The rate constant kf for CCl3COO? electroreduction at constant applied potential, once corrected for diffuse-layer effects according to Frumkin, still depends on the charge density qi due to specifically adsorbed supporting ions. Thus, in the presence of the adsorbed anions Br?, I?, SCN? and N3?, the logarithm Φ of the rate constant corrected for diffuse-layer effects decreases linearly with |qi|, albeit slightly. In the presence of the adsorbed cations Tl+ and C(NH2)3+, Φ increases with the positive charge density qi due to the cation at a rate which is 3 to 8 times greater than the corresponding rate of decrease in the presence of the adsorbed anions. This behaviour has been interpreted on the basis of the theoretical treatment of ref. 22 by considering that the time of adsorption of the electroactive anion CCl3COO? is long enough to permit a perturbation in the distribution of the adsorbed supporting ions in the immediate vicinity of the adsorbed reactant.  相似文献

The adsorption of 1-amino-3-cyclopentene on the (100) silicon surface has been studied by methods rooted in the density-functional theory using both delocalized (plane waves, PWs) and localized (Gaussian-type orbitals, GTOs) basis functions. The results obtained by modeling the surface by silicon clusters of different sizes are quite similar, thus confirming that the reaction is quite localized. Furthermore, PW and GTO computations give comparable results, provided that the same density functional and carefully chosen computational parameters (contraction of GTO, pseudopotentials, etc.) are used. Slab computations performed in the PW framework show that the cluster results are retrieved when low-coverage adsorption on the surface is considered. On these grounds, we are quite confident that reaction parameters obtained by the more reliable hybrid density functional (PBE0) are essentially converged, our best estimates of reaction and activation free energies are thus -40 and 6 kcal/mol, respectively.  相似文献

Synthetic procedures have been developed which lead to 4-hydroxy-6,9-difluorobenz[g]isoquinoline-5,10-dione ( 4a ) and its 3-methyl analogue 4b . Attempts to displace the fluorides from 4a with N,N-dimethylethylenediamine were unsuccessful. Analogue 4a on treatment with N-(t-butoxycarbonyl)ethylene diamine led to 15 , formed from addition of the nucleophilic amine to C-3. On the other hand, analogue 4b , on treatment with N,N-dimethylethylenediamine led to the anticipated difluoride displacement product 3c . The protection of the hydroxy group of 4a by benzylation with phenyldiazomethane led to 4c which on treatment with N-(t-butoxycarbonyl)ethylene diamine or N,N-dimethylethylenediamine led to the corresponding 6,9-bis-substituted analogues 18a and 18b , respectively. Reductive debenzylations of 18a and 18b by hydrogenation over Pearlman's catalyst also effected partial reductions of the quinone. However, air oxidation of the over reduced products led to 3a and 3b , respectively. Treatment of 3a with hydrogen chloride gas led to the hydrochloride salt of 3d . Addition of O-p-Methoxybenzyl-N,N'-diisopropylurea to 4a led to the p-methoxybenzyl analogue 4d . Treatment of 4d with N,N-dimethylethylene diamine or N-(t-butoxycarbonyl)ethylene diamine led to displacements of the fluorides to yield 18c and 18d , respectively. Deprotection of 18c to 3b was accomplished using methanesulfonic acid. Treatment of 18d with trifluoroacetic acid followed by addition of maleic acid led to dimaleate salt of 3d .  相似文献

The behaviour of allylpalladium(II) complexes in THF towards molecular hydrogen under mild experimental conditions has been studied. The decomposition to palladium metal and propane is discussed in terms of the fluxionality of the allyl moiety and the stability of a proposed PdH intermediate. Reaction of allylpalladium(II) complexes with H2 and allene results in catalytic selective hydrogenation to give propene.  相似文献

