S-factors for direct capture reactions can be found at astrophysical energies from asymptotic normalization coefficients which
provide the normalization of the tail of the overlap function. For example the overlap for 8B → 7Be+p defines the S-factor for 7Be (p, γ)8B. Peripheral transfer reactions offer a technique to determine these asymptotic normalization coefficients. As a test of
the technique, the 16O(3He, d)17F reaction has been used to determine asymptotic normalization coefficients for transitions to the ground and first excited
states of 17F. The S-factors for 16O(p, γ)17F calculated from these 17F → 16O+p asymptotic normalization coefficients are found to be in very good agreement with recent measurements. Following the same
technique, the 10B(7Be, 8B)9Be and 14N(7Be, 8B)13C reactions have been used to measure the asymptotic normalization coefficient for 7Be(p, γ)8B. This result provides an indirect determination of S

The collision-induced dissociation (CID) of deprotonated arylalkylamines of general formula R(1)C(6)H(4)CHR(2)CH(2)NR(3)(2) (where R(1) = H, OH, F or NO(2); R(2) = H or OH; R(3) = H or CH(3)) generated by negative chemical ionization with H(2)O and D(2)O as ionizing reagents, is discussed. The negative chemical ionization mass spectra show that, in the absence of a hydroxy group in the aromatic ring, deprotonation takes place at the benzylic position whereas the proton is lost from the OH group when present. The nitro compound forms only M(-.) ions. The CID spectra of the deprotonated molecules show that fragmentations are strongly dependent on the structural features of the molecules, namely the presence or absence of substituents in the aromatic ring or aliphatic chain. The conversion of nitrate (NO(3)(-)) to 1-phenylazo-2-naphthol (Sudan-1) has been examined as a method for natural abundance measurement of delta(15)N of NO(3)(-). The reaction results in dilution of NO(3)(-)-N with only one reagent-derived N and the product is readily concentrated from dilute samples by reverse phase chromatography. There is systematic isotopic fractionation during the reaction, but this can be allowed for by analysing known NO(3)(-) standards along with each sample set. Sudan-1 prepared from surface water samples containing approximately 50 &mgr;g NO(3)(-)-N can be analysed by automated continuous flow isotope ratio mass spectrometry with a precision of 0.2 per thousand (one standard deviation) and the accuracy is not affected by interference from other nitrogenous species in the sample or reagents. Shigella flexneri 3a causes bacillary dysentery. Its O‐antigen has the {2)‐[α‐d ‐Glcp‐(1→3)]‐α‐l ‐Rhap‐(1→2)‐α‐l ‐Rhap‐(1→3)‐[Ac→2]‐α‐l ‐Rhap‐(1→3)‐[Ac→6]≈40 %‐β‐d ‐GlcpNAc‐(1→} ([(E)ABAcCAcD]) repeating unit, and the non‐O‐acetylated equivalent defines S. flexneri X. Propyl hepta‐, octa‐, and decasaccharides sharing the (E′)A′BAcCD(E)A sequence, and their non‐O‐acetylated analogues were synthesized from a fully protected BAcCD(E)A allyl glycoside. The stepwise introduction of orthogonally protected mono‐ and disaccharide imidate donors was followed by a two‐step deprotection process. Monoclonal antibody binding to twenty‐six S. flexneri types 3a and X di‐ to decasaccharides was studied by an inhibition enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and STD‐NMR spectroscopy. Epitope mapping revealed that the 2C‐acetate dominated the recognition by monoclonal IgG and IgM antibodies and that the BAcCD segment was essential for binding. The glucosyl side chain contributed to a lesser extent, albeit increasingly with the chain length. Moreover, tr‐NOESY analysis also showed interaction but did not reveal any meaningful conformational change upon antibody binding. 相似文献

In this paper is described an easy, one-pot synthesis of ZnO hollow spheres with sizes ranging from 300 nm to 500 nm, by spin-coating deposition on aluminum substrate. Simplified models explaining the shape formation based on film-substrate interaction are discussed. The characteristic size and shape of the nanostructures obtained by the described method and the properties of ZnO as a low-cost biocompatible material make this methodology of synthesis interesting for a wide range of applications including optoelectronics, catalysis and (bio)sensors. 相似文献

Fenton‐type reactions using transition metal complexes in the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide to hydroxyl radical generation have received special attention due to their advantages over classical homogeneous processes involving soluble iron salts. Thus, the goal of this study was to investigate the use of an iron complex with the ligand pyridine‐2,6‐dicarboxylic acid (dipicolinic acid or DPA) as a homogeneous catalyst for the oxidation of the quinoline. The synthesized iron complex showed a molar ratio of 1:2 metal/ligand and was efficient in the quinoline oxidation at pH values near neutrality. The tests were monitored by mass spectrometry that allows identification of the different intermediates and showed complete oxidation of the quinolone compound. Moreover, in order to shed some light on the formation of hydroxyl radicals and the overall reaction mechanism, some theoretical calculations at the DFT level were performed. The results of this study demonstrated that the iron‐DPA complex is a good catalyst for the oxidation of quinoline by a Fenton‐like mechanism. As a result of the stressful conditions in aquaculture facilities there is a high risk of bacterial infections among cultured fish. Chlortetracycline (CTC) is one of the antimicrobials used to solve this problem. It is a broad spectrum antibacterial active against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Numerous analytical methods for screening, identifying, and quantifying CTC in animal products have been developed over the years. An alternative and advantageous method should rely on expeditious and efficient procedures providing highly specific and sensitive measurements in food samples. Ion-selective electrodes (ISEs) could meet these criteria. The only ISE reported in literature for this purpose used traditional electro-active materials. A selectivity enhancement could however be achieved after improving the analyte recognition by molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs).Several MIP particles were synthesized and used as electro-active materials. ISEs based in methacrylic acid monomers showed the best analytical performance according to slope (62.5 and 68.6 mV/decade) and detection limit (4.1 × 10−5 and 5.5 × 10−5 mol L−1). The electrodes displayed good selectivity. The ISEs are not affected by pH changes ranging from 2.5 to 13. The sensors were successfully applied to the analysis of serum, urine and fish samples. 相似文献

Background
Our group previously demonstrated that a DNA plasmid encoding the mycobacterial 65-kDa heat shock protein (DNA-HSP65) displayed prophylactic and therapeutic effect in a mice model for tuberculosis. This protection was attributed to induction of a strong cellular immunity against HSP65. As specific immunity to HSP60 family has been detected in arthritis, multiple sclerosis and diabetes, the vaccination procedure with DNA-HSP65 could induce a cross-reactive immune response that could trigger or worsen these autoimmune diseases. 相似文献80.

Tin(II) complexes with 8-hydroxyquinolinate in solid state have been obtained by adding aqueous ammonium to a solution containing
stannous chloride and 8-hydroxiquinoline in medium of HCl and acetone up to pH 5 and 9, respectively. The products obtained
show the same composition, Sn(C9H6ON)2; however there are some differences regarding both the thermal behaviour in an oxidant atmosphere and morphology. These products
were characterised by elemental and complexometric analysis, TG and DTA curves, infrared and X-ray diffractometry. TG curves
show, above 448 K, the partial oxidation on air atmosphere of Sn(II) complexes to Sn(IV) complexes, SnO(C9H6ON)2. This behaviour does not depend only on pH in which the compounds were obtained but also on the heating rate in TG curves.
Sn(II) complexes volatilise almost completely on nitrogen atmosphere and partially on air atmosphere depending on the oxidation
degree of the compound.
