Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were directly synthesized on flexible polymer substrates without damage of polymer by microwave irradiation. Cobalt was used as the catalysts, and the synthesis was done in the atmospheric pressure with an acetylene carbon source. Only 5 s was required for the synthesis of well-graphitized CNTs. Phthalaldehyde reacted with primary amines in the presence of tetracarbonylhydridoferrate under mild conditions to give 2-substituted isoindoles and/or isoindolines in good to excellent yields. Aliphatic amines gave selectively the isoindolines but aromatic amines had a great tendency to the isoindoles. 2-(2-Tolyl)-, 2-(4-tolyl)-, 2-(4-methoxyphenyl)-, 2-(3-chlorophenyl)-, 2-(4-chlorophenyl)- and 2-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-isoindole were prepared by this method. 相似文献

Herein, PEGylated multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWNT) was prepared for the successive fabrication of poly(vinyl alcohol) PVA/MWNT nanocomposite film by solution casting. The surface modified MWNT showed a good colloidal stability in a polar solvent, i.e., water. Also, the PEGylated MWNT had an improved dispersion stability in aqueous PVA solution. The mixture of PEGylated MWNT and PVA dissolved in water was film casted and the dispersion uniformity and corresponding improvement of electrical conductivity were investigated. The electrical conductivity of PVA/modified MWNT composite film was three-fold higher than that of PVA/pristine MWNT composite film due to the much improved distribution uniformity of modified MWNT in PVA matrix. 相似文献

The interaction of cobalt(II), nickel(II), copper(II), zinc(II), cadmium(II), silver(I) and lead(II) with symmetrical mono-N-benzylated and xylyl-linked macrocyclic ligands derived from the O2N3-macrocycle, 1,12,15-triaza-3,4:9,10-dibenzo-5,8-dioxacycloheptadecane, has been investigated. The log K values for the respective 1 : 1 complexes in 95% methanol (I= 0.1; Et4NClO4, 25 degrees C) of the mono-benzylated derivative have been determined potentiometrically and the results compared with the values obtained previously for the parent (non-benzylated) ring system as well as for related di- and tri-benzylated macrocyclic species. Mono-benzylation results in slightly enhanced stability for the 1 : 1 silver(I) complex while the values for the corresponding complexes of the other six ions are in each case decreased even though the highest stability is still maintained for the 1 : 1 copper(II) complex. The log K results are in accord with a previous proposal that N-benzylation of amine-containing macrocyclic rings of the present type will normally have only a minor (positive or negative) influence on the affinity towards silver(I) while the corresponding binding strengths towards the remaining six metal ions are significantly reduced-behaviour we term 'selective detuning'. Competitive seven-metal transport experiments across a bulk chloroform membrane have been performed using both ligand systems as ionophores. In parallel to the log K results, transport selectivity for copper(II) was exhibited by both systems, with similar transport efficiencies being evident when compared on a 'per macrocyclic cavity' basis. 相似文献

We have employed Dy L3-edge extended X-ray absorption fine structure measurements to investigate the local structures of Dy doped in Ge–As–S and Ge–Ga–S glasses. It turned out that Dy–S distance on average is conspicuously longer in Ge–Ga–S glass despite the number of the nearest neighboring S atoms being nearly identical with each other. The enhanced rare-earth solubility of Ge–Ga–S glass is then explained in connection with decrease in covalence of Ga–S bonds compared with Ge–S or As–S bonds, and structural correlation between GaS4 tetrahedra and Dy. The discrepancy in the local structural environments of trivalent Dy, however, results in no significant changes in the spectral lineshape and the mean energy of its intra-4f-configurational transitions. 相似文献

