High frequency dielectric measurements in the range 10 MHz to 10 GHz have been performed on poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) and its complexes with lithium perchlorate using time domain spectroscopy. Measurements were made over a wide polymer-to-salt composition range and in the temperature range 50–75°C. All samples were amorphous. A relaxation was observed for PEO and its complexes with LiClO4 in the GHz region and is attributed to the β (αa) relaxation arising from long-range segmental motion of the polymer or the ion-polymer complex. Good agreement was found between conductivity values determined by TDS and those quoted in the literature An increase in salt concentration in the polymer increases the distribution of relaxation times which may be explained in terms of increased intermolecular and intramolecular transient crosslinks. The dispersion amplitude (ε?ε) has a maximum value between an O/Li ratio of 20:1 and 12:1 and shows a similar dependence on salt concentration as the conductivity. 相似文献

We have measured the temperature dependences of the relaxation time of the superconducting order parameter and of the equilibrium energy gap close to the transition temperature in very clean films of aluminum. The results are only consistent with the temperature and energy gap dependence predicted by Schmid and Schön. We also show that the magnitude and mean free path dependence of the electron inelastic collision time is in good agreement with calculations. 相似文献

The conventional type of magnetic well is formed by superposition of two types of magnetic field, axial bumpy field and radial
multipole field. It is used to contain plasma that consists of neutrals, ions and electrons. These particles are in constant
motion in the well and energetic electrons create plasma by violent collisions with neutrals and ions. The confined electrons
are constantly heated by ECR technique in the presence of magnetic field. In this paper it has been shown theoretically that
how the electron motion is influenced in terms of heating, containment and azimuthal uniformity of plasma, by the axial rotation
of the multipole magnetic field [1,2]. Afterwards, the feasibility of achieving a rotating magnetic multipole field is discussed
to some extent. And it is seen that it is not beyond the capability of the scientific community in the present scenario of
the advanced technology. Presently, it can be achieved for lesser field and slightly larger size of the multipole electromagnet

Routing and scheduling problems have received considerable attention in the literature in terms of model building and algorithm development. On these fronts, progress has been substantial. However, one often neglected (yet critical) aspect concerning the use of these models and algorithms is their data requirements. In particular, the distance matrix yielding the shortest distance between each pair of sites (nodes) represents a major portion of the data required by all such problems. Yet, such data are seldom available with the degree of accuracy desired and often are not available at all.This paper describes an efficient method for obtaining this distance matrix that is based on the underlying road structure for the geographic region in question. Thus, the distances obtained reflect ‘actual’ distances. Finally, the paper presents some brief computational experience and discusses an implementation concerning the routing of environmental inspectors in the state of Pennsylvania. 相似文献

The preparation of 4'-alkyl- and 4'-alkoxy-4-cyano-3-fluorobiphenyls by four different procedures is described and discussed; the best method involves palladium(0)-catalysed coupling of arylboronic acids and 4-bromo-(or 4-iodo-)-2-fluorobenzonitrile. The effects on transition temperatures of fluoro substitution ortho to the terminal cyano group in biphenyls are compared with the effects in other terminal cyano compounds and in mesogens without a terminal cyano group. The effect of the ortho fluoro substituent in 4-cyanobiphenyls is particularly large and is probably due to the severe disruption of antiparallel correlations; the depressions of the smectic A and nematic phase stabilities are similar which suggests that, as for compounds with alkyl or alkoxy terminal groups, the fluoro substituent at the 3-position has a tendency to enhance smectic character, but this is offset by the molecular broadening it causes. 相似文献
