Precision measurements with LPCTrap at GANIL

The experimental achievements and the results obtained so far with the LPCTrap device installed at GANIL are presented. The apparatus is dedicated to the study of the weak interaction at low energy by means of precise measurements of the β ? ν angular correlation parameter in nuclear β decays. So far, the data collected with three isotopes have enabled to determine, for the first time, the charge state distributions of the recoiling ions, induced by shakeoff process. The analysis is presently refined to deduce the correlation parameters, with the potential of improving both the constraint deduced at low energy on exotic tensor currents (⁶He¹⁺) and the precision on the V _{u d} element of the quark-mixing matrix (³⁵Ar¹⁺ and ¹⁹Ne¹⁺) deduced from the mirror transitions dataset.     

Investigation of polymer/inorganic hybrid photovoltaic device using quantum dots as the interface modifier

CdS quantum dots (QDs) were introduced as an interface modifier in the poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT)/TiO₂ nanorod arrays hybrid photovoltaic device. The presence of CdS QDs interlayer was found to provide enhanced light absorption, increased interfacial recombination resistance at the P3HT/TiO₂ interfaces, thus leading to a lower recombination rate of the electrons due to the stepwise structure of band edge in P3HT/CdS/TiO₂, which accounts for the observed enhanced photocurrent and photovoltage of the hybrid solar cells. The optimized performance was achieved in P3HT/CdS/TiO₂ hybrid solar cells after deposition of CdS QDs for 10 cycles, with a power conversion efficiency of 0.57 %, which is nearly ten times higher than that of P3HT/TiO₂. The findings indicate that inorganic semiconductor quantum dots provide effective means to improve the performance of polymer/TiO₂ hybrid solar cells.

本文讨论了从细杆的振动中提出的一类带阻尼项的拟线性双曲型方程的初边值问题的解在唯一性，利用已有的线性结果及动点定理结合能量估计建立了解的存在唯一性。     

变耦合系数非线性三波导定向耦合器特性研究

报道了对高斯型及指数型变耦合系数三波导耦合器的一些重要的全光开关特性进行的研究。利用四阶龙格一库塔方法对指数型和高斯型两类变耦合系数三波导耦合器进行了数值计算。数值计算结果表明：对于变耦合系数三波导耦合器而言,功率可在波导1与波导3之间100％转换,而波导2则不可能达到100％的功率输出。与双波导变耦合系数耦合器相比,在相同的最大耦合系数情况下三波导变耦合系数耦合器开关曲线要更陡一些．即具有更好的开关特性。与平行三波导耦合器相比,变耦合系数三波导耦合器作为光开关的最大优点在于开关曲线中不存在振荡。     

Characteristics of an add-drop filter composed of a Mach-Zehnder interferometer and double ring resonators

A planar lightwave circuit (PLC) add-drop filter is proposed and analyzed, which consists of a symmetric Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) combined with double microring resonators. A critical coupling condition is derived for a better box-like drop spectrum. Comparisons of its characteristics with other schemes,such as a MZI with a single ring resonator, are presented, and some of the issues about device design and fabrication are also discussed.     

Reversibility window in as-quenched Ge-As-S glasses

Thermoanalytical characteristics and Raman scattering of high purity sulfur and ternary bulk glasses Ge_xAs_xS_(100−2x) for x=4-22 at. % were studied. The intermediate phase characterized by vanishing of non-reversing heat flow ΔH_nr, i.e. so-called the thermally reversing window was found between mean coordination number 〈r〉∼2.28-2.47. Separated phase of non-crystalline cycloocta-S, manifesting itself by λ-transition at ∼155 °C, was found for glasses with sulfur content higher than ∼80 at.%. Raman spectra of studied Ge-As-S glasses showed different shapes in three different areas according to three distinct phases of network glasses-floppy, intermediate, rigid.     

Effect of mesoporous carbon containing binary conductive additives in lithium ion batteries on the electrochemical performance of the LiCoO2 composite cathodes

Binary conductive additives (BCA), formed by sonication of mesoporous carbon (MC) and acetylene black (AB), were used as conductive additives to improve the electrochemical performance of a LiCoO₂ composite cathode. The electrochemical performance of the LiCoO₂ composite cathode dispersed with BCA was investigated. The results showed that the electrochemical performance (including the discharge capacity, the discharge voltage and the total internal resistance) of a BCA loaded LiCoO₂ composite cathode was better than that of a cathode loaded with AB. The possible mechanism is that the MC in BCA can adsorb and retain electrolyte solution, which allows an intimate contact between the lithium ions and the cathode active material LiCoO₂ due to its large mesopore specific surface area. A simplified model was also proposed.     

LD泵浦Nd:YVO_4双波长运转腔内和频491nm激光器

分析了Nd:YVO4激光器实现双波长运转及腔内和频的条件,利用一种LD泵浦Nd:YVO4晶体产生1 064 nm和914 nm双波长激光束,采用一个线性平凹腔结构,利用腔内Ⅰ类临界相位匹配LBO和频,获得了连续波输出的全固态激光器。实验采用端面结构,在5.0 W的808 nm泵浦功率下,获得了最高功率为2.5 mW连续波TEM00的激光输出,光-光转换效率为0.05%。     

Nonlinear optical switching matrix

We show that nonlinear directional couplers with variable coupling coefficients can be used to compose a special kind of switching matrix. The switching matrix can be controlled by the signal itself or by a strong pump. Light routing is realized by adjustment of the power of the signal or the pump. Because light routing is based on the optical Kerr effect, ultrafast routing is possible.     

外加电场法制备LiNbO3周期畴的反转电流特性研究

采用外加电场法制备了LiNbO3单晶周期畴结构.在对不同尺寸周期畴的反转电流进行比较研究的基础上,提出了一种确定反转畴成核时间和纵向贯穿速率的方法.根据这一方法,得到在电场强度为25.1 kV/mm,脉冲宽度为50 ms的脉冲方波作用下,LiNbO3单晶反转畴的成核时间约为80 ns,纵向贯穿速率约为O.1667 m/s.
