Crystalline Morphology and Polymorphic Phase Transitions in Electrospun Nylon 6 Nanofibers

Uniform nylon 6 nanofibers with diameters around 200 nm were prepared by electrospinning. Polymorphic phase transitions and crystal orientation of nylon 6 in unconfined (i.e., as-electrospun) and a high T(g) (340 degrees C) polyimide confined nanofibers were studied. Similar to melt-spun nylon 6 fibers, electrospun nylon 6 nanofibers also exhibited predominant, meta-stable gamma crystalline form, and the gamma-crystal (chain) axes preferentially oriented parallel to the fiber axis. Upon annealing above 150 degrees C, gamma-form crystals gradually melted and recrystallized into the thermodynamically stable alpha-form crystals, which ultimately melted at 220 degrees C. Release of surface tension accompanied this melt-recrystallization process, as revealed by differential scanning calorimetry. For confined nanofibers, both the melt-recrystallization and surface tension release processes were substantially depressed; gamma-form crystals did not melt and recrystallize into alpha-form crystals until 210 degrees C, only 10 degrees C below the T(m) at 220 degrees C. After complete melting of nano-confined crystals at 240 degrees C and recrystallization at 100 degrees C, only alpha-form crystals oriented perpendicular to the nanofiber axis were obtained. In the polyimide-confined nanofibers, the Brill transition (from the monoclinic alpha-form to a high temperature monoclinic form) was observed at 180-190 degrees C, which was at least 20 degrees C higher than that in unconfined nylon 6 at approximately 160 degrees C. This, again, was attributed to the confinement effect.     

Tetraazadibora[3, 3]paracyclophane

Starting from the para‐phenylenediamine derivative HN(SiMe₃)‐C₆H₄‐NH(SiMe₃), a lithiation and subsequent borylation give [(MeO)₂B]N(SiMe₃)‐C₆H₄‐N(SiMe₃)[B(OMe)₂] ( 1 ), the hydridation of which yields Li₂[(H₃B)N(SiMe₃)‐C₆H₄‐N(SiMe₃)(BH₃)] ( 2 ). Applying ZrCl₄ upon 2 initiates a condensation to give the title compound [‐N(SiMe₃)‐p‐C₆H₄‐N(SiMe₃)‐BH‐]₂, a hetero[3, 3]paracyclophane with two N‐B‐N chains that connect the para‐phenylene units. The product 3 crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group P2₁2₁2₁.     

On subspectral problem—benzenoid hydrocarbons with common eigenvalues ±1

Summary The method for the contraction and expansion of graphs is used to treat the subspectrality of benzenoid hydrocarbons in relation to eigenvalues ±1. Counts of benzenoid hydrocarbons together with degeneracies of eigenvalues have been carried out for all species having h 7 hexagons. In addition, twelve homologous series are evaluated, and the closed results for the distribution of eigenvalues ± 1 and degeneracies in terms of the number of repeated units are tabulated. This method is universal and applicable to cases sharing other eigenvalues and to nonbenzenoid systems.Also known as Yuan-sun Kiang

掺杂ZrO＿2的Pt／Al＿2O＿3表面氧性质及一氧化碳氧化性能研究

用ＴＰＤ－ＭＳ、ＴＰＳＲ－ＭＳ及ＣＯ氧化活性测定等方法研究了Ｐｔ／Ａｌ２Ｏ３和掺杂超细ＺｒＯ２的样品的表面氧脱出－恢复性能、ＣＯ表面氧化性能及催化氧化性能．结果表明，在Ｐｔ／Ａｌ２Ｏ３中掺杂ＺｒＯ２后，样品表面上的氧物种脱出和氧化恢复性能明显提高，脱氧量也明显增大；并发现在ＣＯ－ＴＰＳＲ过程中程脱物ＣＯ２的脱附量大小及峰顶温度次序与对ＣＯ的催化氧化活性也有一致的关系     

Fourth-derivative spectrophotometric determination of neodymium in mixed rare earths with methyl thymol blue and cetylpyridinium chloride

A sensitive and selective method is described for the determination of neodymium in mixed rare earths using fourth-derivative spectrophotometry. The method is based on the absorption spectra of 4f electron transitions of the complex of neodymium with methyl thymol blue and cetylpyridinium chloride. The influence of various instrumental parameters and reaction conditions for maximum colour development are investigated. The calibration curve is linear over the range 0–3.5 g ml^–1 neodymium. The relative standard deviation for determination of 1.4 g ml^–1 neodymium (n = 7) is 1.6%. The detection limit (signal-to-noise ratio = 3) is 0.2 g ml^–1.     

聚乙撑二氧噻吩膜在氧化态的充电过程及电容研究

In this paper, the chronoamperometry was used to study the charging processes of polyethylenedioxythiophene (PEDOT) modified electrodes in the potential range where PEDOT was in the oxidized state. The results show that the charging behaviors of the PEDOT films are well agreed with the exhausted finite diffusion model. The dependence of the capacitance values of the films on potential and concentration of solution was also studied in this potential range.     

聚吡咯水杨酸修饰电极的电化学行为及水杨酸含量测定

本用电化学方法制备了聚吡咯－水杨酸修饰电极；并进行了电化学行为的研究，经电化学处理该是电极对水杨酸根具有选择性响应，响应线性范围在１．０×１０＾－＾５－１．０×１０＾－＾３ｍｏｌ／Ｌ之间。电极斜率为４０ｍＶ／ｐＣ，该电极具有较好的稳定性，响应时间在１８０－３００ｓ之间；电极寿命可达６０ｄ。     

肌苷的离子交换法提取工艺研究

研究了肌苷发酵液不同pH值、树脂预平衡条件、饱和树脂的洗菌、淋洗条件对肌苷离子交换提取和解吸工艺影响情况，并对其离子交换吸附机理进行了详细探讨，旨在确定最佳提取工艺条件。     

Band structure studies on crystalline C60, Ca3C60, and Ca5C60

The three-dimensional EHMO crystal orbital calculations for crystalline C₆₀, Ca₃C₆₀, and Ca₅C₆₀ are reported. The ground states of both undoped solid C₆₀ and partially doped Ca₃C₆₀ are found to be insulating with an indirect energy gap of 1.2 and 0.5 eV, respectively. In contrast, Ca₅C₆₀ forms a metallic conducting phase with a set of three half-filled bands crossing the Fermi level, which is found to be located close to a peak of the density of state. The character of crystal orbitals near the Fermi level for both Ca₃C₆₀ and Ca₅C₆₀ is completely carbonlike. In both cases, the Ca atoms are almost fully ionized and C₆₀ molecules form a stable negative charge state with six to 10 additional electrons. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
