A method and results of measurements are presented of the ion energy distribution in a deuterium liner accelerated in the inverse Z-pinch, in which the plasma is accelerated electrodynamically from the liner axis. Knowledge of the deuteron energy distribution is of primary importance for the correct interpretation of the experimental results from the study of the dd-reaction in the range of infralow energies with the use of a liner plasma. Experiments were carried out in a high-current pulsed accelerator (I=950 kA, τ=80 ns) at the Institute of High-Current Electronics of the Siberian Division of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Tomsk, Russia). In the initial state, the liner is a supersonic hollow deuterium jet 32 mm in diameter and 20 mm in length. The liner parameters were measured with the help of optical detectors of H α and H β deuterium lines and magnetic probes arranged in a radial direction (along the direction the liner expansion). In addition, scintillation spectrometers and BF3 counters were used to measure the intensity of the neutron flux produced in the d + d → 3He + n reaction. The results obtained by simultaneously analyzing the data from magnetic probes, optical detectors, and neutron detectors point to the possibility of using a rather simple method for measuring the parameters of the liner accelerated up to energies of 3–6 keV. 相似文献

Electrical resistance (R) measurements of a bulk La0.33Nd0.33Ca0.33MnO3 perovskite in magnetic fields up to 40 kOe have revealed anomalous temperature hysteretic effects both in 0 Oe and 20 kOe
magnetic fields. The sharp peak observed in the R vs. T plot indicates the occurrence of metal-to-insulator (M-I) transition at a temperature of T
MI=110 K and 140 K, for cooling and warming paths, respectively. An applied magnetic field of 20 kOe reduces the resistance
and shifts T
MI to 160 K and 185 K for cooling and warming, respectively. We have observed a much higher resistance in the cooling path than
in the warming path leading to the hysteretic resistance ratio (R
cool/R
warm) of 200 at 110 K and 1.8 at 160 K for 0 Oe and 20 kOe, respectively. Record values of colossal magnetoresistance (CMR) have
been achieved. The CMR value reaches nearly 99% in the temperature ranges of 90 K to 140 K and 90 K to 170 K for 20 kOe and
40 kOe magnetic fields in the cooling mode, respectively. The observed unusual behavior is attributed to the co-existence

We have studied the peak effect (PE) phenomenon in single crystals of weakly pinned superconductors CeRu2 and 2H-NbS2. 2H-NbS2 is iso-structural and iso-electronic to 2H-NbSe2, whose similarity with CeRu2 as regards the PE representing the order-to-disorder transformation of the flux line lattice was claimed some time ago. The formation of the Co/Si(110)16 × 2 interface and its magnetic properties are studied by high-energy-resolution photoelectron spectroscopy using synchrotron radiation and magnetic linear dichroism in the photoemission of core electrons. It is shown that a cobalt coating less than 7 Å thick deposited on the silicon surface at room temperature results in the formation of an ultrathin (1.7 Å) interfacial cobalt silicide layer and a layer of silicon-cobalt solid solution. The ferromagnetic ordering of the interface is observed at an evaporation dose corresponding to 6–7 Å in which case a cobalt metal film begins to grow on the solid solution layer. During 300°C-annealing of the sample covered by a nanometer-thick cobalt layer, the metal film gradually disappears and four silicide phases arise: metastable ferromagnetic silicide Co3Si and three stable nonmagnetic silicides (Co2Si, CoSi, and CoSi2). 相似文献

The solid-phase synthesis of manganese silicides on the Si(100)2 × 1 surface coated at room temperature by a 2-nm-thick manganese film has been investigated using high-energy-resolution photoelectron spectroscopy with synchrotron radiation. The dynamics of variation of the phase composition and electronic structure of the near-surface region with increasing sample annealing temperature to 600°C, has been revealed. It has been shown that, under these conditions, a solid solution of silicon in manganese, metallic manganese monosilicide MnSi, and semiconductor silicide MnSi1.7 are successively formed on the silicon surface. The films of both silicides are not continuous, with the fraction of the substrate surface occupied by them decreasing with increasing annealing temperature. The binding energies of the Si 2p and Mn 3p electrons in the compounds synthesized have been determined. 相似文献

gravitational scalar wave processes [6] and generalize to five dimensions the known four-dimensional Einstein-Rosen and Bondi-Pirani-Robinson
