The title compounds were prepared by the ring–ring interconversion of ethyl 5‐nitroso‐6‐arylimidazo[2,1‐b]thiazole‐3‐carboxylates with hydrochloric acid. An in-depth knowledge about the characteristics of lightning generated currents will facilitate evaluation of the interception efficacy of lightning protection systems. In addition, it would aid in extraction of valuable statistics (from measured current data) on local lightning parameters. Incidentally, present day knowledge on characteristics of lightning induced current in typical lightning protection systems is rather limited. This is particularly true with closely interconnected protection systems, like the one employed in Indian Satellite Launch Pad-II. This system is taken as a specific example in the present study. Various aspects suggest that theoretical modelling would be the best possible approach for the intended work. From the survey of pertinent literature, it is concluded that electromagnetic modelling of lightning return-stroke with current source at the channel base is best suited for this study. Numerical electromagnetic code was used for the required electromagnetic field solution and Fourier transform techniques were employed for computing time-domain results. A validation for the numerical modelling is provided by laboratory experiments on a reduced scale model of the system. Apart from ascertaining the influence of various parameters, salient characteristics of tower base currents for different kinds of events are deduced. This knowledge can be used in identifying the type of event, as well as its approximate location. A method for estimation of injected stroke current has also been proposed.  相似文献

Powder neutron diffraction and Hi-Q neutron diffraction data have been recorded and analysed in order to obtain the local and long range order of Cu in Cudoped CeO2 with three doping levels of Cu. Rietveld method and MCGR techniques of data analysis for the two types of data reveal that the Cu ion is in the 2+ oxidation state and has a vacancy in its first coordination shell. These deductions from the data analysis fit well with the mechanism of catalysis we propose.  相似文献

We report a low temperature synthesis of layered Na0.20Co02 and K0.44CoO2 phases from NaOH and KOH fluxes at 400°C. These layered oxides are employed to prepare hexagonal HCoO2, LixCoO2and Delafossite AgCoO2 phases by ion exchange method. The resulting oxides were characterised by powder X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, SEM and EDX analysis. Final compositions of all these oxides are obtained from chemical analysis of elements present. Na0.20Co02 oxide exhibits insulating to metal like behaviour, whereas AgCoO2 is semiconducting. We present a magnetic study of the insulating perovskite LaMn1−xTixO3+δ (0<x0.2) including measurements of magnetization, susceptibility, and magnetic relaxation. The Curie temperature was found to decrease with increasing content of Ti. Two distinct magnetic transitions, irreversibility, non-exponential relaxation and aging effects confirm a reentrant spin–glass state for x=0.2. The time decay of the magnetization has an algebraic functional form for times up to 2 h. The specific heat also displays characteristic features of a spin–glass system by a linear low-temperature dependence and a broadened peak near the temperature of the reentrant transition.  相似文献

We report rheological, X-ray, and dielectric investigations on a chromonic liquid-crystalline system formed by aqueous solutions of a food coloring agent, Sunset Yellow, in the absence and upon addition of salt. The salt-concentration dependence of the steady-state viscosity at low shear rates has a non-monotonic variation and is qualitatively similar to the behavior seen in wormlike micellar systems, a surprising result since chromonic systems are expected to be non-micellar in character. More interestingly, for a particular low concentration of the salt (20 mM), the viscosity increases by 3 orders of magnitude in comparison with that of the pure chromonic material. The dynamic (oscillatory) rheological data bring out features which can be described in terms of a microstructure formation. X-ray and dielectric studies show that certain characters of the aggregates formed by the Sunset Yellow molecules are not altered by the addition of salt.  相似文献

A minimum-phase function, which characterizes the velocity dispersion in tissue was calculated from measured attenuation. This function was incorporated into a causal tissue model. Predictions of attenuation using the minimum-phase function with just a single pole matched measured attenuation in the 1- to 10-MHz range within a few percent. Dispersion of phase velocity predicted by the single-pole model was comparable to measured dispersion. The frequency associated with the single pole, which is a relaxation frequency, decreased with hemoglobin concentration and collagen content but increased with temperature. The electrical equivalent circuit for this model is a delay coupled with a low-pass filter which can be configured as a resistance in series with a parallel combination of resistance and capacitance.  相似文献

Two genes, cut1 and cut2, of Thermobifida fusca NRRL B-8184 with cutin-hydrolyzing activity were cloned and expressed in Escherichia coli BL21 (DE3) separately. Enhanced expression was achieved after screening of six different media, optimization of the culture conditions and medium components. Among the screened media, modified Terrific Broth was found to be the best for maximum production of recombinant cutinases in E. coli BL21 (DE3). Under optimal conditions, the production of recombinant Cut1 and Cut2 (cutinases) were found to be 318?±?0.73 and 316?±?0.90 U/ml, respectively. The production of recombinant cutinases was increased by 11-fold as compared with T. fusca NRRL B-8184 wild-type strain. Both the recombinant cutinases were purified to homogeneity. They were found to be thermostable, organic solvent, and surfactant tolerant. Both the cutinase were active in a broad range of temperature (40–80 °C) and pH (6.8–9) with optimum activity at pH 8.0 and 55 °C.  相似文献
