
