Black body radiation from a fibre ofβ SiC can be used to investigate the temperature profile in a premixed flame. An infrared scanner determines the radiation intensity of the fibre, which is related to the fibre temperature by a calibration law. A fast time constant and excellent spatial resolution of the fibre make the method a very helpful tool to study the turbulent flames.  相似文献

We investigate the use of cutting planes for integer programs with general integer variables. We show how cutting planes arising from knapsack inequalities can be generated and lifted as in the case of 0–1 variables. We also explore the use of Gomory's mixed-integer cuts. We address both theoretical and computational issues and show how to embed these cutting planes in a branch-and-bound framework. We compare results obtained by using our cut generation routines in two existing systems with a commercially available branch-and-bound code on a range of test problems arising from practical applications. © 1998 The Mathematical Programming Society, Inc. We give a definition of the order parameter for the paracoherent-ferrocoherent phase transition in a Josephson array and we show that the amplitude of the critical current in the array is proportional to this order parameter. The dewetting of thin polystyrene films (20-500 nm) on a liquid substrate is studied at time scales that are long compared to the reptation time. It is shown that the kinetics correspond to those of purely viscous flow and that the viscosity measured by this technique is, for the thickest films, consistent with bulk measurements. Films on the order of the coil size are then studied. The effective viscosity of these films displays a large decrease when the film thickness h is below several radius of gyration, R(g). This viscosity reduction is found to depend only on the ratio h/R(g).  相似文献

We propose a fluorescence surface imaging system that presents a power of resolution beyond that of the diffraction limit without resorting to saturation effects or probe scanning. This is achieved by depositing the sample on an optimized periodically nanostructured substrate in a standard total internal reflection fluorescence microscope. The grating generates a high-spatial-frequency light grid that can be moved throughout the sample by changing the incident angle. An appropriate reconstruction procedure permits one to recover the fluorescence amplitude from the images obtained for various incidences. Simulations of this imaging system show that the resolution is not limited by diffraction but by the period of the grating.  相似文献