Concentrations of metals (Al, Fe, Ti, Ni, Mn, Cr, Zn, Cu, Pb) were determined in surface sediments from Taranto gulf (Ionian Sea, Southern Italy) in order to assess the distribution and the bioavailability of metals. Total metal content and speciation of Fe, Ni, Mn, Zn, Cu and Pb were determined. Sediment cores were also sampled in some stations of particular interest. The analytical results show that metals distribution does not show significant variations in relation to depth. Metal distribution in the Taranto gulf is mainly influenced by industrial wastes from Taranto town, by rivers of the Basilicata region and by prevailing anticlockwise marine currents. These factors cause an accumulation of metals in the sediments near to the coasts of Calabria. The statistical analysis, effected by HCA and PCA methods, can be considered a good starting point in order to classify sediment samples and to locate accumulation areas. Metal speciation shows that Fe, Ni and Zn are present in sediments mainly as sulphides, Mn is present principally in an ion-exchange form or bound to carbonate, while Cu and Pb are mainly present in the fraction bounds to humic acids.  相似文献

The coupling between electron transfer and protein dynamics has been studied at room temperature in isolated reaction centers (RCs) from the photosynthetic bacterium Rhodobacter sphaeroides by incorporating the protein in polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) films of different water/RC ratios. The kinetic analysis of charge recombination shows that dehydration of RC-containing PVA films causes reversible, inhomogeneous inhibition of electron transfer from the reduced primary quinone acceptor (Q(A)(-)) to the secondary quinone Q(B). A more extensive dehydration of solid PVA matrices accelerates electron transfer from Q(A)(-) to the primary photooxidized electron donor P(+). These effects indicate that incorporation of RCs into dehydrated PVA films hinders the conformational dynamics gating Q(A)(-) to Q(B) electron transfer at room temperature and slows down protein relaxation which stabilizes the primary charge-separated state P(+)Q(A)(-). A comparison with analogous effects observed in trehalose-coated RCs suggests that protein motions are less severely reduced in PVA films than in trehalose matrices at comparable water/RC ratios.  相似文献

Three principal methods have been developed for measuring femtomoles of damage in nanogram quantities of non-radioactive DNA. Lesions which can be quantified include single and double strand breaks, alkali labile sites including apurinic and apyrimidinic sites, and pyrimidine dimers. The first in vitro method measures the conversion of supercoiled DNA to relaxed or linear molecules, and can detect up to four lesions per molecule. The second in vitro method (supercoil depletion) assesses the fraction of intact linear molecules of homogeneous length, and allows detection of 8 lesions/molecule. The third method, measurement of molecular length distributions of DNAs of heterogeneous length, reveals the extent of DNA damage and repair in vivo or in vitro.  相似文献

The complex formation of vanadium(IV) with 1,3,5-triamino-1,3,5-trideoxy-cis-inositol (taci) and 1,3,5-trideoxy-1,3,5-tris(dimethylamino)-cis-inositol (tdci) was studied in aqueous solution and in the solid state. The formation constants of [V(IV)O(taci)](2+), [V(IV)O(tdci)](2+), and [V(IV)(tdci)(2)](4+) and of the deprotonation product [V(IV)(tdci)(2)H(-)(1)](3+) were determined (25 degrees C, 0.1 M KNO(3)). Macro- or microquantities of gallium can be separated from iron by precipitating the latter with sodium hydroxide in the presence of EDTA. Nearly all the gallium remains in solution. After the separation of iron, gallium is extracted with tributylphosphate from 3 N hydrochloric acid medium, and then re-extracted into water. Gallium is finally determined by precipitation with cupferron and ignition to the oxide, or for trace amounts of gallium, by colorimetric determination with rhodamine B. N-Nosyl-alpha-amino acid methyl esters are methylated quantitatively with diazomethane. After proper deprotection of the amino function by treatment with the reagent system mercaptoacetic acid/sodium methoxide, the obtained N-methyl amino acid methyl esters are coupled with N-Fmoc amino acid chlorides to afford the corresponding dipeptides. The obtained products do not show any detectable extent of racemization by (1)H NMR and HPLC.  相似文献