The signal amplification technique of peptide nucleic acid (PNA)-based electrochemical DNA sensor was developed in a label-free and one-step method utilizing enzymatic catalysis. Electrochemical detection of DNA hybridization on a PNA-modified electrode is based on the change of surface charge caused by the hybridization of negatively charged DNA molecules. The negatively charged mediator, ferrocenedicarboxylic acid, cannot diffuse to the DNA hybridized electrode surface due to the charge repulsion with the hybridized DNA molecule while it can easily approach the neutral PNA-modified electrode surface without the hybridization. By employing glucose oxidase catalysis on this PNA-based electrochemical system, the oxidized mediator could be immediately reduced leading to greatly increased electrochemical signals. Using the enzymatic strategy, we successfully demonstrated its clinical utility by detecting one of the mutation sequences of the breast cancer susceptibility gene BRCA1 at a sample concentration lower than 10(-9) M. Novel thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) consisting of poly(isobutylene‐b‐indene) (PIB‐b‐PInd) arms radiating from hexamethylcyclohexasiloxane (D) cores were prepared, characterized, and their properties investigated. The syntheses of these star‐blocks involved the linking by hydrosilation of PInd‐b‐PIB CH2 CHCH2 prearms to D. The prearms were obtained by initiating the living polymerization of Ind by the cumyl chloride (CumCl)/TiCl4 or cumyl methoxide (CumOMe)/TiCl4 systems, continuing by the sequential block copolymerization of IB, and concluding the synthesis by end quenching with allyltrimethylsilane (ATMS). Dedicated experiments were carried out to develop conditions for the various synthesis steps. Select mechanical, thermal, and rheological properties of TPE star‐blocks having 5–18 PInd‐b‐PIB arms have been investigated. Because of the high Tg of the glassy PInd segment (Tg,PInd = 170–220°C), these TPEs maintained their strength at higher temperatures than those of similar polystyrene‐based star blocks. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Asthma is characterized by airway inflammation induced by immune dysfunction to inhaled antigens. Although respiratory viral infections are the most common cause of asthma exacerbation, immunologic mechanisms underlying virus-associated asthma exacerbation are controversial. Clinical evidence indicates that nitric oxide (NO) levels in exhaled air are increased in exacerbated asthma patients compared to stable patients. Here, we evaluated the immunologic mechanisms and the role of NO synthases (NOSs) in the development of virus-associated asthma exacerbation. A murine model of virus-associated asthma exacerbation was established using intranasal challenge with ovalbumin (OVA) plus dsRNA for 4 weeks in mice sensitized with OVA plus dsRNA. Lung infiltration of inflammatory cells, especially neutrophils, was increased by repeated challenge with OVA plus dsRNA, as compared to OVA alone. The neutrophilic inflammation enhanced by dsRNA was partly abolished in the absence of IFN-gamma or IL-17 gene expression, whereas unaffected in the absence of IL-13. In terms of the roles of NOSs, dsRNA-enhanced neutrophilic inflammation was significantly decreased in inducible NOS (iNOS)-deficient mice compared to wild type controls; in addition, this phenotype was inhibited by treatment with a non-specific NOS inhibitor (L-NAME) or an specific inhibitor (1400 W), but not with a specific endothelial NOS inhibitor (AP-CAV peptide). Taken together, these findings suggest that iNOS pathway is important in the development of virus-associated exacerbation of neutrophilic inflammation, which is dependent on both Th1 and Th17 cell responses. 相似文献

N‐glycan structures released from miniature pig endothelial and islet cells were determined by matrix‐assisted laser desorption/ionization time‐of‐flight (MALDI‐TOF), negative ion electrospray ionization (ESI) MS/MS and normal‐phase high performance liquid chromatography (NP‐HPLC) combined with exoglycosidase digestion. Totally, the identified structures were 181 N‐glycans including 129 sialylated and 18 α‐galactosylated glycans from pig endothelial cells and 80 N‐glycans including 41 sialylated and one α‐galactosylated glycans from pig islet cells. The quantity of the α‐galactosylated glycans from pig islet cells was certainly neglectable compared to pig endothelial cells. A number of NeuGc‐terminated N‐glycans (80 from pig endothelial cells and 13 from pig islet cells) are newly detected by our mass spectrometric strategies. The detailed structural information will be a matter of great interest in organ or cell xenotransplantation using α 1,3‐galactosyltransferase gene‐knockout (GalT‐KO) pig.
