The relationship between the electronic structure and odorant properties of organic compounds has been investigated. The conclusion previously drawn in [1] regarding the electronic-topological features characterizing the active portion of a molecule (the ambergris triangle) has been confirmed on the basis of quantum-chemical calculations. The general theory of thermal ignition under the conditions of thermal analysis of flammable substances is discussed. For a linear heating rate of the specimen the ignition temperature is obtained from the relationship $$(dT/dt)_b - \frac{q}{{(dT/dt)_b }} = \frac{E}{{RT_b^2 }}(T_b - T_c^\prime )$$ whereTc is the temperature of the reactor wall (heated at the rateq) at the starting moment of the development of the thermal explosion.  相似文献

Feedback is proposed for distinguishing between two weak coherent states with phases differing by ∼π. The mutual nonorthogonality of such states gives rise to a discrimination error, which can be reduced by using feedback. An optical quantum channel is discussed where the input is classical information encoded in two weak coherent states. For a channel with feedback, the discrimination error probability is calculated, and the mutual entropy that quantifies the fidelity between input and output is evaluated. We find that the use of a feedback loop in a quantum communication channel can increase the mutual entropy when canonical position or photon number is measured.  相似文献

We consider the longitudinal compression of a straight bar whose rigidity is a periodic integrable function of the longitudinal coordinate. For a hinged bar with one clamped end, we obtain approximate analytic formulas that permit obtaining the critical compressing loads under which an adjacent, curved form of equilibrium is possible. In the case of a bar of stepwise varying rigidity that consists of a single period (the limit case), we compare the results obtained by our formulas with the already known exact solutions of the stability equation. A good agreement between the approximate and exact results is shown.  相似文献

We propose a new approach to generate and detect spin currents in graphene, based on a large spin-Hall response arising near the neutrality point in the presence of an external magnetic field. Spin currents result from the imbalance of the Hall resistivity for the spin-up and spin-down carriers induced by the Zeeman interaction, and do not involve a spin-orbit interaction. Large values of the spin-Hall response achievable in moderate magnetic fields produced by on-chip sources, and up to room temperature, make the effect viable for spintronics applications.  相似文献

Results from studying the contribution from inverse flexoelectric and photoelastic effects to the photorefractive response upon counter-wave interactions corresponding to the reflective holograms of (100)-cut sillenite single crystals are reported.
