We describe a continuous flow scheme to conceive and produce hierarchically organized large emulsions and particles with very good control over size, shape and internal structure. By assembling together elementary co-axial flow modules and integrating their corresponding functions, modular set-ups can be designed “on demand” to engineer complex architectures in characteristic sizes ranging from 50 μm up to a few millimeters. The high potentiality of this approach stems from the continuous production of drops and the ability to manipulate and functionalize each one independently “on line”. Its great versatility is limited only by the number of combinations possible using the modular toolbox and one's imagination. We illustrate this through the encapsulation of droplets or solid particles of various shapes, composition and size, in liquid or solidified drops as well as the formation of large organic or inorganic cylindrical particles.  相似文献

This paper presents the development of the magneto-thermoelastic problem in non-homogeneous isotropic cylinder in a primary magnetic field when the curved surface of the cylinder subject to certain boundary conditions. The governing coupled linear partial differential equations in the hyperbolic-type have been solved numerically using the finite-difference method. Graphical results for the temperature, displacement and components of stresses are illustrated and discussed for copper-like material. The results indicate that the effects of inhomogeneity and magnetic field are very pronounced. Some more interesting particular cases have also been discussed.  相似文献

In this work we study wave propagation for a problem of an infinitely long solid conducting circular cylinder whose lateral surface is traction free and subjected to known surrounding temperatures in the presence of a uniform magnetic field in the direction of the axis. The problem is in the context of generalized magneto-thermo-elasticity theory with one relaxation time. Laplace transform techniques are used to derive the solution in the Laplace transform domain. The inversion process is carried out using a numerical method based on Fourier series expansions. Wave propagation in the elastic medium and in the free space, bounding it, is investigated.  相似文献

This paper introduces an approximate solution for Liouville‐Caputo variable order fractional differential equations with order 0 < α(t) ≤ 1 . The solution is adapted using a family of fractional‐order Chebyshev functions with unknown coefficients. These coefficients have been obtained by using an optimization approach based on minimax technique and the least pth optimization function. Several linear and nonlinear fractional‐order differential equations are discussed using the proposed technique for fixed and variable order fractional‐order derivatives. Moreover, the response of RC charging circuit with variable order fractional capacitor is studied for different cases. Several comparisons with related published techniques have been added to illustrate the accuracy of the proposed approach.  相似文献

Monitoring and quantification of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) in the environment constitute important and challenging tasks, as they are directly associated with human health. Three commonly used proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), namely, omeprazole sodium (OMP), pantoprazole sodium (PNT), and lansoprazole sodium (LNZ) are well separated and quantified using ultra-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) in pharmaceutical industrial wastewater. The separation of the studied drugs was performed on a stationary phase with a WatersTM column (100 × 2.1 mm, 1.7 µm). The mobile phase was composed of methanol:0.05 M potassium dihydrogen phosphate buffer (adjusted to pH 7.5 using NaOH) (50:50, v/v). The elution process was done in gradient mode by changing the relative proportions of the mobile phase components with time to get an optimum separation pattern. The flow rate of the developing system was adjusted to 0.8 mL/minute. Detection of the separated drugs was performed at 230 nm. The studied drugs were quantified in the concentration range of 10–200 ng/mL for all drugs. The cited method was fully validated according to the international conference on harmonization (ICH-Q2B) guidelines, then it was applied successfully for quantification of the studied PPIs in real wastewater samples after their solid phase extraction (SPE).  相似文献

The cathodic behavior of tin, indium, and tin–indium alloys in 0.5-M solutions of oxalic, malic, and citric acids has been investigated using potentiodynamic techniques at temperature range of 30–60 °C. The results showed that the corrosion rate (I corr) is higher at lower indium percent (0.5% In) and starts to decrease gradually as increase of the In percent up to 5% In (although it is still higher than that of pure tin and lower than that of indium at 5% In) in all examined acids. The positive shift in corrosion potential with simultaneous increase in corrosion rate can be explained on the basis of the depolarizing action of β-InSn4 phase compared with pure tin. The negative shift in the corrosion potential with much higher corrosion rate in case of alloys IV and V (10% and 20% In, respectively) can be ascribed to the formation of γ-In3Sn phase which leads to the increase in the anodic to cathodic area ratio. The corrosion of the two investigated metals and their alloys is affected by the formation of soluble complex species with organic acid anions. The aggressiveness of the studied metals and their alloys decreases in the following order of the organic acids employed oxalic > malic > citric acid. The observed activation energy values support that the tested electrodes exhibit higher corrosion rates in oxalic acid solution than the corresponding values in the other investigated acids. X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy photographs elucidated the types of phases formed in the prepared alloys. The presence of a definite amount of indium in tin alloy improves the hardness.  相似文献

