An evaluation of the gas-phase ion chemistry of rotenone (1) by electrospray ionisation (ESI) mass spectrometry (MS) and tandem mass spectrometry (MS2) is presented, aiming at providing tools for its determination in natural and biological matrices. The behaviour of its cycloadducts with benzonitrile-N-oxide (2) and 2,4,6-trimethylbenzonitrile-N-oxide (3) was also evaluated and the MS data thus obtained have provided evidence into the mechanism of formation of the key product ion at m/z 192 which can be considered a marker in the MS and MS2 spectra of rotenone and its derivatives.  相似文献

A 5 m x 50 microm capillary column with 0.05 microm stationary phase film thickness, with a calculated efficiency of almost 20,000 plates per metre (under optimum conditions), was used for very fasthigh resolution GC analysis of lime essential oil. The total analysis time of this volatile essential oil was less than 90 s. Fast GC is shown to be appropriate for essential oil quality assurance analysis, and quantitative results of key components are comparable with those obtained by using conventional GC analysis. The fast GC analysis is approximately 33 times faster than the conventional GC method.  相似文献

Summary: Star‐shaped hydroxy‐terminated poly(ε‐caprolactone)s (ssPCL), with arms of different lengths, were obtained by ring‐opening polymerization (ROP) of ε‐caprolactone initiated by pentaerythritol, and were condensed with α‐methyl‐ω‐(3‐carboxypropionyloxy)‐poly(ethylene oxide)s ( = 550–5 000) to afford four‐armed PCL‐PEO star diblock copolymers (ssPCL‐PEO). The polymers were characterized by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy and size‐exclusion chromatography (SEC). The melting behavior of ssPCLs was studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). X‐ray diffraction and DSC techniques were used to investigate the crystalline phases of ssPCL‐PEOs.

We have simulated the photoisomerization dynamics of azobenzene, taking into account internal conversion and geometrical relaxation processes, by means of a semiclassical surface hopping approach. Both n-->pi* and pi-->pi* excitations and both cis-->trans and trans-->cis conversions have been considered. We show that in all cases the torsion around the N==N double bond is the preferred mechanism. The quantum yields measured are correctly reproduced and the observed differences are explained as a result of the competition between the inertia of the torsional motion and the premature deactivation of the excited state. Recent time-resolved spectroscopic experiments are interpreted in the light of the simulated dynamics.  相似文献

The formation of non-absorbing complexes in an organic phase has been exploited for the spectrophotometric determination of ionic analytes in aqueous solutions. The method is based on liquid-liquid extraction of aqueous solution with lipophylic organic phases containing an acid-base chromoionophore, a neutral lypophilic ligand (neutral carrier) selective to the analyte and a cationic (or anionic) exchanger. The method avoids all difficulties of the preparation of the very thin membranes used in optodes, so that it can advantageously be used for the study of the role physical-chemical parameters of the system in order to optimize them and to prepare, if necessary, an optimized optode. Two lipophylic derivatives of Nile Blue and 4',5-dibromofluorescein have been synthesized, in order to ensure their permanence within organic phase. Two different neutral carriers previously characterized by us as ionophores for liquid-membrane Ion Selective Electrodes have been employed. Three different ionic exchangers have been tested. Furthermore, a model allowing the interpolation of experimental data and the determination of the thermodynamic constant of the ionic-exchange equilibrium has been developed and applied.  相似文献

1,1,4,7,10,10-Hexamethyltriethylenetetramine (HMTTA) emerged from a limited parallel screening of selected polyamines as the most appropriate additive for an especially problematic Koenigs-Knorr glucuronidation. This initial finding rapidly evolved into a reliable and high-yielding procedure through the use of two sets of experimental designs. The detailed effect of the stoichiometry of reagents and the amount of amine additive on reaction yield was elucidated. The complexity of the response surface for product yield, described by a third-order polynomial equation, together with ancillary kinetic experiments evidenced the multiple role of HMTTA in the present glucuronidation process.  相似文献

