The past few decades have witnessed extensive efforts to disclose the unique reactivity of metal–nitrenes, because they could be a powerful synthetic tool for introducing the amine functionality into unactivated chemical bonds. The reactivity of metal–nitrenes, however, is currently mainly confined to aziridination (an insertion into a C=C bond) and C−H amination (an insertion into a C−H bond). Nitrene insertion into an amide C−N bond, however, has not been reported so far. In this work we have developed a rhodium-catalyzed one-nitrogen insertion into amide C−N and sulfonamide S−N bonds. Experimental and theoretical analyses based on density functional theory indicate that the formal amide insertion proceeds via a rhodium-coordinated ammonium ylide formed between the nitrene and the amide nitrogen, followed by acyl group transfer concomitant with C−N bond cleavage. Mechanistic studies have allowed rationalization of the origin of the chemoselectivity observed between the C−H and amide insertion reactions. The methodology presented herein is the first example of an insertion of nitrene into amide bonds and provides facile access to unique diazacyclic systems with an N−N bond linkage.  相似文献

We previously developed a chemoselective asymmetric phenol dearomatization using a silver catalyst and benzoic acid as an additive to enhance the reaction efficiency. The mechanistic role of the additive, however, remained unclear. Herein we describe detailed studies to elucidate the additive effect, which revealed that benzoic acid plays two supporting roles in the silver-catalyzed reaction. First, it promotes protonation of a silver enolate intermediate to improve the chemical yield of a spirolactam. Second, it dissociates a homochiral dimer of silver phosphate to generate a monomeric species.  相似文献

We report that the orthorhombic–rhombohedral phase transition temperature in sodium potassium niobate could be tuned from lower to higher than room temperature by incorporating barium zirconate into it. It is revealed that when barium zirconate is between 8 mol% and 15 mol%, the solid solution exhibits rhombohedral symmetry at room temperature. Rietveld analysis shows that the space group of the rhombohedral phase is R3m. It is suggested that a relatively larger B‐cation favors the low‐temperature phase which is a common phenomenon for perovskite ferroelectrics. (© 2009 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. We have investigated photon-stimulated ion desorption from deuterated benzene (C6D6) adsorbed on Si(1 0 0) and Si(1 1 1) surfaces following C 1s core excitation. Using time-of-flight mass spectrometry combined with angle-dependent technique, we measured the dependences of mass-spectra of desorption ions on photon energies and on incident angle (θ) of synchrotron beam. We have found the ion yields for adsorbate-derived fragments of CD+ and CD2+ are enhanced in very small angles of incident X-rays. Moreover, molecular orientation effect appeared in excitation energy dependences of D+ ions from the Si(1 0 0) and Si(1 1 1) surfaces; that is, ion yield spectra measured at θ = 10° are different from that at θ = 65°. Furthermore, it was found that desorption ion yields increase greatly with decreasing incident angles. The angular dependences are consistently similar for all ion species, excitation energies, and indexes of substrates. Possible desorption processes are described on the basis of the observations.  相似文献

We developed a versatile synthetic process for aeruginosin 298-A as well as several attractive analogues, in which all stereocenters were controlled by a catalytic asymmetric phase-transfer reaction and epoxidation. Furthermore, drastic counteranion effects in phase-transfer catalysis were observed for the first time, making it possible to three-dimensionally fine-tune the catalyst (ketal part, aromatic part, and counteranion).  相似文献

According to the Grotthuss–Draper law, light must be absorbed by a substrate to initiate a photoreaction. There have been several reports, however, on the promotion of photoreactions using hypervalent iodine during irradiation with light from a non-absorbing region. This contradiction gave rise to a mystery regarding photoreactions involving hypervalent iodine. We demonstrated that the photoactivation of hypervalent iodine with light from the apparently non-absorbing region proceeds via a direct S0→Tn transition, which has been considered a forbidden process. Spectroscopic, computational, and synthetic experimental results support this conclusion. Moreover, the photoactivation mode could be extended to monovalent iodine and bromine, as well as bismuth(III)-containing molecules, providing new possibilities for studying photoreactions that involve heavy-atom-containing molecules.  相似文献

An acid-promoted novel skeletal rearrangement is described. Using trifluoroacetic acid as the acid promoter, an intramolecular ipso-Friedel-Crafts-type addition of phenols to 3-alkylidene indolenium cations, formation of iminium cations through rearomatization of the spirocyclohexadienone units, and intramolecular Pictet-Spengler reaction proceeded sequentially, producing tricyclic indole derivatives.  相似文献

The first successful Pd-catalyzed intramolecular ipso-Friedel-Crafts allylic alkylation of phenols, which provided a new access to spiro[4.5]cyclohexadienones, is described.