The external morphology of the antennal sensilla of Pteromalus puparum females (Hymenoptera: Pteromalidae) is described using scanning electron microscopy. The antennae of P. puparum females are geniculate in shape, formed from a large, cylindrical scape with a basal radicel fitting into the antennal socket, a shorter, barrel-shaped pedicel and a flagellum composed of 12 subsegments. Eight morphologically distinct types of sensilla were found on the female antennae. These are: nonporous sensilla trichodea types 1 and 2, which are putative mechanosensilla, nonporous sensilla chaetica, which may function as proprioceptors, uniporous sensilla trichodea types 3 and 4, which are presumably contact chemosensilla, basiconic capitate peg sensilla, which probably function in thermo-hygro reception, multiporous sensilla trichodea, and multiporous sensilla placodea which are all presumed to be olfactory sensilla.  相似文献

Two simple, rapid, sensitive, low-cost, and accurate methods (A and B) for the microdetermination of amantadine HCl (AMD) in pure form and in pharmaceutical formulations are developed. Method A is based on the formation of tris (o-phenanthroline)-iron(II) complex (ferroin) upon reaction of amantadine HCl with an iron (III)-o-phenanthroline mixture in sodium acetate-acetic acid buffer media. The ferroin complex is spectrophotometrically measured at λmax 509 nm against reagent blank. Method B is based on the reduction of Fe (III) by the drug which forms colored complex (λmax 521 nm) with 2,2′-bipyridyl. Optimizations of the experimental conditions are described. Beer’s law is obeyed in the concentration ranges 0.4–10 and 0.6–22 μg mL?1 using 1,10-phenanthroline and 2,2′-bipyridyl, respectively. The developed methods have been successfully applied for the determination of AMD in bulk drugs and in pharmaceutical formulations. The common excipients and additives did not interfere in their determinations.  相似文献

Novel routes to 3‐aminopyridazines, 10aH‐pyridazino[1,6‐a]quinazoline and, thieno[3,4‐d]pyridazine utilizing the reaction of 2‐oxobutanal‐1‐arylhydrazones 3a,b with α,β‐unsaturated nitriles are described. Condensation of 3 with ethyl cyanoacetate afforded pyridazinones that reacted with sulphur yielding thienopyradazinone 10 . Reaction of 10 with maleic anhydride and acrylonitrile afforded products of addition and hydrogen sulphide elimination. On other hand reacting 10 with enaminone and ethyl propionate afforded the product of addition of the amino function to activated double bond.  相似文献

Graphene oxide (GO) with high specific surface area was prepared and functionalized with ethylene diamine tetra‐acetic acid (EDTA). The as‐prepared GO and the functionalized one (GO‐EDTA) were characterized using high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT‐IR), X‐ray diffraction (XRD), and Raman spectroscopy. The as‐prepared and EDTA funcationalized GO were applied as adsorbent to remove strontium(II) and cobalt(II) from water. The results indicated that the prepared materials are efficient adsorbents for strontium(II) and cobalt(II) removal. The adsorption of CoII and SrII under effects of contact time, temperature, and pH was investigated It is concluded that the maximum adsorption capacities of GO for CoII and SrII were about 168 and 140 mg · g–1, whereas of GO‐EDTA the values were about 197 and 158 mg · g–1, respectively. It is indicated that pH 6 and temperature 40 °C are the best condition for CoII and SrII removal from water. The application of Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms indicated that Langmuir isotherm is best fit for CoII and SrII equilibrium adsorption. Adsorption kinetics were studied by applying pseudo first‐order, pseudo second‐order, and intraparticle diffusion models on the experimental data. The results proved that pseudo second‐order model is the best represented adsorption kinetics. Appling the intraparticle diffusion regressions on the experimental data indicated that intraparticle diffusion involved in adsorption process, which was not the only rate‐controlling step.  相似文献