Sesquiterpene lactones (SL) have been reported with various biological effects. Among the described SL skeletons, hirsutinolide and glaucolide have not been extensively studied by mass spectrometry (MS), especially how to distinguish them in organic matrices. Thus, this paper reports (1) a strategy of their differentiation based on MS behavior during the ionization and (2) a proposal of the fragmentation pattern for both SL‐subtypes. ESI(+)‐HRMS data of four isolated SL (hirsutinolides 1 and 3 ; glaucolides 2 and 4 ) were recorded by direct and UPLC water‐sample combined injections. These analyses revealed that hirsutinolides and glaucolides formed [M+Na]+ ion during the operation of the direct MS injection, and ([M+Na]+ and [M+H‐H2O]+) and [M+H]+ ions were respectively observed for hirsutinolides and glaucolides during the operation of combined UPLC water and sample MS injection. Computational simulations showed that the complex hirsutinolide ( 1 )‐Na+ formed with a lower preparation energy compared with the complex glaucolide ( 2 )‐Na+. However, despite their different behavior during the ionization process, ESI(+)‐HRMS/MS analyses of 1 ‐ 4 gave similar fragmentation patterns at m/z 277, 259, 241, and 231 that can be used as diagnostic ions for both skeletons. Moreover, the differentiation strategy based on the nature of the complex SL‐adducts and their MS/MS fragmentation pattern were successfully applied for the chemical characterization of the extract from Vernonanthura tweedieana using UPLC‐ESI‐HRMS/MS. Among the characterized metabolites, SL with hirsutinolide and glaucolide skeletons showed the aforementioned diagnostic fragments and an ionization behavior that was similar to those observed during the water‐sample combined injection.  相似文献

Two isoreticular series of pyrazolate-based 3D open metal-organic frameworks, MBDP_X, adopting the NiBDP and ZnBDP structure types [H(2)BDP = 1,4-bis(1H-pyrazol-4-yl)benzene], were synthesized with the new tagged organic linkers H(2)BDP_X (X = -NO(2), -NH(2), -OH). All of the MBDP_X materials have been characterized through a combination of techniques. IR spectroscopy proved the effective presence of tags, while X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD) witnessed their isoreticular nature. Simultaneous TG/DSC analyses (STA) demonstrated their remarkable thermal stability, while variable-temperature XRPD experiments highlighted their high degree of flexibility related to guest-induced fit processes of the solvent molecules included in the channels. A structural isomer of the parent NiBDP was obtained with a sulfonate tagged ligand, H(2)BDP_SO(3)H. Structure solution from powder diffraction data collected at three different temperatures (room temperature, 90, and 250 °C) allowed the determination of its structure and the comprehension of its solvent-related flexible behavior. Finally, the potential application of the tagged MOFs in selective adsorption processes for gas separation and purification purposes was investigated by conventional single component adsorption isotherms, as well as by advanced experiments of pulse gas chromatography and breakthrough curve measurements. Noteworthy, the results show that functionalization does not improve the adsorption selectivity (partition coefficients) for the resolution of gas mixtures characterized by similar high quadrupole moments (e.g., CO(2)/C(2)H(2)); however, the resolution of gas mixtures containing molecules with highly differentiated polarities (i.e., N(2)/CO(2) or CH(4)/CO(2)) is highly improved.  相似文献

Tetraglycidyl 4,4′-diaminodiphenylmethane (TGDDM) undergoes homopolymerization on heating. Intramolecular reactions which compete with crosslinking favor the formation of cyclic structures with increasing thermal and fire resistance of the resin, whereas physical mechanical properties tend to decrease. The mechanism of thermal decomposition of TGDDM is studied by thermogravimetry, differential scanning calorimetry and thermal volatilization analysis with characterization of volatiles evolved and residue left. Thermal degradation of poly-(TGDDM) starts at 260°C with elimination of water from secondary alcoholic groups which is a typical pathway for epoxy resin degradation. Resulting unsaturations weaken bonds in the β-position and provoke the first chain breaking at allyl–amine and allyl–either bonds. With increasing temperature, saturated alkyl–ether bonds and alkyl carbon–carbon bonds are broken first, followed by the most stable alkyl–aryl bonds at T>365°C. The combustion performance of TGDDM is discussed on the basis of the thermal degradation behavior.  相似文献
