Cu 2p, Cu 3d and O 1s electron spectra and Cu L3M4,5M4,5 Auger electron spectra from Cu, Cu2O and CuO have been studied at 25°C and at 400°C. The height of the Cu 2p satellite peaks from copper oxides was lowered when the temperature was raised. The intensity of the satellites also decreased if the sample stayed in vacuum for prolonged periods.Two commercial cuprous oxides were different with respect to the behaviour of the satellite peaks. One produced very weak satellites, while the other produced strong ones as previously reported in the literature for cuprous oxide. The colour of the oxides was slightly different, indicating that the stoichiometry was not the same.The change in satellite intensity is accompanied by changes in oxygen spectra, Cu L3M4,5 M4,5 Auger spectra and valence band spectra.It is useful to study Auger electrons in addition to the direct electron spectrum, since Auger signals can be more sensitive to surface conditions than direct electron spectra.  相似文献

PORPHYRIN-INDUCED PHOTODAMAGE TO ISOLATED HUMAN NEUTROPHILS   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Abstract— Human neutrophils were irradiated with light at 340–380 nm in the presence of low concentrations of protoporphyrin or uroporphyrin. At increasing light doses or increasing concentrations of protoporphyrin, the neutrophils rapidly lost the ability of locomotion. Also, neutrophil chemiluminescence and hexose-monophosphate shunt activity rapidly declined. An early event was leakage of endogenous K+ followed by lactate dehydrogenase and at a later stage leakage of particle-bound acid phosphatase. A number of cellular enzymes were inactivated, the susceptibility to inactivation decreased in the order: succinate dehydrogenase > lactate dehydrogenase > glutamate dehydrogenase > acid phosphatase. Uroporphyrin had no effect on neutrophil functions, leakage of K+, or cellular enzymes. The results suggest that photodamage to the plasma membrane and the mitochondria are earlier events than photodamage to lysosomes.  相似文献

Self-propelled motion of a chemically powered nanodimer is discussed. The nanodimer comprises two linked spheres, one of which has equal interactions with A and B solvent species but catalyzes the reaction A-->B. The other sphere is not chemically active but interacts differently with the two species. The nonequilibrium concentration gradient generated at the catalytic end, in conjunction with the force difference at the noncatalytic end, leads to directed motion. The model mimics features of experimentally studied synthetic nanorod motion. Particle-based simulations and analytical estimates of the velocity provide insight into the nature of nanomotor directed motion.  相似文献
