A small series of ruthenium(II) tris(2,2'-bipyridine) complexes has been synthesized in which ethynylated thiophene residues are attached to one of the 2,2'-bipyridine ligands. The photophysical properties depend on the conjugation length of the thiophene-based ligand, and in each case, dual emission is observed. The two emitting states reside in thermal equilibrium at ambient temperature and can be resolved by emission spectral curve-fitting routines. This allows the properties of the two states to be evaluated in both fluid butyronitrile solution and a transparent KBr disk. It is concluded that both emitting states are of metal-to-ligand charge-transfer (MLCT) character, and despite the presence of conjugated thiophene residues, there is no indication for a low-lying pi,pi*-triplet state that promotes nonradiative decay of the excited-state manifold. A key feature of these systems is that the conjugation length imposed by the thiophene-based ligand helps to control the rate constants for both radiative and nonradiative decay from the two MLCT triplet states.  相似文献

The development of the acidity and the relationship between acidity, catalytic activity, and the surface structure for niobium oxide supported on zirconia were investigated for a series of solids. The catalysts were active for 2-propanol dehydration only above a threshold in Nb loading. The acidity was studied by infrared spectroscopy of adsorbed 2,6-dimethylpyridine as a probe molecule, and the onset of activity was correlated with that of the formation of relatively strong Br?nsted acid sites. The variation in the abundance of these sites also correlated with the catalytic activity. Raman, IR, and UV spectroscopy results indicated that the active sites were related to polymeric Nb surface species. These results were compared to those previously reported for the WO(x)/ZrO(2) catalysts.  相似文献

A stereoselective synthesis of heavily functionalized six-membered ring subunits, which possess functionality at sites appropriate for further elaboration, is described. The cyclopentanone moiety of hydrindenediol is required to achieve total facial selectivity during the pre-domino installation of the second quaternary center, while oxidative cleavage is responsible for the ring-expanding rearrangement. A microwave-assisted version of the key domino transformation and a test of concept approach toward the iridal core structure are also presented.  相似文献

The complex aggregation processes of dodecyltrimethylammonium chloride (DTAC) have been studied in dilute solutions of sodium salicylate (NaSal) by isothermal titration calorimetry and electrical conductivity at temperatures between 278.15 K and 318.15 K. A structural transformation that was dependent on the concentrations of DTAC and NaSal was observed. The micellization process in dilute solutions of DTAC has been subjected to a detailed thermodynamic analysis and shown to occur at considerably lower critical micelle concentrations than reported for DTAC in water and NaCl solutions. Gibbs free energy, Δ mic G o, and entropy, Δ mic S o, were deduced by taking into account the degree of micelle ionization, β, estimated from conductivity measurements. From the temperature dependence of the enthalpy of micellization, Δ mic H o, the heat capacities of micellization, Dmic cpo {\Delta_{{{\rm mic} }}}c_p^o were determined and discussed in terms of the removal of large areas of non-polar surface from contact with water upon micellization. The process is exothermic at all temperatures, indicating, in addition to the hydrophobic effect, the presence of strong interactions between surfactant and salicylate ions. These were confirmed by 1H NMR spectroscopy and diffusion NMR experiments. Salicylate ions not only interact with the headgroups but also insert further into the micelle core. At c NaSal/c DTAC > 2.5, the structural rearrangements occur even at relatively low concentrations of NaSal.  相似文献

The development of chemical reactions in nanospaces is of paramount importance for the development of active nanodevices, particularly in nanofluidics. It has been shown in a previous paper that phospholipid vesicles can be incorporated without spontaneous bilayer rupture into poly-L-glutamic acid/poly(allylamine) (PGA/PAH) multilayered polyelectrolyte films. The aim of the present study was to use such a system as an "embedded submicronic reactor" able to trigger precipitation of calcium phosphates within closed spaces through an enzymatic reaction, the enzyme also being encapsulated in the vesicle interior. To this aim, large unilamellar vesicles (LUVs) were produced containing calcium ions as active ions in the mineralization process, spermine as an activator of crystal growth, and alkaline phosphatase as a catalyst to convert phosphate esters into phosphates. After stabilization by adding a layer of poly-(D-lysine), these vesicles were embedded in a (PGA-PAH)n film. A paranitrophenyl phosphate containing solution was then put in contact with this film. It is shown by means of infrared spectroscopy in the attenuated total reflection mode that, consecutively to this contact, calcium phosphates are growing inside the embedded vesicles. By using scanning near-field fluorescence microscopy, it is demonstrated that the alkaline phosphatase enzymes are most probably located inside the vesicles after their embedding. In addition, atomic force microscopy was used to show, after chemical removal of the organic top layer of the film, that the inorganic platelets produced after the precipitation reaction are localized in volumes of similar size and shape as that of the vesicles into which the phosphate ester hydrolysis and subsequent precipitation reaction did occur.  相似文献

PP-carbon CPC show interesting thermo-electrical properties, smooth resistivity increase with temperature up to 150°C and consequently high power dissipation on a wide temperature range. The addition of short carbon fibers to PP already formulated with carbon black increases sharply the electrical conductivity of the CPC but does not have much influence on thermal conductivity as it could have been expected from the favorable aspect ratio of the fibers. The simulations of the thermo-electrical behavior of the CPC under tension put into evidence a temperature gradient at high heat flux due to the low thermal conductivity, which may damage the material itself.  相似文献

A new dinuclear manganese(II) complex was synthesised with the biscompartimental ligand 2,6-bis[bis(2-pyridylmethyl)aminomethyl]-4-nitrophenol (NO(2)BpmpH) and characterised by X-ray crystallography. Magnetic susceptibility measurements revealed that the two high-spin Mn(II) ions are antiferromagnetically coupled with a singlet-to-triplet separation of 7.2 cm(-1). The powder EPR spectra were recorded for both X- and Q-bands between 1.8 K and 35 K. A detailed analysis of these spectra led to the determination of three out of five individual spin-state zero-field splitting parameters. From the proposed simulations, the exchange coupling constant J and the intermetallic distance have been computed.  相似文献

A simple and efficient synthesis of modified 1,2,3-triazole nucleosides was developed. The strategy involved sequential one-pot acetylation-azidation-cycloaddition procedure and was found to be highly effective under a cooperative effect of ultrasound activation and iron/copper catalysis. The reactions were carried out under both conventional and ultrasonic irradiation conditions. In general, improvement in rates and yields were observed when reactions were carried out under sonication compared with conventional conditions. This one-pot procedure provides several advantages such as operational simplicity, high yield, safety and environment friendly protocol. The resulting substituted nucleosides were evaluated for their anticancer activity against K562 chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) cell line.  相似文献
